Usually, I am content with the items I buy at Jusgo. NOT today! Went by for flank steak to make a nourishing soup for someone in recovery. The ginger and other fruit were fine. When I asked an employee in the produce department where a scale was, he said, "No." I said that there HAD to be one as I needed a certain amount of white radish. He just stared back at me. The other employee next to him pointed to the far corner. Now, the "flank steak." As you can see from the picture, OVER half of the steak (blanched) is fat and membrane! It only comes packaged. I thought it had a thin membrane covering it, which would have been acceptable if it was over a long piece of steak. Didn't have time to go back. I arrived home at 6:30p and had to use it because the soup cooks for four hours and was being delivered tomorrow morning. (I hope that one star anise does not overpower the broth!) I should have had them unwrap it before purchase. Once, I bought a doong/joong/zongzi there that I unwrapped a few days later. It was moldy. When I returned it, no apology. Should have learned then to be aware. I will say that the cashier was friendly and smiled when she handed me the receipt. read more

Located alongside Ranch 99 and Big Lots on Highway 6. Supposedly Ranch 99 has been temporarily closed due to a HSE issue for a few months so we went over here next door to get some Asian veggies. The interior is extremely chaotic and messy; it is quite a large space but there are packing boxes everywhere and quite a few of the individually packaged items don't even have a price or sticker on them. Prices seem in line or cheaper than our local spots for a few items but in terms of organization and cleanliness, it doesn't seem to be the best. The seafood section here has quite a strong odor which is reminiscent of the early 2000's Asian grocery stores and there's a general dusty smell throughout. Overall, there's plenty of household items and fresh groceries here but you are missing all of the finer details as you would expect at a newer H Mart or Ranch. read more

Me and my 5 kids love to go to Jusgo Supermarket when we are starving, we love to go to the supermarket to shop for amazing Asian things, we love Asian food so much and their workers are so nice. We also love shopping for vegetables. My 23 year old son, Jonathon loves the cabbage!! This is the closest Jusgo to me than the one on Bellaire. I was on Hwy 6 in Manvel and this was a straightshoot within 51 minutes of drivetime. It is next door to 99 Ranch and whatever I couldn't get there, I surely found here (thankfully). I was looking for mint, Asian cucumbers (long ones and the ones I used to grow in my garden), eggplant, white yams, other greens, even spotted perilla and a wide variety of bok choy. The melon and jackfruit were overripe and I could smell them. The selection of tofu and tofu byproducts was vast but too expensive. $3.99 for tofu that I can get way cheaper at any non-Asian grocery like Kroger's, Walmart, or HEB; it costs me $1.99. Or I could just buy it in bulk at Costco. Even the San San Tofu tofu looked to be sitting in lukewarm tainted water for days or weeks, it wasn't chilled. Also, the amount of shipments and boxes that litter the aisles is more of a hazard and a liability since they block products on the shelves. I almost tripped looking at the green onions because of an empty box aimlessly lying in front of the area. The aisles towards the middle section of the store are as narrow as ever with more boxes in the way. I attempted to look for the Three Ladies brand rice paper, but of course, they didn't have it. I've only been able to locate them at H Mart. I mean, this store is just not affordable when it comes to the frozen food and buns selection. I honestly did not have any issue with the staff or customer service because there was one thing that happened, the cashier did not speak. I didn't greet her and she just did her duty. It was perfect and kind of wish it was like that everywhere. I come in stores to shop not to hold a conversation. I'm glad I didn't get disgusted looks either. While many folks have complained about poor service, I haven't had this issue with Jusgo. A mainstay in the Asian supermarket scene, they've been a fixture in just about any Asian enclave in the country, which perfectly coincides with the growing satellite Chinatown presence in Sugar Land. Some things I appreciate right off the bat: spacious, clean, relatively good pricing, and a good variety of imported Asian goods. Their seafood selection is outstanding and the amount of produce they have is quite good. Things are clearly labeled and I don't find it overly difficult to find what I need (#1). There are some good specials from time to time, usually for snacks or boxes of ramen. The food court is kind of weak, as many of the spots are mediocre at best. While it is semi-popular at lunch time, I don't normally see a lot of folks here. I should be happy they have it at all, but this is far from their highlights. If at all possible, avoid that hot buffet. I realize that with stiffer Asian supermarket competition across the street and even located in the same lot, that this Jusgo has its work cut out for itself. I don't think it's a bad place to grocery shop but I'd reserve it for folks who are simply need something quick and fast. If you are considering coming here, you should Jusgo. If they sold all their juice, you'll be like - where did the Juicego? If the juxtaposition of Asian groceries in Texas no longer surprises you, you'll be like, where did the Juxgo? And if the girl with the amazing boobies (my girl perhaps) disappears around the back of the store (with me hopefully, but probably with a taller boy), you'll be like, where did the Jugsgo? There are two awesome Asian grocery stores side by side here now, on Hwy 6 in Missouri City/Sugar Land, and both of them are excellent, although there are better ones in town such as the 99 Ranch on I-10 in Spring Branch. You can find food in here and a bakery and various delights. Its been remodeled recently and has lots of car doors full of shops and whatnot. That was supposed to say corridors, but car doors sounds more intriguing. It's really quite interesting and very well done. Having said that there are some things about it that could be better, and it's been pretty dead (for the extra businesses inside) during Corona. On the one hand I don't like supermarkets but on the other hand I like this one. That's quite a Jusgtaposition. read more

