After calling another junk removal company and getting a quote that varied absurdly from the estimate provided over the phone, participating in some sketchy negotiations where I felt the guys were just pulling numbers out of there you know what, and then finally accepting a quote only for them to try to move the appointment I scheduled almost a week earlier, I was hesitant of the legitimacy of any other 5 star rated junk removal companies I found on Yelp. But I decided to give Junk Removal 911 a call as I was under no obligation to accept their quote if it also turned out to be absurd. Thank goodness I called! The quote was the same I was given over the phone. The job, which the other company said would require one and a half of their 16 feet trucks, Junk Removal 911 accomplished with just one 10 ft truck. And the total paid was half what I was quoted by the other company. The employees worked hard and fast. They were simply incredible. Use these guys! The five star rating is totally legitimate. Not sure if the other company I had considered using first was having an off day, but I personally did not have the five star experience their Yelp rating suggested I would have. Great service! I requested a quote for some junk that was left in our new house as well as some general junk leftover from a reno project. I received a few quotes and I thought 911 was in line, if not slightly lower, than other quotes I received. I ultimately decided to go with them based on the number of positive reviews they have. The guys were on time - actually early which worked perfect for me. They were pleasant and courteous, they worked quickly, and even swept my driveway before leaving. I actually had less junk than I thought (I really didn't have a good sense of the size of their truck so I estimated high) and so my final price was lower than quoted which was awesome. Happy with the service and I would use them again. P.S. I was unsure about whether and how much to tip. I did some online research which wasn't super instructive. The general consensus was, if you are happy with the service then you should tip. Based on the amount of junk I had and the time spent (about 10 minutes), I tipped each guy $10. If I had half a truck or more/heavier items, I would have tipped each $20. A full truck, maybe more. That's just my opinion, but gives you an idea of what others are doing. read more

I can only describe the service I received as exceptional. I emailed a request for quote after one of the franchise services failed to show up for an appointment. I quickly got quoted a rate that was much lower (60% less) straight from the owner. The appointment went smoothly, wonderful employees who arrived on time with appropriate notice, and I paid even less than I was quoted. This is the first time I have used a service like this. My business partner and I just purchased an investment property and needed to remove some of the items left over from the previous owner and the rehab. This included but was not limited to an antique refrigerator, dryer, stove, and even a PIANO!!! Jon (no h) and Shaq were the guys who did the hauling and they moved SUPER fast. Great work. The team called a half hour before, arrived on time, were courteous, friendly and efficient. They had to bring an old broken elliptical down 3 flights of tight-turn stairs, but they were done in about 20 mins.
