    Fried noodles with shrimp

Absolutely lovely little place in a strip mall. Typical Asian style decor and interior. Plenty of parking since it's in a strip mall. Super friendly staff. Amazed that they had a decent list of mixed drinks with a decent selection of bourbons and eyes. Also had several different beers. Eclectic menu with a wide range of Asian styles. The roll was surprisingly tasty. First time with the fried rice noodles and they were delicious. Definitely a great place to eat.

Place was nice! Server had fantastic rapport & banter! Stayed on top of everything. We ordered Boombastic & Kiss on my list! Both quite flavorful, great portion sizes, quite filling! Ordered some blue alcoholic drink, can't remember what it was called, it was alright & a little smaller than I expected but definitely not a deal breaker

I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in the door. The staff was wonderful. I meet the chef explained what I liked and he made me the most amazing dinner. I can't say enough wonderful things about the restaurant. I highly recommend it. It's great for date night, business meeting or a family dinner.

I've been to this place before because my coworkers rave about going when I visit the home office. This time I stopped in on my own because I had been craving sushi for about a week. I have a sesame allergy and every time I come I let them know and they take it very serious. I appreciate them taking it serious because Ive been to sushi restaurants elsewhere and they take the note but then I'll have sesame on my food when it's brought to me . My waitresses name was Miss Josephine, probably one of the sweetest ladies you'll ever meet, very attentive and a smile that'll light up the dimly lit room! We all sat in 1 particular part of the restaurant but no one was disturbed by the other, that was nice since I was dining along. I particularly enjoyed the couple next to me conversation because they were conversing with the chef! It was amazing to watch the chef come by and interact with them and even them saying thank you chef from across the room. You could tell they enjoy the place often and the people who work there enjoy them coming. I would definitely recommend!

We recently moved and have been on the hunt for our new favorite place for sushi; last night we finally found it. We were greeted immediately upon entering, the restaurant smelled and looked very clean. The hostess was friendly and seated us right away at a table with plenty of room-something we appreciated because we have a 10 month old daughter and lots of things. Our server, Steven, greeted us with a smile right away. We received excellent service. He brought us everything we could need and offered us sauce with our sushi- he left nothing for us to ask for! He was very kind and understanding of our little one making a mess, we never felt like a burden-of course we tipped a little extra for the inconvenience. The food was incredible, everything was so fresh and came out fast. The side salad was crisp, plenty of ginger dressing. We tried the jalapeño poppers (our favorite out of everything), the salmon and cream cheese roll (absolutely incredible), the spicy tuna roll and the dynamite roll. I also got a side of plain fried rice for our little one. Everything was outstanding tasting. The spicy tuna roll and dynamite roll did have pretty large pieces though, I will try to remember to ask for smaller pieces next time. The dynamite didn't end up being our favorite roll, it has 4 types of fish and we didn't like the different textures together, but it was still fresh-just not my cup of tea personally. The fried rice was delicious as well, it smelled so good I had to have a couple bites myself! Everything was reasonably priced, couldn't have asked for a better experience-which I really needed being a new stay at home mom. We definitely will be back soon.

This is our new favorite spot! We love the sushi options here. Service is friendly and there are so many options on the menu. My husband and I shared three rolls and we had left overs. This is one of our new favorite spots and can't wait to come back and try other sushi and entrees.

Run of the mill hibachi and sushi joint. Didn't leave with an overwhelming need to return. The lunch hibachi meal was so-so and I'm glad I didn't order it, but my sushi choices were not good. Small pieces and the fried one was just plain "ick". The menu didn't have pictures so I felt like I was blindly ordering a bit and clearly that wasn't in my favor. Never met a sushi roll I didn't like...until I did. The reviews were good so we tried given its close to us but we won't be back.

The miso soup & salad was a nice start to the main course!

Overall this hibachi style Japanese style restaurant was really good! The food came out quickly and all tasted great. The staff was friendly and on top of it all. And the prices were pretty reasonable for how much you get too. I started off with some yummy green vegetable gyoza which were good and came with dipping sauce! For my main course I ordered the scallop hibachi dinner. It was very filling and had plenty left over to take home. To start with they bring you a tasty salad and soup, both were really good! Then the main plate was seared scallops, mixed grilled veggies and a big pile of fried rice. Also came with yum yum sauce. All of it tasted great and there was enough for 2 ppl to be honest. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. Great place for a date night too! Overall everything was wonderful. The only surprise was that they don't do all the fun cooking stuff in front of you like other hibachi places I've been to in the past. But tastes great and would go again when I crave this food!

Sushi establishment tucked away in a Shopping center in hillview off of Preston Highway before you hit the bullitt county borderline. Very nice and elegant place with very nice decor and has dim lite rooms that really set an intimate mood. The menu here is massive. Over 10 pages long. It's fun as well, as the sushi rolls are named after popular 70s and 80s hit songs. We started off with the calamari appetizer and it was very tasty. They were very large individual pieces and had very good substance to them. We got 4 sushi rolls. We got the "easy on me", California roll, crunch Munch and "Mike's roll". All had very good substance to them. I'm not a big sushi person and I'm a very picky eater so I'm trying new things. I liked the crunch munch and the "easy on me" a whole lot. Both had very good flavor. The other two I wasn't a fan of but my wife and oldest loved them all. Me and my oldest favorite was the "easy on me" and my wife favorite was the "mikes roll". My second youngest daughter got a kids chicken nuggets with rice and she appeared to like it. My wife got chicken fried rice and said it was "good but not on par like the calamari or sushi". Said it needed some type of sauce. My oldest got a spicy miso ramen. She said it was very good and was satisfied. Overall we had a great visit here. Pricing here isn't too outrageous. Sushi places are always pricey but we got 3 entrees, an app and 4 sushi rolls for just under $100. So not too crazy. I would come back. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. So I'm branching out with my taste buds and In This situation it paid off. Very nice and tasty place. Would highly recommend.

