10 out of 10 recommend this place was awesome! I stayed here for three nights and had a blast they had a pool and outdoor fire pit a restaurant close by and a golf course. There were multiple things to do nearby and in all it was a great vacation spot to stay. I love going on evening walks and hanging out with my friends on our personal balcony. We came this past weekend to celebrate my good friends wedding - the wedding was absolutely gorgeous and blew us away. Abby in the hotel bar was absolutely incredible! She made our experience fun and exciting and made the BEST espresso martinis. Cody at Cascada was very kind and knowledgeable. Joseph and Aaron were extremely accommodating to us. Update: the resort staff contacted us after reading my review (below) and offered us complimentary massages. We just received the massages and they were delightful. Thanks! ------ We planned an anniversary spa staycation for one night. Booked massages at the spa 4 days in advance. The morning of our stay, they called to let us know that they botched our massage reservation and couldn't accommodate us... even though they'd confirmed days before. Probably would've given them 4-stars for the rooms, food and facility, but our stay was planned around a spa day... and they did nothing to make up for their mistake. We stayed in the Pronghorn resort as a mid-way stop on our way to Lake Tahoe. After 10 hours in the car our family of four, was ready for some TLC! When we checked in, we were told that we had to wait for about 30 minutes because our room was not ready yet. Not great, but it was okay since we were ready for a snack and a drink anyway. We crashed in one of their restaurants and went back to the check-in desk about 45 minutes later. Our room was not quite ready yet - we had to wait another few minutes. We decided to just stay in the lobby since it would be only a few more minutes... 30 Minutes later we decided to ask again....then they told us it would be a bit longer....at that point we got a bit frustrated, as we were tired, wanted to take a shower and were looking to just take it easy in our room. We asked how much longer a few minutes was....than they told us it would be another....1 1/2 hours! Wait what?? They told us they had a few big weddings the day before and cleaning was behind...NOT our problem wow! Needless to say we were angry, frustrated and really dissatisfied. No apology was made...no compensation was offered...not even a drink... After 1 1/2 hour we checked in again...it would be soon! Just another 30 more minutes... This was when we lost it...We told them this was utterly unacceptable, we demanded a room within 10 minutes and wanted some form of an apology. We ended up getting an hundred dollar gift card for dinner in their restaurant. Too little, too late...we had to ask for it...BAD experience. We definitely NOT recommend staying here read more

This is an Absolutely Beautiful location that's why we picked it for our baby moon. We had planned to relax, eat yummy food and use the spa. We were shocked to learn there were only 2 restaurants which had terrible hours and you need reservations for everything. If you weren't a member or with the 200 group wedding party you weren't getting in... we would have to drive an hour round trip into bend or Redmond for food. We didn't even have a mini fridge in our room, we asked & it was a noooo... there was not even a vending machine. I'm 6 months pregnant & this felt more like a fasting resort. The A/C in the rooms were also lacking, the system is turned off during the day & nighttime it barley runs, it was hot & swampy with the smoke outside. So we enjoyed the scenery, but won't be back to starve & not sleep due to heat in the room. We paid to upgrade our room after the 1st night, at least we had a balcony door to open at night to let some Smokey air in. The first room you couldn't even open the window. Honestly disappointed. It's nice, but for the price, I've stayed at much nicer resorts. It's very remote which is good and bad- the local store is 30 minutes away. So if you forgot something and need to go to the local store you're boned. But the trees & atmosphere are peaceful. The rooms have no microwave. Spotty WiFi, no room upgrades. The restaurant staff was friendly but the food is spendy. If I ever stay in bend again, I will definitely be going to a different resort. read more

Beautiful resort, exquisitely maintained. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa. Kitchen, dining, great room downstairs with a covered outdoor patio complete with grill and fire pit. About 30 minutes from Bend. I would consider buying one of these units if it was closer to Seattle. I suspect this place is popular for folks from Portland. We visited in February so I can't comment on the golf course, pool, tennis courts. A few downsides only three dining options onsite only one was open for dinner and had no vegetarian entrees and nightly rate is pricy. Bumping down to four stars based on concerns with housekeeping. We arrived very late on a Thursday after getting stuck behind a semi accident. The housekeepers knocked on the door bright and early at 8am Friday. I asked them to come back between 10a-12p to give us enough time to eat breakfast and shower. Then they knock again at 9am. I put up the do not disturb sign and asked for more time. One day they failed to start the dishwasher. I noticed in the morning and ran it then. read more