I shop at Jusgo supermarket because of the convenience. I do not shop here for the customer service. The customer service here is nonexistent. It is not one particular cashier, but it seems like all of them. Whenever I come, I go to a different check out line. The cashiers speak to me in English, but in a rough and imply tone. I speak to them in Chinese, and I'm polite and professional. Yet, they continue to finish the transaction in Chinese but rudely. They don't say hi or thank you. Again, this is not one time or sometimes, but all the time. The owners should read this review and retrain their staff. There are actually a few other Chinese supermarkets around the area. Found this gem about a year ago and it's part of our Sunday routine now. My dad likes their prepared food section and I like the diversity of their products. They sell a ton of Asian snacks that you can find anywhere else as well as a plethora of sauces, noodles, seasonings, drinks etc. The plaza inside also houses some restaurants, hair salon, cosmetics shop, and of course mochi! They run some great specials on their veggies and fruits. And they also sell soju and flavored beer. Some of their snacks are a bit pricey but they are delicious! If you like Chinese veggies, like yeow choy, bok choy, or gai lan, then get them here. - They have a lot of other food items essential to the Chinese pantry, such tofu, pickled radish, sriracha, edamame, soy sauce, rice wine, dumpling wrappers, spring roll wrappers, rice noodles, bags of rice, etc - They have fresh seafood and poultry - They have fun snacks and drinks that you can try or restock on if you like it: Vietnamese coffee packets, cafe du monde coffee, many different tea packets, a variety of instant ramen, interesting salty snacks like fried peas, and even Korean spicy ramen flavored chips (I tried this one. It was ok), cookies, crackers, etc. - For people who want to try eastern medicine, they have a shelf of various remedies to try. I have a few go to medicines that I think are good for the common cold or flu, and even to lessen heat if you're eating too much hot foods. So, we went there to get a red envelope. Couldn't find it so we asked. We asked two checkers in one lane, they acted like we were crazy, never heard of that. Asked two checkers in another lane. Same reaction but also with the attitude that they didn't have time to help. There was literally no one checking out anywhere. It was a terrible experience. They were so rude. Bought their "live abalone" even while the worker were packing them up, the worker were looking at us in a funny manner. I saw him spoke to one of the main seafood guy then he packed it up and gave it to us. This review is only regarding the deli inside Jusgo in Sugar Land (Dong Ting Cafe). The lunch boxes that are $5.99 each was very meh. Very little variety and no flavor, just lots of sodium. Slightly more authentic Chinese items than 99 Ranch and not nearly as many as Welfresh. A huge foliage of greenery for vegetation purposes. All types of fruit that you may have never seen before. I have found nice bundles of coriander and mint here. Fragrant and fresh in flavor. I normally grab random produce for my international cooking. Several aisles consist of frozen foods, dry goods and home/cleaning items. You'll be able to find most things here. Granted the prices may be higher, but it all depends on what you purchase. I don't normally visit this market, but I'll drop by once in awhile for a good walk and browse around out of curiosity. If you're looking to explore a new market in Sugar Land, this would be it. The service is warmer inside the small shops, such as the bakery and the cosmetic store. First visit and would be my last. There are 3 men working at the seafood section, one of them, the shortest one did not cut my fish right although I have told him my preference beforehand. When I told him he did wrong he got upset and started raising his voice to me and blaming me. First of all, that Hispanic guy was wearing ear phones and using his cellphone during the time I told him my preferred cut for my fish. Second, he has a bad attitude, third he has zero customer service knowledge. So that's why I'm not shopping in Jusgo anymore. 99 Ranch is still my favorite Asian market. The owners of Jusgo has a nice store and concept and the cashier was nice to me so I gave 2 Stars but I'd like to give 5 stars if not for the rude and uncivilized Hispanic guy in the fish section. read more

