Ordered pizza, wings and fries to go tonight, the wings were super dry and cold. I live less than a mile away. I called and they made me another order of wings and fries....again they were dry and cold. They are definitely pre-making the wings and fries before people are even ordering them. I use to love this place but the last 5 times I've went it's so hit and miss it's embarrassing. It's not hard to be consistent. Recruit some quality employees and manage them a little bit better and this place has potential. Other than that it's hard for me to go back when it's so hit or miss. We ordered an XL Pepperoni, L Combo and L Garlic Fries. Both pizzas came as Large and the fries came without garlic. We called to have the order fixed and when we went back to pick it up Jura cussed out his employee in front of us and yelled at us that he does not do XL (even though it's on the menu) and if we want XL we need to order two Larges. All of the pizza establishments that I've been to in the LA area, the Bay area, or in the central valley, do not come close to how amazing Jura's pizza Parlor is. That's why i keep coming back. The tomato sauce, cracker-like bottom crust, and major amounts of cheese and toppings they put in the pizza makes it all so great. They also have great wings and fries. I usually congregate here with my cousins when I come to town, but due to the pandemic occurring, I had to make a takeout order. The pizza, wings, and fried were still perfect. And that's what I enjoy about this place, the food has always been consistently good. (Glad they moved out of there) Ordered a pepperoni pizza, hot wings and garlic fries. Overall the food was so good!!! We so loved Juras about 17 years ago the food was the bomb. Now we happened to drive through Turlock and stoped at Juras ordered pizza and wings and was very disappointed the taste wasn't he same, so sad. The wings was just okay. On top of it being incorrect, they have never apologized. Pizza has went downhill, as have the wings. Food is bland and tastes like it was frozen. We tried to order again today and they said they are running an hour behind!! Left and came back, pizza still not ready. Come back a third time to pick up and guess what.... WRONG order AGAIN. My family and I have been going to Juras for years. The last two experiences were horrible. I'm not sure if there has been changes in staff or what the issue is. We ordered pizzas, and I can honestly say it was the worst pizza I have ever eaten. The crust was horrible the toppings were scarce and only in the very middle of the pizza, so little sauce it was very dry. I don't normally leave reviews but I called Juras, twice, not to request a refund but to let them know my experience . Ordered a bunch of wings for some co-workers and myself. They were large pieces of chicken, which is nice. The hot wasnt very spicy at all, and I wish there had been a hotter choice. Sauce is vinegar based, and doesnt cling to the wings very well. Luckily we ordered extra sauce, because the way they came wasnt very saucy at all. Overall they were decent wings, but werent great. How people can eat inside the restaurant is beyond me. It smells like an old mildew building. Carpet needs to be ripped out and revamped. No idea why they have a downstairs or need all that room for that matter. I hope the new location really cleans up their act because the smell of Asbestos isn't pleasant. Jura's is my favorite pizza in Turlock. Based on the other reviews, my suspicions were confirmed that you either love it or hate it. They have amazing wings and their pizza is my favorite - cheesy, spicy pepperoni, light sauce and crispy bottom. And yeah, sometimes their service is slow and their prices are a little high, but generally everyone is friendly and in my opinion the food is great. On our first couple of attempts, we called in to make to-go orders and were kept on hold so long we decided to go elsewhere. On the third attempt, we went there and ordered wings and jalapeño poppers. Both of these were decent. The fourth time, we ordered pizza and jalapeño poppers. The pizza was completely disgusting. You'd be better off getting a frozen pizza from the grocery store than eating their pizza. Additionally, the pizza dough had a sweet smell to it. Not exactly what you'd expect when having pizza. As many other reviews have mentioned, the wings are probably the best thing on their menu. As for the restaurant itself, that's another concerning thing. It's not kept up well. This is my favorite place for pizza and wings - No one else comes close. The wings are always crispy and the hot sauce is delicious.