This place does have potential. Our server was great. The highlights for me are the Juno edamame & Steak Tataki appetizers. The sauce with the spinach in the Tataki is delicious. Overall This just isn't my favorite choice for hibachi.

First thing I must said definitely a vibe to this place, the music (we kept wondering if this was someone's personal playlist or a station). 2. The name of the sushi rolls are some hits! 3. The decor was on point not what we expected from the outside. Came here per a family member's request to celebrate their milestone of getting older. There was 9 of us (I was told a reservation was made but not 100% on this) & we were able to get a table when 6 of got there. At the time, the place was slightly busy. But after sitting there waiting for our other party members. During this time our server Jessica got our drink order I got a water & small peach sake and my beau got a Kirin Icha water as well. Once our other members arrived she got there's too as she was serving ours. It took a few to get our food order in due to the fact they were getting busier. But Jessica got our orders taken in one swoop around the table. We just chilled with the music waiting for our food, some members at our table got their soups & salads, a few minutes later. But after awhile pass, we notice other tables that sat down after us have gotten their food. We didn't know if that because almost all of us order sushi and a entree or if they were waiting to serve us all at once. Slowly they started bringing out some of our food but not all together. At this point I can hear the hostess say there is a 45 mins wait (we were seated next to the one & only entrance/exit door and at this point it was packed) finally we got my 3 sushi rolls but not our beef fried rice. The rest of group some got their food but they were waiting on the rest. It seemed to take a while to get the rest of our table food. The food was good, the sushi rolls we got was My Boo, a California roll and Penny Lane. Personally the My Boo was little sweet and the Penny lane was the best but the size of the pieces were quite large to chew in one bite. The beef fried rice was okay. Idk if we will try again but it's wasn't a bad experience, our server Jessica was on her game got kept our drinks filled and got us anything extra we asked for. Ps... they do automatically add a 15% gratuity amount on the bill, our table each couple paid separately and amounts were different and based on bill amount.

Still so glad to see this restaurant in this end of town! Stopped in for a quick and delicious lunch.

I must say... Not bad.. Not bad at all... Now I'm not much of a sushi guy, so I'm not sure how fair my review would be. With that said.. I will say the steak, rice and veggies I ordered was Simple yet Delicious!.. It wasn't nothing to go crazy about, but it was good enough that I'll revisit another day. I did read a review complaining about the service.... And I must agree to a point.. the service was kinda scattered, But it didn't feel intentional,.... There was 3 of us and they did bring each one of our plates out at different times, which I thought was odd.. But it wasn't that big of a deal.. they were still very nice and professional. To sum it up.. It's worth a try!

Usually i would 100% recommend eating here. We got it togo, make sure you check your sushi toppings.

Both were very fresh and delicious. My entree was the Kiwami Shiro (pork broth, scallion, mushroom, bamboo, egg, pulled pork, sliced pork, noodles). The broth was incredible and pulled the whole thing together. I definitely want to come here again and try more items off the menu.

Kiwami comes pretty close to meeting my criteria. Quality: yes. 100%. Excellent ingredients, tasteful decor, sturdy serving bowls, whimsical ladles for slurping broth. Weird that the chopsticks are disposable while other utensils are not. Variety: erm. Yes for people who are not plant-based. I would love to see additional vegan options in all entree categories (tofu poke bowl, please). The veggie ramen was fabulous as was the edamame. Just more. Taste: A+. The broth was complex and glorious, the kale noodles lovely, the toppings (brussels spouts, broccoli, tofu, avocado) all prepared and seasoned perfectly. Temperature: yes. Nice and hot. Perfect. Texture: noodles were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of chew, however toppings were all pretty homogenous in texture. The raw greens on top were a little strange. It would have been nice to have a crispy or crunchy element. Value: I mean, Kiwami is a ramen place on Bardstown Road. I didn't expect a deal. I paid $20 for a bowl of ramen plus tip. Not ridiculous, but also not a price that allows me to visit as often as I would like. Overall, Kiwami has earned my respect and likely repeat business, especially if they add more vegan options and offer a repeat customer discount.

I think my cocktail was called the Tokyo Pop? Not positive but you have to get it. Gin, bubbles, sake, and a hint of lemon in a flute glass. Refreshing, a hint of sweet, a hint of lemon, and extremely drinkable. It would be too easy to throw a ton of these back. But I was demure and had one. I enjoyed the calamari--my go-to here. Crispy, with a bit of heat from pickled peppers, a bit a of sweet form a sweet glaze, and a nice herby zing from mint, herbs, and scallions. They also top the calamari with a a nice portion of greens dressed in a lemon vinaigrette, making this appetizer feel close to a light meal. I am absolutely obsessed with the ponzu mayo that comes on the side. An absolutely delightful touch. I also enjoyed the chocolate cream pot. Talk about decadent. I love that it is served with berries, because you need that tartness to balance out the richness. Fully indulgent. Bonus points: I working fireplace. (And holiday decor still up--this never bothers me.) The ambiance is always lovely, with something iconic on the TV always playing.
