What a cute little place. I wish I could give this 3 and a half stars but yelp doesn't let me. The service was friendly but keep in mind you just go up to a counter and order and eat at community tables. They also have a fixings bar where you can add onions and pickled veggies and other condiments to your fare. I ordered the el pastor taco and we all shared some chips and queso. My friends got the steak tacos , shrimp taco, steak nachos, steak burrito, and tortilla chips. The el pastor taco and the shrimp taco were absolutely fantastic. Flavorful with profiles that worked incredibly well together. The steak tacos and burrito got a thumbs up from everyone. They said they were good but not as strong as the shrimp and pork were. The gal who got the nachos said hers were just ok. I thought the chips were way way way too salty so I bet that might have affected her meal. The queso was decent but nothing memorable. The tacos were about $6 a piece and I think most of the other menu items were between $9-12. Pretty reasonable for what you get. I came in and got three tacos: two steak and one chicken. It was really great! It filled me enough and with the add-ons like cilantro & onion, onion, cabbage, cucumber, and the sauces. I'm not one for really hot stuff, so their medium was good for me. They had like a chipotle sauce that was the most flavorful on chicken! They are generous with their meat, my only complaint is the Al pastor tacos had pineapple but it wasn't as sweet as I wanted but I appreciate there being pineapple in it. My husband and I tried this place for the first time. We ordered 2 street tacos. 1 with the steak and the other with the chorizo. We enjoyed both especially the steak. The steak was so flavorful. We also ordered the raptor taco with steak which was delicious. We ordered the burrosaurio as well and it was also delicious. We tried the horchata and loved it. Very good and hearty meal. My mom and I ended up sharing the traditional asada fry burrito. I couldn't have eaten more than the half. It came with chips but no salsa which was odd to me. Their toppings bar was definitely targeted towards their tacos, but we opened up our burrito and added the cilantro and onion and cilantro ranch and mild salsa to it. They were pretty good, but the fish taco was a little pricey for what it was. I wanted to try the shrimp taco as well but I could not justify another $7-$8 on it for this particular trip. I will not go back. I used to eat at Jurassic regularly. They changed their menu and removed the option for premium meats. The carne asada is now just a cheap roast cubed up and seared. The one thing I love about JT is they serve chiles toreados on their salsa bar. The thing that turned me away forever is they no longer greet you and take your order. You have to walk up and use a machine to order. Then they have the audacity to ask for a tip, starting at 20%. All this says to me is, "Give me your damn money and get out of here!"
