Mother's Day dinner was a pure shit show with this place. We knew it'd be busy so we ordered "to go" from the app. First issue: the app does not take orders over $125. We're a big family so I ended up splitting it into 3 orders. Second issue: because I split the order, an item 3 members wanted kept going out of stock. The prime rib 16oz then the 14oz then the 12oz (only 2 of the 3 went thru on the order). Third issue: I went a few minutes just before the "scheduled" pickup time to pay the orders (app only took Apple Pay, giftcard, or pay at pickup). At this point I haven't gotten a call or text about my order. It's my turn up to the counter ("to go" pickup is outside) and ask about any possible available prime rib and she says they're out. I figure ok at least we got the 2 for the to-go order. I informed her that I have 3 to-go orders from the app. She goes to check on the orders and returns to inform me that they are COMPLETELY out of prime rib and had cancelled them from one of the orders. So basically 2 family members weren't getting dinner. ME being one of them. On mf MOTHER'S DAY! I kept my cool and proceeded to order dinner replacements. At this point we were 20min past the "scheduled" pickup time of 7:45pm and the orders still weren't ready. I asked the gal if I had ordered in the morning for pickup for dinner, would that have guaranteed the prime rib? She flat out said "Nope. We run out whenever we run out." Basically the app does not match up to their inventory and they don't hold anything for online/app orders. It's all first-come-first-served regardless of when you order. In other words the app is useless. Fourth issue: It seemed we had finally gotten the orders straight. All combined orders totaled over $300. I asked if I could get a discount since they cancelled part of my order without letting me know. They gave me my $12 appetizer free. I asked if I could get 10% off since the replacement dinners were more. About another $10 off. I thought whatever $22 off and still paid over $300 combined. Fifth issue: I asked how long for the order with the replacement steaks and she said should be quick about 20-30min. That seemed quick for how busy they were. So I waited. Not that I had a choice. 45 MINUTES LATER... Our food is finally ready and I'm still composed. I am at the counter and get the 3 huge bags. I start looking through them to try and make sure I have everything cause again it was multiple orders and I live 25-30min away. It was 9pm and so I'm trying to quickly go through the bags. Half the containers are soggy and cold. I think these might have been ready when I got there, but they're wanted me to wait until everything was ready. During the chaos the gal behind the counter asks me to move over cause they're backed up so she can help the next person. I tell her "I waited. They can wait." The lighting outside sucks. I can barely make out what's in each container. She again tells me to move to the side. I'm annoyed at this point and say "Ma'am I'll move when I'm ready." She calls over some shift mgr and tells her I won't move. That B of a mgr slams the window shut. At that point I was like F it. There's not enough room or light for me to check everything so I leave. Last issue: of course a bunch of sides are missing and some made incorrectly. By the time we tally up the damage the place was closed and no one is answering the phone. Cold, soggy food. Unhappy family. And a pissed off mom... on Mother's Day. I usually genuinely like Texas Roadhouse. Food is good. Service is ok, but yesterday they were crap through and through. Going today to get a refund of all the missing sides and extras that we never got. read more

It was really busy when we came, but overall still a good experience. This is one of my favorite spots, especially for the bread, it never misses. We started with the onion blossom, which was really good. I got the ribeye and fish with mashed potatoes and green beans, everything was delicious. My family ordered a bunch of stuff too, kids ribs and a couple steaks. The only thing was the steaks weren't cooked exactly how we asked, but it wasn't a huge issue. Service was still really good even with how busy it was. Everyone stayed attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Bathrooms were decent, nothing crazy. Parking though... is kind of horrible, so just be prepared for that. Restaurants in general have a decent vibe. Overall still a solid spot and I'll definitely be back. read more

Stopped by for a belated Valentine's Day lunch the day after V-Day to avoid the crowds and long wait times. We joined the waitlist online, and when we arrived we were seated within 5 minutes! It was still super crowded though, and I overheard a server say the wait on Valentine's Day itself was 5 hours. So glad we decided to come the next day. My steak was cooked exactly as requested. Hubby's steak came out overcooked, but they promptly remade it for him. Also, they have Coke Zero, which was awesome because I love when a spot offers it. Overall we had a delicious Valentine's Day lunch. Our server was friendly, but she seemed pretty rushed and didn't check on us very often. The manager, however, was walking around making sure everyone had what they needed and even stopped by to chat with us. The only thing they really need to work on is their parking lot situation because it's wild and overly packed. Some people were even parking in undesignated spots. I usually get the bbq chicken & sirloin combo, but this time I tried something different and I shouldn't have... bbq chicken is always moist and I like to order extra bbq sauce on the side. Sirloin is good and cooked to your liking. Appetizer platter was very disappointing. Fried pickles were cool. Boneless wings were moist but not appetizing. Rattlesnakes bites I thought would be good but weren't; cheese was too clunky and not stringy. Country fried sirloin was veryyy salty; would not order again. Cup of chili is always my fav! Decided to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse with the family. It was a Saturday around 4, it was busy, but not too bad. We were able to call about ten minutes before arrived and were put on the waitlist. As soon as we spoke to the