Delicious food, fresh and especially love the mahi mahi taco. Clean and friendly service.

Tried the carne asada fries & the ketosaurous . The meat, sauce, and topping were. Carne asada meat a little bit on the dry side here, but the flavor is on point. Service is great! The ladies at the counter and in the kitchen were super nice. The ambiance is relaxed and a comfortable and inviting dining experience. Ordering takeout at the counter is also a quick and simple process,

The tacos were okay, not the best. Definitely Americanized Mexican food. The salsa bar had good toppings, but the salsa was so thin it was basically vinegar sauce. The menu is also pretty confusing. It was $32 for 2 combos. We wouldn't be back but we're glad we tried it.

One of the best places Utah has to offer. Really good and fresh ingredients. Every topping compliments each other on the tacos. I have waited a long time for this location to open. I'm so glad they have finally come to Salt Lake County. I can't wait to try the whole menu.

I stopped in on a week night and was fairly impressed with the quality of food. I had a raptor taco and asada fries. The tacos had a decent flavor and well made and cooked well. The sauces were really good, and made for a great pairing with my meal. The tacos were decent overall and a pretty good option in the valley The service was friendly and the meal came out very quickly. The restaurant was themed with dinosaurs and welcoming. I would definitely visit again, and would be happy to try more on the menu.

This is one of the most adorable new taco places around town. The food only took about 15 minutes to be ready after ordering. The meat was juicy, the pineapple on the Dino fries was delicious, and the Dino decor was fun with out being tacky. My only suggestions is to take into consideration that the shop isn't very big so if you have a large group it won't be an easy fit (10+people). The raptor taco only had a slim slice of Anaheim pepper. It would have been nice if it had a few more slices.

The food is just plain nasty & expensive. Went here for the first time and it'll be the last. Ordered 2 of their combo #1's which came out to around $40. The Al pastor didn't have much flavor & the carne asada wasn't even Carne asada. It was just steak cut into HUGE pieces and hard to swallow. The chips were stale and salsa had no flavor. Won't be going back here again.

Love their food I got here like once a week. Everyone I bring here also likes it. Service is good and so is the atmosphere.

Prices a bit steep, but tacos and the sauces are good. The carne asada meat was a little fatty, but still had good flavor.

Wow, excellent service. The guy came out to my window after I left, he noticed that I didn't get any salsa. I mentioned that I had never been to the restaurant before, I think he wanted to make sure I got salsa if I wanted some. That saved me the frustration of getting home to find that I didn't have what I needed. Another thing that was nice that they did was ask how far I was going, I got it to go. He realized that the tortillas would get soggy, so he put them on the side. I love a new restaurant because they do everything they can to make the experience the very best. I hope that they continue to think of themselves as a new restaurant 50 years from now. If they do, this will be an incredibly successful restaurant. I wish you and your staff the very best

The Al pastor meat was good but a little on the sweet side. We loved the spicy red salsa. The Alambre meat was good but the pineapple tasted over ripe. Also the lengua was not super fresh almost tasted boiled. The burrito shells were good but nothing really stood out to me.

Unfortunately, this visit was very different. We were seated quickly and given menus, but then no one came to greet us or take care of us. We watched several other tables get seated and receive chips and salsa while we continued waiting. The restaurant was somewhat busy, so at first we assumed they were just behind. After waiting quite a while, I finally got up and spoke with one of the managers at the front. He immediately apologized and sent someone over to our table, who was also very apologetic. We ordered two tamales as an appetizer--which were amazing and definitely lived up to what they are known for--and shared the enchiladas since they come with four. Our first server brought the tamales and then told us that Nadia would be taking over our table. However, we never saw Nadia. Eventually, the other server brought our enchiladas, which were also very good. Unfortunately, after that, no one came back to check on us for the remainder of the meal. I had ordered water with ice, which had completely melted, and honestly wished I had ordered something else because there was never an opportunity to ask. At that point, it felt like we had once again been forgotten. A different manager eventually came over and apologized again. He offered to pay for our dinner, which was an incredibly generous gesture and very much appreciated. The whole situation was a little awkward because we could see staff at the front discussing the situation and looking over at our table, but then no one actually came back to check on us. When we were ready to leave, I finally got up and asked if there was anything we needed to do before leaving. Thankfully, the manager confirmed everything had been taken care of. I really have to give credit to the restaurant managers for recognizing the situation and doing their best to make it right. We have eaten here several times before and the food has consistently been excellent, especially the tamales. Because of our previous experiences and the way management handled this situation, we will definitely be back. Hopefully, this was just an unfortunate one-off experience because La Casa del Tamal truly has amazing food.