Update: Ended up changing it from a 5 to a 4 after I Initially wrote this. We are currently sitting at the trailhead cafe attempting to have brunch. This is hands down some of the worst service we have ever received anywhere. The waitresses are completely clueless. After waiting 40 minutes for our food to come out we were informed there is no spinach or mushrooms for an omelet. It took 40 minutes to realize you're missing half the ingredients? Then the omelet was brought out before my food was ready so we had to ask they please bring the food out together since we didn't want to be sitting here with half our food waiting 20 more minutes for the rest of our food. The table next to us of about 6-8 ladies were having to request their food about 5 times each and it was coming out in 5 minute increments. Complete waste of our morning since we had hoped to eat quick and go out for a nice walk before checking out. Don't waste your morning or afternoon eating here. ----------------- My fiancé and I stayed for one night in a junior room for part of my 30th bday trip and had a fantastic stay. The staff was extremely nice and didn't bother us with silly resort rules like some places do. We were truly able to relax and enjoy our stay without feeling like there were a lot of other people on the property. We were able to take a sunset walk on the golf course with a glass of wine without anyone hassling us, it was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. We had dinner at the "fancier" restaurant and we were absolutely shocked at how good the food was. We were expecting pretty standard resort food, but were blown away. My fiancé got the burger, and he is a total burger snob. He was raving about it even after dinner. It was HUGE and you could tell it came right off the grill and came with a huge portion of perfectly cooked fries. I got the special which was pork and scallops, and was also blown away by how flavorful they were. Can't wait to come back and make it a longer stay next time! Absolutely beautiful resort, staff is super friendly and helpful. This is where you want to go to get away ( it is away) from everything. Peaceful properties, beautiful, large clean villas with all the amenities. Leave your computers at home, internet is spotty but that's OK if you are trying to shut off all the noise and just relax. Swimming pools, golf, bike rentals on site, spa services, ahhhhhhh..... I'm ready to go back! read more

I'm sure this is a lovely place to stay but their cancellation policy and customer service could sure use an upgrade; especially for a luxury resort. I booked a room here for our first anniversary. Three days later I realized my wife had made other plans out of state. I immediately contacted them via the reservation email on their website to ask if we could cancel the reservation. We were still 12 days out from the stay so I figured there would be a little leniency. After 7 days I hadn't heard anything back so I gave them a call. I was told that since I didn't cancel 30 days in advance (I only made the booking 15 days in advance!) that they would be keeping the entire $275 deposit. Nice. To their credit they did offer to rebook for another date or provide me with a pronghorn gift certificate. After the 7 day email radio silence and stubbornness to be somewhat lenient on the cancellation i'd prefer to spend my money elsewhere. read more

This entire place is magical! We loved our private house--it was clean and cozy! Perfect spot for a couples escape but also great for the entire family. Morning walk on the golf course was absolutely stunning. About 20-25 minutes from downtown Bend. We will definitely be returning to this remote and gorgeous spot. read more

My friend and I recently stayed at the Pronghorn Resort. We were really excited, it was our first vacation in ages, and we decided to splurge on an expensive resort. The Pronghorn promised a free breakfast each morning with coffee, this promise was re-iterated at check in. There was no breakfast, not once. Coffee was self serve. When we booked, we were promised a full bar at a 21 and over pool with a hot tub. The hit tub was broken and never fixed, the bar was rarely open, and children were at the pool each day. Only two restaurants were open, and one of them took two hours to deliver small, over priced portions of food. The other restaurant gave us food poisoning. We booked massages, and at the time of our trip I was suffering from an injured hip, walking was tough, but we walked over to the spa only to find out that our massages were to be given in a room that was quite literally next door to the room we were staying in... There was a huge event with live music that weekend and no one told us about it, we would have attended had we known. On the last day, the internet went down and never came back, and with poor cell service, it was very frustrating. We've called to try and speak to ANYONE about our experience and no one will call us back. I get that they're understaffed, but really...? We spent $440 a night on an experience that I'd expect from a Best Western, not a resort. read more

We stayed here following our wedding for a "mini-moon" getaway to recover. The front gate attendant welcomed us with a smile, Marc greeted us at the stairs of the clubhouse by name (which he remembered for the rest of our visit) and the head chef served up an amazing meal...all within an hour of arriving. We returned to our room to find cookies, roses, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and a hand written note congratulating us on our wedding. The grounds themselves were stunning, and this time of year mid-week we had the place to ourselves but service never waned. The massages are also to die for...90 minutes of bliss. The room was phenomenal as well. We stayed in a Junior King Suite and were very happy with every aspect. My wife and I will happily return for future anniversaries. read more