hostess we were seated. Im sure if we would have went just an hour or two later our wait would have been much longer. As for the food. We all ordered steaks. I haven't sat down to eat inside since I had a bad experience with a server for a while now but I love the food so much I just order for pick up online and at the window. I had a horrible experience at the Modesto location so I will not ever be going to that location ever again. Any time I'm in Tracy and Texas is open I will come by and get the bread. Tracy location is more generous and friendly at the order window so I want to share that they haven't lost me as a customer like Modesto did. They are still always busy and much more on the weekends. Even a weekday there are already people waiting for them to open. Parking is difficult for sure on the weekends so expect to wait or circle a few times during those days. Wait time on to go food sometimes takes a longer while on weekends too For a while (during the pandemic) the bread and butter had a different taste but I noticed it went back to tasting good again I would recommend everything on the menu but I usually get steak and salmon. I don't think there is a combo of my favs together but if there was I would definitely get it. The last time I ordered a meal was on a Thursday because i had an email reward type coupon for a free appetizer. Only one time that we tried to go here for dinner is during Father's Day and that was unexpected that the wait time for a table was over 3 hours! But, any other times we visited it was never a long wait. The staff in here are always friendly and helpful. Greet you with a warm smile and accurate in taking our orders. My first time at this location and it did not disappoint. Came on a Thursday night after a long day at Great Wolf. We came hungry and was sat immediately. The server seemed like a kid in high school however he was polite and attentive. Service was better than many more expensive restaurants that I have been too. We ordered the Catcus Blossom as a starter and it never disappoints. Bread arrived at the table when we sat and the waiters made sure we always had some which we really appreciated. I had the Chicken Critters & Ribs combo with chili and buttered corn. Hubs ordered the New York Strip with a Cesar salad and sweet potato. This was more than enough food to feed our family of three. We went here last night on a whim. The place is large and always seems to be pretty busy. I checked in using their Virtual Waitlist and when we arrived we were seated pretty quickly. This place is loud, so if you are expecting a quieter place you probably need to go someplace else. They can accommodate large groups and there were a ton of birthdays being celebrated last night. Anyway, our server (Angelica) was very quick and attentive and was always floating around her area ready to help and/or get something if you needed it. The food was made really well and the 2 meals we ordered were cooked to perfection. We both ordered the 6oz Sirloin and they were cooked like we requested. The meat was very tender and flavorful. It came with a choice of 2 sides. We each selected a Salad and Baked Potato. We had dinner this afternoon and the place was wildly busy for 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon. That being said the service was very good. Our Server came by numerous times to check on us. My husband had a New York steak that was cooked medium instead of medium rare. He did not opt for another steak that was offered. They did take his meal off the tab. I had a rack of ribs that I throughly enjoyed. I took home two thirds because no possible way I could finish. My two sides were house salad with blue cheese dressing and plain baked potato, both excellent. Their dinners rolls are delicious. The place is packed and food, quality and service is all enjoyable. The hostess was super friendly and said it would be a few minute wait. We were seated in less than 10 minutes by Alicia who was also very friendly and welcoming. Our server Kristin was great- attentive and genuinely nice; she checked on us often. I decided to order from the Early Bird section since I've never been to a Texas Roadhouse before 5pm. I went with the Country Fried Sirloin Dinner. Kristin asked if I wanted the brown gravy or the white gravy. I couldn't decide, so she said we could do both. I ended up liking both of them! For the sides I got the mashed potatoes- delicious and my second side was fee chill, which I really liked. It's hearty and great topped with cheese and onions. It's a good size portion of food for $14.99. It's a typical Texas Roadhouse vibe, on the louder side- music vibrant bar area, singing of birthday celebrations, etc. Cool decor and I noticed the TV's show advertisements of local businesses. I didn't notice this at other locations so not sure if that was specific to Tracy. It was getting even busier when we left so I can imagine this place gets pretty packed during peak times. I rarely write reviews, but what I recently learned about how a family with autistic children was treated at this location was disturbing enough that people should know. A close friend of mine has twin non-verbal autistic children. After a small family getaway they stopped here for dinner. Anyone familiar with autism understands that crowded environments and long waits can easily overwhelm kids who experience the world differently. The waiting area was packed, and one of the children became overstimulated and began having a meltdown. Instead of showing patience or compassion, the manager, Patrick Fink, reportedly demanded that the family leave because the child was "bothering other customers." A family caring for two non-verbal autistic children tried to have dinner, and when one child became overwhelmed in a crowded waiting area, the response from management was essentially "leave." Families raising special-needs children already face enormous challenges just trying to participate in everyday life. Restaurants that serve the public should understand that not every child processes noise, crowds, or waiting the same way. A little empathy costs nothing. What makes this situation even more troubling is that when the family later contacted corporate to express their concerns, the situation reportedly escalated into a legal dispute. From what I understand, this has created the possibility of serious consequences for the father. He's the sole provider for a household that includes two non-verbal autistic children and a stay-at-home mother. The potential fallout of something that began with a child having a meltdown in a crowded waiting area could be devastating for that family. Businesses show their true character in how they treat people when situations are inconvenient. Compassion should not be optional, especially toward families already carrying an incredibly heavy load. There are plenty of restaurants where families with special-needs children are treated with patience and dignity. Based on what I've learned about this incident, this location does not appear to be one of them. read more

