There is only one reason that they dd not get 5 stars; that is because they were over 2 hours late. While this would have been a 1 star review normally (2 hours late in unacceptable) there is a reason I gave them a 3-star/average;"A-OK" rating, Let me start by saying i WOULD use this service again. Once they arrived it was an awesome experience and I could almost not have been happier. The Pros: These guys were professional movers and wasted ZERO time. They took out three A/C units and a lot of boxes (a couple which were empty/shattered glass filled) and a lot of other trash within 23 minutes from arrival. They asked me every time they came cross something which they thought I may not want removed (HUGE plus for this...they aren't just removing junk; they are thinking about what I really want removed). Once the items were removed they even swept the floor to clean up random debris left. The Cons: There are two downsides here: - TIMING - They were over two hours late. As someone paying for a service, especially one I haven't used before, this is bull no matter what the situation is. In my case the situation was a "broken elevator at another location" which caused them to miss their appointment with me. Was this true? I trust people so I believe it was the case (15 mins due to an elevator issue I may have questioned, but 2 hours seems like a real issue and I will trust them on this). The POSITIVE here is that the distributor (as I think of him) called me three times during the lag to let me know what was going on. This was a HUGE positive for them. I felt like, mostly, I knew what was going on and appreciated being kept in the loop. Stuff happens...keeping the customer in the loop is key to maintaining a positive relationship. - PRICING - I was never quoted a price over the phone. This was OK because I saw pricing statement online from other reviewers and was going to be OK. I had. However I was surprised to pay out $150 for what was 1/4 of a truck when most reviews priced a FULL truck between $180-$300. I paid it because the guys did a great job and I wanted this junk to be gone, but I feel like I may have been overcharged for what I got. I would like for Junk911 to either put estimates on their site (especially if they are based on truck volume; you can do this) or always provide estimates when you call. - SUMMARY - If i have to I will use these guys again, but I will be more aggressive about getting pricing estimates up-front. A lot of people have commented that they have been on-time so I am pretty sure that my experience was an anomaly. Once the guys were here their work and speed was really amazing...While I only give 3 YELP stars, I think this company really is amazing; if my next experience is better I would love to give them a higher score. read more

I had some really decent furniture that I could not take to my new apartment because I just didn't have room for it. The salvation Army refused to take them even though they were only missing 1 or 2 nails; they claimed the items had to have every nail, screw and bolt in place or else they can't take them. I'm really paranoid about putting things out onto Craigslist so after some Yelping, I decided to call Junk Removal 911 instead. They donate usable items and recycle the rest, which was great. They were able to schedule me the very next day. The guys arrived 30 min ahead of schedule, which I thought was a plus for me. They removed all my furniture and appliances within 15 minutes. Really quick and really courteous - they were extremely mindful of not slamming into the doors and walls. I didn't require any sweeping up afterwards so I cannot comment on that. I cannot more highly recommend this company. I requested a quote, and their price came in well under other companies. But, you wouldn't know it based on their service which was top notch. They were on time, early even, and were in and out in less than 1/2 hour. In that time, they disposed of my entire queen sized bedroom suite of furniture, a large couch, and a China cabinet. No walls were touched, the floor wasn't scuffed, there was no cleanup, and they will even donate the furniture that is in better condition. With a 5 star rating and a very clean and professional website, I recommended that my husband call them. They scheduled us immediately and gave us an approximate cost estimate based on truck load. They came out a day later and were punctual and super friendly. They called my husband about 10 minutes before they arrived, which was great. We had a garage with over 30 contractor bags as well as a big pile of loose construction debris. Two guys got right to work and finished in 30 minutes! Yelp reviews were certainly correct on this business. I contacted them on a Sunday afternoon & within 5 minutes Max the Owner contacted me with a quote. I asked when he could do the job & reply was for the next day in the afternoon. On Monday @ 9:30 I received a call stating drivers had finished a job early & wanted to know if they could come over. It took Shaq & Patrick about 1/2 hour. Two of the bureaus were extremely heavy, 250 & 150 lbs, & I live on the 2nd floor with wobbly outside stairs. Bedroom set was still in good condition & I asked what they would do with it. They stated they would donate it. How nice. I was so pleased that I gave them a 2lb box of chocolate. I'm in the process of clearing-out a house and needed ALOT of junk to be hauled-away. I called both 800-Got-Junk and Junk Removal 911 and almost went with the 800 people because their quoted rate was cheaper than the 911 people... until I started talking about the various items that needed to be hauled and learned about their additional fees that pushed them about $200 more per truck than the 911 people. The 911 people have a simple flat-fee to haul anything away- including paint, stain, mattresses, stoves, and refrigerators. With six days in advance I was able to schedule a truck on the day and time of my choice. Two days before the pick-up date I realized that I needed another truck, called 911, and had no problem getting another on the same day/time. On the scheduled day, a cheerful crew (I think they really like what they do) of four guys showed-up on-time, asked questions about what's staying and what's going, and got to work. Although most of the outgoing stuff was in various piles, they we're fine with going through cabinets and shelves to pick-up odds and ends. They brought-in their own plastic garbage cans to consolidate small items so they can be hauled in as few trips as possible. They even pulled-up the carpeting and underlying padding from the various rooms for me! Towards the end of the work, they realized that another truck was needed, asked me if I wanted to schedule another pick-up (which I said yes), and they made arrangements to have another truck come by the next day early in the morning. These guys rocked. They busted their asses getting the junk into their trucks and sorted to maximize the space used. I'd definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone that needs junk to be hauled-away. read more
