Nice Restaurant. Unfortunately my salad dressing threw me over the deep end. After being a waitress for many years I have never seen anything like this in a restaurant. I was served Kens salad dressing in a packet. That is fine for takeout, but unacceptable at a restaurant. Restaurant salad dressing should be homemade. I make a homemade salad dressing daily for my salads that I love. I asked for Balsamic vinaigrette after I noticed the blue cheese package. That too was packaged. Nice Ambience and nice service. We've been going to Junior's since they opened. They have some great dishes. All the potatoes based food (fries, mashed potatoes, and especially the TOTS) are awesome! I'm also a huge fan of the ribeye steak the the Mt Diablo Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The good food, beer selection and friendly, attentive service make this one of the best options for a date night in Tracy. They recently started serving brunch on Sundays. If you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. The biscuits / gravy and the waffles are out of this world. I'm going to get straight to the point... Mackenzie (I hope that's how you spell her name) she was our waitress yesterday, her customer service skills are exceeding the expectation. Not only was she friendly to my kids but the patience she had was amazing. When you're a parent & you go out to eat with your children... it' means a lot when you have someone being kind to your kids. It just makes the whole environment that much better. We've been coming here at least once a week since they opened and they keep improving and striving to please. It's a needed infusion of great food and a place for drinks in our small city and we really like to support non-chain establishments. Every one has a favorite, the wings, chicken, burger and halibut are sure bets but we've yet to be disappointed. The bar does a good job with cocktails or brews and I love how the staff cares enough to walk through and ask if everything was to our satisfaction. We always have a great experience at Juniors. Fast service and huge portions. We love our server McKenzie!!! She is so friendly and good. We have another lady server and she is awesome too. But...... We have one experience that made me shave off 1 star. We had a large group reservation. Great service, good food. You may think, this is my fault for not checking the bill.... And yes it maybe is. They charged us $70 service fee for the large group of 15. I'm fine with that. But..... On top of that I paid $50 extra. Our server at other locations would tell us that tips are already included. And yes, normally I would caught or on other instance our server would remind us. Not this location......or maybe just our server. Maybe she was busy too... IDK So just a lesson for me, that's all. So telling you all to be careful on your large group visit. Just be mindful of your bill. Again, if it's food and service. This location got it down. Went here on a Friday night and it was busy! We had about a 45min wait to be seated for our party of 5, but no problem! We hung out at the bar and enjoyed some cocktails and great craft beer options. Food was great, I had the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and service was excellent. We also had the loaded tater tots, also very good. Hoping they expand the menu though, with some additional vegetarian options as I don't eat a lot of meat. What I really liked though is what they did with the inside and the addition of patio seating. The big bay windows really open the place up. Lastly, they did not charge corkage fee. We brought 2 bottles of wine and they just opened them right up! Chalk this place up as another quality dining establishment complimenting our downtown. read more