Due to Covid they do not offer daily housekeeping in hotel rooms, which is very frustrating because you have to ask for everything if your there for a few days. Getting fresh towels or getting your trash emptied takes hours. Getting a drink at the pool is a 30+ minute wait time, and sometimes the drink isn't right and you just don't say anything because you can't wait another hour for it. With the meals there is only one restaurant option and the food menu is the same daily. It becomes very repetitive and the wait takes a very long time. Some nights are busy and you need a reservation and take out/pick up is 30+ min at least. The food isn't fresh with take out, when I ordered I received fries that tasted like they sat out all day and my kids couldn't eat their chicken stops because they were so hard. The check in service is very nice but the host service at trailhead restaurant is a hit or miss. You can tell some guests get special treatment while others don't. There is a water slide at the shallow kids pool that scratches kids backs and rips at swim shorts. I would recommend this resort only if your here to golf, where the course is pristine. read more

My husband and I decided to spend our 39th wedding anniversary at Pronghorn Resort. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Mishayla at the front desk. Mishayla was very professional and as sweet as can be. Our deluxe king room was absolutely beautiful and the Pronghorn property was amazing! The resort sent up a complimentary bottle of champagne which made our trip very special. We ate breakfast at the Trailhead Grill. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was very fresh and delicious. We highly recommend Huntington Lodge at Pronghorn Resort! We can't wait to come back for another trip! We can't stop talking about what a great time we had, from the greeter at the front gate, to the housekeepers, the front desk and the spa staff, they were all wonderful! I am a very easy going person but this resort is over priced, staff are worthless at the front desk, and they have no clue what's going on in other areas. Rooms are tiny period! When I made reservation the resort made it seem like it was packed but that was not the case it is empty as I sit here checking out early because I really dislike this place very much! When I asked what the total bill would be checking out early they couldn't answer and said I'd have to wait till check out. Pool is nice though and the restaurant was nice also with excellent food and staff. I am disappointed in the golf course because the golf carts have gps and turn off if in unauthorized spaces you have no clue that are unauthorized like the parking lot with no signs to inform new guests of this function. It was a really irritating experience and I feel as if I threw hundreds of dollars in the trash in this difficult time. The course itself was awesome and I wished I walked instead of using there stupid golf carts that are so irritating! No review on spa at this time due to early check out. I'm not a person to write a review but I must save someone from the potential disappointments! read more

Not the best place for food. Very small portions for dinner menu and pretty tasteless. Prices keep going up and food quality goes down. We are locals and like to go at least once a week or more to Pronghorn and thought about becoming owners at the resort but are rethinking it since the standards seem to be lowering. read more

Stayed here in their condos with the family and had an awesome experience.It was in the winter so the course was still covered with snow but the jacuzzi was open and the views were amazing.Complete cheese plater was waiting for upon arrival , which was nice after a long flight.They had game system's for the kids to check out of the library and hook up in our condo so I they weren't driving us up a wall :) Three levels with two master suites and plenty of room's through out. Over all this place was great but my only one complaint it the secret bar in the guys bathroom !!! Us girls like to get drunk too :) read more

Stayed here just after the new year for a long weekend. We had a group and stayed in a 3 bedroom lodging that was really nice and during this time of year was a fantastic deal. Everything about the place was high quality except for one thing...the pillows...really crappy pillows, but I can overlook that as everything else was great. We took one of their provided shuttles up to the mountain for skiing/snowboarding, drove ourselves up one day for snowshoeing, and then relaxed at the huge and really nice room we were staying in the rest of the time. The hot tub was a little hard to find in the dark and cold at night but once found it was quite a cool little set up and nice and relaxing. Just a little ways outside of bend you get a nice secluded set up but not too far away from things either (though it's a bit further when the driving is slow in the snow and ice). I would totally get a group and go here again. The only other complain I had besides the flat, useless pillows on the beds (with no extras to be found either) was that when we were there we wanted to watch the interview and tried to buy it on demand on Comcast but I think North Korea was hacking us at the time and the thing wouldn't play...speaking seriously though, they have tons of channels and movies to borrow but they don't let you purchase movies or anything from on demand content (not something I normally care about but this time it happened to be annoying). Overall though, awesome place, hopefully they get some better pillows and I think really wanting to watch something from Comcast on demand is a rare occurrence so neither would stop me from going again! read more

