So simple, yet so good, as tacos should be! Their food here is very straight forward - Mexican and tasty, no extra bells and whistles. I bought about 10 tacos on Tuesday, since they have a Taco Tuesday deal. Some meats don't apply to the deal, like tripe, but that's okay. It was worth the few extra bucks. For tacos, I got asada, pollo, cabeza, tripe, al pastor, and lengua. Their service is good, quick enough, and the works are kind. I will say, there might be a slight language barrier (Spanish vs. English) but nothing to worry about. This location is quite big, lots of tables! Inside of this location, there is also a dessert/drink spot. I love the protein options they have here. I sometimes just order by the pound with their Spanish red rice and call it a good night! They also have a salsa bar with all the toppings you can want on a taco. I'll always be returning to Don Joaquin!

The menu is long enough that choosing something different next time will be a genuine challenge. Omelettes, chilaquiles, brioches, and other specialties give you plenty of reasons to return.