So Junior's is supposed to be open until 9 PM on Saturday night. My husband and I walked in at 8:45 and they said "oh we are sorry, but we are closed"! And I said, "what"? Because your hours say that you are open until nine.....they would not let us sit down and order food! I am so upset that I will never ever come here again! I mean WTF? It was freezing cold and we parked over by the station for a drink first, and then walked on over to juniors and we were so disappointed! So, if you are not open till nine, then you need to put it on your website that you are only open until 830 or 8 o'clock or 7:30 or, whatever! It was a nice Sunday afternoon. About 3 hours before closing. Not many people inside or outside. We're seated immediately upon entering (4 of us). 15 minutes later, finally, the waitress comes around for drinks. Took her 15 min from us sitting to getting some drinks. Look around...they have more staff standing around than parties in the restaurant. Finally got our drinks. Another 20 min goes goes by before she approaches to take our order. Order 2 appetizers and our meals at the same time. Guess what? 20 minutes again and 2 more rounds of drinks before even two appetizers show up. Really? Still not busy. Still plenty of staff standing around. It was just about 1 hour from sitting to getting our food. On a quiet, lazy Sunday afternoon with more staff than people eating. The food. Meh....put some effort into it. The first thing I thought of my order: Did this come from a vending machine and they just jazzed it up a little? A turkey sandwich with one razor thin slice of turkey. Really? On some cheap white bread you'd use for your kids PB&J for lunch. Man, I was disappointed. My friend had a hamburger. Who ever orders a hamburger cooked rare? Is that a thing? Is that even healthy? Other friend got a rubber ribeye. That was a pitiful looking steak. Atmosphere is nice. Service is terrible. Food is just a shoulder shrug ok. Go around the corer on the 11th. The manager there is an asshole. He will tell you how to speak and what to say while you're at your table when the people next to you are literally 50 fr from you because it offends him when you speak your mind. We had a $300 bill and we were told not once but twice I how to act while we're having a good time and enjoying a Friday night when clearly there's 10 people in the establishment and 95% of them are 60 feet from you and the music is playing too loud and you can't even em hear your thoughts. His excuse is that this is a restaurant setting and it's offending him that 4 adult women are saying the F bomb because are expressing our feelings. He said the the children who are sitting at the high tables (that are 12-14 years old) can hear us and we are offending them when clearly they don't even know we are existing 60" from them. We had to leave the establishment bec we are being restrained on how we should behave. He said we can't cuss bec Juniors is a restaurant. It is a bar and a restaurant. This is the most absurd thing I've ever heard in my life. We didn't offend anyone around us, we offended the manager. We've been coming here for years and I cannot believe we were treated the way we did. This manager probably felt like he can take on 4 ladies who doesn't know how to defend themselves. We were NOT rowdy, we were NOT disrespectful we just didn't like we were told NOT to verbally express how we feel. I'm sure if we were a Bunch of guys cussing and talking about sports, they never would've been addressed the way the way we were. Racist motherfucking asshole! If you're in the service industry then the staff needs to be trained to treat customers as guests and deliver not only good food but also good attitudes. It's always hit and miss with this place, which is not acceptable when the only thing that's consistent is an overpriced menu paired with a lackluster quality of food. The food really is not that great. I will go to Livermore for good food and service, it's worth it. Tracy needs better restaurants. read more

I love Juniors' and a lot of things about it. I like the food, love the vibe and the blackberry Margaritas, and i even love the manager with the beard--such a sweet guy. My boyfriend and I love to frequent this place, and we've got it as part of our rotation when we go out. We love this place so much, but we have been coming here less often than we used to. There are a few things that discourage us from coming, and it breaks my heart enough that I want to share some things that can help make it a more welcoming business. I want to talk about the prices. This restaurant is expensive for the quality of food and the quality of the restaurant experience. My boyfriend and I get 1 app, 2 meals, and 1 drink, and we're out $60-$70 before tip. For comparison, we go to Bistro 135 and 1 app, 2 meals, 1 dessert and 1 drink costs us $50 pre-tip, and the service/experience is more elegant. The casual atmosphere of Juniors kind of makes you expect a less expensive option. A specific example of Juniors being a disappointment is that the pretzel appetizer does not include a lot of pretzels, but its hella expensive. The pretzels are also put on a huge tray so they look even smaller and more alone on the tray. My 2nd issue is closely related to the prices issue. There is no happy hour at this restaurant, so nothing really incentivizes you to come back. Again, i compare to Bistro's daily happy hour from 4-6, which does 25% off apps everyday, plus $5 sangria and $5 house wine and beer (plus on wednesdays they do 30% off bottle service?!!). I feel bad comparing the two restaurants because I understand they are so different, but I just want to illustrate that the prices being so low incentivizes us to order more food and drinks because we feel like we are saving money, while still spending less than when we are at Juniors. And Bistro aint strugglin, cause they are always fully booked with reservations. As much as I feel bad comparing the 2 places, I can't help it, since they are the 2 main restaurants in downtown. The prices here make us go to Bistro, and thats just the reality of having competitive business. Juniors, if you read this, I hope you take this post with the love I intend it to have. Please consider doing a Happy Hour. In the meantime, I think we'll only be coming if we go with our parents who pay for dinner LOL. To everyone else reading this, Juniors is a satisfactory American restaurant, and if you wanna Splurge on American food, then go for it. The food and service are average/good, but I appreciate the atmosphere and the fact that its unique. One thing i love about the restaurant is the manager, he is really attentive to the customers and making sure all is well with the food. read more

Very clean, well designed establishment. COVID may have them slacking on their game, so we'll give them another shot in a few months. The food was just okay. Drinks need tweaking of recipes to be special, not just mediocre. Must say, for Tracy area the interior is impressive. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. New bar/restaurant named "THE STATION ' will be opening soon near the giant round-a-bout so I'm hopeful it will be better. read more