Spa at Pronghorn Resort; what a wonderful treat! My husband and I had massages as part of a day long celebration. We chose the spa at Pronghorn as a result of the facilities offered. I prefer the opportunity to shower and redo my hair and makeup, and they have a lovely locker room outfitted with all the necessities. We were traveling to them via Redmond rather than Bend, and MapQuest lead us to a locked construction gate, just minutes from the resort entrance. Upon calling the spa they gave us reroute directions and told us not to worry, they would take care of us when we arrived (regardless of the fact we were now 20 minutes late). When they learned we were celebrating his birthday they offered (and we accepted) a glass of champagne after our treatments. We plan to return often (as we live in the area), and I highly recommend others take advantage of being pampered in their spectacular setting. read more

This place is fantastic ! The service is really bland from the reception, but the concierge mark ? He's great ! They have fire places in most rooms/suits. Jacuzzi suits, but the jacuzzi is SUPER small. Bathroom is awesomely huge, lots of rooms on the 18th hole. Great prices for what you get. And reaaaaallllllly not that far from town, maybe 20 min. This resort is above and beyond. The staff do what ever they can to make your stay the best. Dana is a a sweet gal that works there and left a birthday card and a tray of goodies in my room. The views are breath taking the room was more like a condo and so clean the bed was comfortable the fire place amazing and they welcome dogs. And they are sweet to them as well. The trail head restaurant was so good best steak I've ever had Hands down the only place I will stay at in eastern Oregon. read more

I'd prefer to give a 4.5 star rating simply because the walls in the Junior Suite are a bit thin, and we got to wake up to the sound of our neighbor's tv, followed by the sounds of housekeeping vacuuming and doing dishes and whatever else all before 8am (we are not early risers). Otherwise, the resort was great. We stayed 2 nights. We enjoyed having the fireplace, and the bathroom was plenty big enough, with 2 sinks, large tub and walk-in shower. Staff were very nice and helpful. Our server for breakfast at Cascada, Stacy, was quite possibly the nicest person we've ever met, let alone the nicest server. She even went outside on the patio to take pics of my wife and I in front of the beautiful scenery. The night concierge, Penelope, scoured the grounds for a corkscrew for me when I realized I forgot to bring one for our wine. Staff showed they really care about customer service. We had things to do in Bend so we only played 9 holes on the Nicklaus course, but it was awesome. Beautifully maintained and a fun challenge for us novice golfers. We didn't have to have a caddie, and my wife and I took our time since there were no golfers ahead or behind us. PRO: It's 20+min outside Bend so it's quiet, with pretty scenery and less busy golf course. CON: It's 20+min outside Bend, and we ended up going into town quite a few times for various restaurants and activities, which wasn't a big deal of a drive for us, but could be for others. All in all, a great place to stay. read more

We unfortunately will never stay here again. We spent a lot of money for a three bedroom unit and had a horrible stay. The first two nights the heater wasn't working and my family couldn't sleep. You cannot control the heat so you will be either freezing cold or sweating through your clothes throughput the night. They never fix the the problem after asking several times and gave no explanation to why the heating does this. It was over 90 degrees in our room but the thermostat was set at 69 and heat was still coming out! I've never stayed anywhere where the central air system didn't work especially somewhere that cost over 500.00 a night. Besides that issue beds were super uncomfortable when we checked in beds were not completely maid just a sheet on top of mattress with ripped holes in it. Then they want you to inquire about buying real estate. I would never buy real estate where I cannot have functioning heating system. read more

My fiance and I stayed at the Pronghorn in January for the 1st time and were thoroughly impressed. For starters, the staff made several special arrangements for my fiance's birthday that gave our whole trip a special, catered-to feel. We were made to feel as though we were the only people at the resort, providing a quaint yet romantic getaway. The unexpected highlight of the trip was the incredibly comfortable bed though the delicious, freshly baked cookies were a close second. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend it. read more