My first time here and their complimentary bread was to die for. The food was also great and the portions are huge. Never had a blooming onion and it blew my mind. I didn't know what to expect and it was beyond that. Exceptional service from the manager Patrick who checked in on my party since it was our first time. Jasmine, our waitress, explained the menu perfectly and made fantastic suggestions. Come hungry and you'll still get leftovers. Definitely get the sampler appetizers (I did that the second visit) and the loaded baked potato. The ribs are just right. PLUS the bread and butter is magical, they'll give you more to go. If you like margaritas in goblets, try them! The chili is also amazing - really makes a difference that things are fresh and made in house. I'd been craving the rolls from Texas Roadhouse for an eternity and spur of the moment, we decided to stop here for lunch on the way back from the SF Outlets. It was the Saturday before Christmas and I was surprised that we didn't have to wait long at all considering the place was pretty packed. It was as loud and raucous as I remembered but I was enjoying the vibe. It had been a very long time since my last visit and no more peanut shells on the floor but instead they provide you with a bag at each table and a bucket for shells. I'd rather have my own bag of peanuts honestly so I didn't mind this change. I was craving a steak and baked potato so that's exactly what I ordered with sauteed mushrooms on my steak and green salad on the side. My lunch dates tried the steak salad and the grilled pork chops. My steak was cooked perfectly, medium well (don't Judge me) and the potato came loaded just the way I like. Butter, bacon and cheese...delish! My son said his salad could have had more meat but it was otherwise good. My bf thoroughly enjoyed his pork chops and apple sauce and the rolls and cinnamon butter were perfection. The only downfall of this place is poor design.They won't let anybody in until they have all of their party together to be seated because there is no room in this place for people just to walk in relax have a few drinks and wait for their party we had to wait for over an hour half. This was my second time at Texas Roadhouse after having lived in Tracy for the past 1.5 years. The food itself is decent for the price because they serve outrageously generous portions. I came here with a few of my friends on a Friday night and it was packed as it always is (this seems to be THE spot for dining out on Friday nights in Tracy). Similar to the first time I came here, a few of their dishes and utensils given to us were still dirty and not properly cleaned. Nonetheless, we left quite full and with leftovers. We came in on a Friday around 4:30 PM and after a 10 minute wait, we were able to be seated. We started off with their $5 Long Island Iced Teas which were really good! You couldn't taste the bitterness at all and it just tasted like lemonade but you could feel the alcohol working its magic inside your body LOL. The complimentary bread and butter were so delicious! My friends weren't exaggerating when they said they come for the sole purpose of eating the bread. I loved the sweet, cinnamon butter that it came with, making it so unique. - Cactus Blossom (4.5/5) - $10: The portion size is huge and makes it a perfect appetizer to share with friends. Super crispy and yummy. - 16 oz. Fort Worth Ribeye (4/5) - $34: The ribeye wasn't too bad but I've had better. We asked for it to be cooked medium, but it seemed closer to medium well - well done. We got this with a side of fries and chili. The fries were okay but the chili was really good! I think the stars of our dinner were the Long Islands and the bread + butter. Our server was really nice and frequently came back to check how we were doing. The setting of the restaurant is exactly how you would imagine a 'Texas Roadhouse' sounding like. Longtime Customer Extremely Disappointed - Food Safety Concerns I rarely write negative reviews, but after tonight's experience I feel compelled to warn others. I've been a loyal customer since 2013 and have always enjoyed the food and service here, which makes these recent visits even more disappointing. Tonight's Issues (New Year's Eve): Both steaks were severely undercooked despite ordering medium. Even after microwaving mine for 2.5 minutes, it was still excessively rare and inedible. My son's fried fish was raw in the center and had to be thrown away. Missing condiments: no ranch dressing, no sour cream for baked potato and salad Caesar salad container was nearly empty Pattern of Problems (Last 3 Visits): This is the third consecutive disappointing experience. Previous issues included: Received 10oz steak when I paid for 16oz Received 14oz steak when I paid for 20oz Consistently missing items from orders Food Safety Concern: Undercooked steak and raw fish are serious food safety issues. I'm genuinely concerned about potential foodborne illness from the bites I took before realizing how undercooked the meat was. Bottom Line: After giving multiple chances and making several complaints, I've lost confidence in the quality and consistency of takeout orders. The only items that were acceptable tonight were the dinner rolls. It seems like dine-in customers receive better attention than pickup orders. I'm disappointed to say I won't be returning.
