Everything went very well. I phoned Junk King and Armen came out to give me an estimate very quickly. I am putting my home on the market and have spent months purging 27 years of 'stuff' I had collected. Some items sat around for a while, like a broken treadmill. Other items I no longer want and are too large to donate, like an executive desk. There were also smaller items like kids toys, a bench press, electronics, etc. I had my sons put everything in the garage so hauling it would go quickly, and it took up about half the garage - a one car space. I felt the price Armen gave was very reasonable and he said they could be back in about 90 minutes. Armen returned with another person and removed everything I needed removed. It's not as easy as they made it look because he had to position things so everything would fit on the truck, but he got everything hauled that I wanted. They were here a bit over an hour, I think. They swept up the garage when they were done and he made sure everything was cleaned up before taking off. Armen is very professional and responsive and I highly recommend Junk King. It's great that you can call and he gets back to you right away and can even come out within hours to get the job done. NOTE: I looked into getting a dumpster from Waste Management but it's extremely expensive and you do all the work. They have a bag option, but no item can be taller than the bag, and if it rains, I don't think there's a cover for it. This is a much cheaper option, goes faster and you don't have an unsightly dumpster on your property. read more

He was extremely helpful, made himself very accessible (gave me his direct number to contact him), nice, professional and gave me a very fair and reasonable quote. Nicholas and Alex were the two guys who came this morning to do the hauling. They called about 30 minutes before arriving to make sure that I was aware they would be arriving soon, they were on time, super friendly and professional, did the hauling quickly and were careful not to mark up any walls. These guys arrived on time and within 20-30 minutes got everything on the truck and out of my garage. They even swept the entire garage floor and left it clean as a whistle. I spoke with Armen last night and he sent these guys out for an estimate because my contractor is taking down the ceiling dry wall on Sunday. But the guys said they could take what I had (which is 95% of the load), yet come back on Monday to grab the remaining ceiling dry wall. Great communication and professionalism! I received a phone call earlier in the day to confirm what items and the time they would be coming. I received a phone call when they were 30 minutes from my house. They were right on time and gave me a fair quote (similar to my basic quote I received on the phone, and a far cheaper quote than I received from other local companies on the phone). CHEAPER THEN AMAZON!! Amazon wanted me to PRE-PAY $103 for a queen mattress removal. Great on time service for reasonable price. They were having a promotion on the website were if you booked online they gave you $20 off. I was quoted $75-$95 for a old queen mattress removal (no box spring). Reserved the 8 am to 10 am time slot and they called 20 minutes before they showed just as advertised, and showed up in 20 minutes. Paid $80 for 14 inch queen mattress removal. 2 polite young guys took it out of my house and away. Very happy and will recommend. read more

These guys were amazing! Super friendly service from calling in and having someone come out to give me an estimate for a 3000 SF whole house cleanout. The estimate was spot on. I had a hefty couch that Salvation Army refused to take because it had small holes in it. A Google search led me to the Junk King website and learned that they have locations servicing the Chicagoland area. I checked them out in Yelp and saw a solid 5-star review. To say that Junk King gives exceptional service would be an understatement. The two guys who came to pick-up my couch arrived an hour earlier than my appointment window which worked out better for me. They called to give a 20-minute heads up before their arrival time. They gave me an upfront quote based on a pricing grid which they showed from a laminated Junk King form and they did not forget to ask if I booked the appointment online, for which they give you a discount. Considering that they had to haul my very large and heavy couch down the hall, from the sixth floor into the elevator, then down the length of the building garage, the whole service and transaction was over in 15 minutes. I have now used Junk King two times. Both times great. The first time I was not at the house but the second time on January 27th, there was a problem with the booking from the San Francisco customer service line.