Such a disappointment. Prior to our stay, I was emailed some questions prior to our stay including a grocery list. I emailed back with the information requested and did not need anything from the grocery store. I had also emailed about transportation to Bresada to a wedding and I was told that there was a shuttle from Pronghorn that would easily take us to and from, so I requested that and got no reply. Our flight in was really delayed and we would be getting to your resort late so I called reception and the man who answered thanked me for letting him know. He said our room key would be at the front gate and that we would be shown to our room. When we arrived, the man at the gate was friendly and we filled out a cc authorization for and were given a map to our room. Which was almost pitch black so we got lost and drove around for a while which was not the best welcome. The room was comfy, however, I was confused as to why we were sent a grocery list prior to arrival when we had no stove or oven or any way to cook anything? Seems like we were sent that by someone who didn't know what room we were staying in. That morning we needed the shuttle to take us to Bresada, and I hadn't heard back via email so I tried calling the front desk, and the "guest services" button on the phone in our room didn't work so I couldn't reach anybody. Awesome. The whole time we were there we literally had no interaction with any staff. No one came or called to check in on us since we got in so late, there was no staff on the grounds, nothing. It was so weird. We went to the pool Sunday afternoon and saw what we thought was a pool food menu, but no servers for food or drinks. Plus there's a sign asking for no guests to bring in outside beverages. In our room there was no room service menu, no information about restaurants, nothing. It was like staying in a friend's guest house, not a "resort". In fact, I mention restaurants now but we honestly had no idea that there even were any there until I was emailed a survey after our visit and they were listed. We would have loved to have eaten on the property, but instead we went twice to Bresada Ranch for what we needed. Once to eat dinner at their restaurant, and once to shop at their general store for some snacks, bottles of wine, spf, etc. The morning of our departure, we wanted to inquire about a late check out. Of course "guest services" button didn't work, and by the grace of god tried pressing 9 on the phone to get out. That actually took me to reception, but there's no indicator on the phone that that is necessary. The man I spoke with was extremely rude and said that you were "very strict with check out times." Oh. So NOW they care about us. When we are wanted to leave!!!!!!! No help wth bags when leaving, nothing!! Such a disappointment with this "resort." I was contacted after submitting my survey online and I let the guest services woman, Sarah, know that with my work schedule, I can't talk on the phone during the day except at my lunch break. I can email though but she said she wanted to talk. I've called twice and emailed with no response. They don't care unfortunately. read more

The condo we stayed it was lovely, well appointed and clean. With that said, Early one morning I went down to book 3 massages for 3 people in our group. I was told that there was no therapist on-site and that they would call and get us time. I went back to my condo and waited, and waited. At 12:20 someone from the front desk called to say that she had not heard back from any of the therapists but thought it would be soon. At 1:30 I called the front desk and asked if she had heard from anyone. No. At 3:30 I called again, and no one had bothered to contact the resort. So we wasted an entire day waiting for some irresponsible therapist to do their job. The was the first weekend of spring break so you would think the resort would be fully functioning... No, the pool was closed and so was one of the main restaurants. Never again. read more

Stayed at the resort over New Years for a wedding. I had never heard of this resort nor had been to it before. I was pleased with checkin, I stayed in the junior suite but was unaware there are some suites with rooms above them, the walls are paper thin so kids running around upstairs or next door is easily heard. You also aren't allowed to park your vehicle in the driveway of the suite you're staying in which I found odd. I used the fitness center once, it was very crowded and very small, so I didn't go back. I do recommend longer hours for the hot tub. It closes at 10pm, I am a night owl so even 11 or midnight would be preferred. The place is very clean, room service knocked on my door at 9am- this startled me as I wasn't expecting visitors nor wasnt told they would be coming by, I asked them to come back later and they happily did. Lots of amenities in the rooms which is nice as well! A little over priced, I found a better deal through a third party. So make sure to research your booking before buying directly off their site, you're more likely to get a better discount! read more

Okay, this resort is in the middle of nowhere. There is very little as far as amenities. When we stayed in September of 2015, we had an okay experience. Not what you would expect from a resort, let alone an Auberge Resort. The staff was half paying attention to details, the "resort" was over run with weddings so much that the restaurants were always closed for private events. We were not expecting to have to drive 45 to bend for 3 meals a day. The resort did open the "Private Club" restaurant to accommodate guests , but the menu was exactly the same and the wedding parties ended up coming to the club anyways! Oh and the food, was not good. The first night the waiter was so out of it he was chatting at the bar tender, we didn't even know they had a kids menu until the next day! P.S. The resort's website says it is kid friendly but they mean teen friendly. We felt so un-welcome and out of place were ever we brought our toddler. In addition the room walls are paper thin. We stayed the weekend in hopes of making Pronghorn our vacation home, but the attention to details were lost...ie, partially eaten cookies in our room upon our arrival and bathroom sealant around the sink covered in brown crust that came up with a q-tip! My positive comments are the views and the bed was very comfortable. We won't be back. read more