Can't go wrong with jusgo. Someone next door is going to go out of business due to them opening up in the same complex. I've been waiting for years for this location to open up. They have had their sign on their building for a very long time. I like the one in chinatown as well. Prices are reasonable. Fruits and vegetables are plenty. The seafood area stinks though in the Chinatown location. The seafood area in this location seemed fine. Plenty of fresh fish available. Terrible customer service!!!! Today I was waiting at checkout counter, the last customer was paying. While I was waiting I put my grocery items on the counter. I know how serious is covid 19 virus is, and I followed all the rules by standing 6 feet away from others, and wearing mask. However, the cashier called Pedro yelled at me and ask me to take away my stuff. He said, "oh gosh, no! no! no! you need to know how to read the signs. You cannot put your stuff here." He keeps yelling at me for a long period of time until I asked for their manager. I work as a restaurant manager for many years, I know how to treat your customers. This guy who works at cashier is unacceptable. If he needs me to stand back or wait till he finishes in a nicer way instead of yelling at me, I will definitely do it. I understand how stressful it is to face hundreds or thousands customers during this pandemic. Respect goes two way, I don't owe this guy anything. The social distance stickers on the ground should be further apart if they don't want the customers put things on the counter while they are waiting. This guy is ridiculous!! Glad there's more asian markets opening up in Sugarland but my experience here was not that great. They do have slightly cheaper prices than 99 Ranch and Hmart, but not by much. This is a rather large space walking in but the shelves look quite empty. The store doesn't fill up. And I don't feel like they carry as much stuff as other markets. I stopped by really quick to grab some groceries. It was pretty busy but they only had 2 register open. And when I finally got to check out, cashier wasn't really attentive. I had a lot of seafood and meats. I asked him to double bag my groceries, he handed me the bag... like what?! Even after I had paid, awaiting for my change. He didn't even handed me the remaining of my groceries but proceeded to check out the patron behind me. Super rude. I rather pay a little bit more and better customer service at 99 Ranch. read more

Just got a box of poor quality "medical grade" masks from Jusgo. What was $45 yesterday was $53 today (and what should be no more than $5 really)! Price gouging at its worse!!! If I was not desperate I would have left without getting anything and complained to the authorities. You should be ashamed of yourself Jusgo. Poor customer service. Imagine 4 staff at the meat section didn't even bother to help me because according to them it's not their job. What really made me upset is that there was one staff just a spit away from me who actually placed the meat in front of me just walked away from after placing the meat. Even before he was done placing the meat I already told him that I want to get the pork belly. What he did was just walked away from me. Now I called the other staff who's just less than 5 feet away from me, like 4-5 times i even said the word in Spanish but he pretended that he didn't hear me. That was the time I raised my voice. Telling them can I get this? Then they told me "NO." Referring that they can't serve me. So I left and went to the customer service counter and complained. Then decided to leave the store. Now If those people who are there but cannot serve the customers put someone who will be tasked to serve your customers. HORRIBLE CASHIER !!!! The cashier's ID is #7011. (Pedro) I had changed my mind on getting something and he had a fucking attitude about it and started mumbling "you could've told me before I put the paid sticker on the item"...SIR, you act like you can't just take that sticker off. (He ended up taking it off just as easily as he placed it on). So what's the issue? I don't understand what the fuss was all about?! WHAT! a customer can't change their mind on whether or not they want an item now?! I understand it was an inconvenience for you but that's apart of your job, if you don't want to do it then quit. Management, please train your employees to have some basic manners!! WTF kind of customer service is that !!! Horrible employees and customer service. We are all stressed over Covid-19 and try our best to keep social distance. The stickers on the floor are not clear, hand written and un-legible. We approached the one next to the start of cashier station but they apparently want you to wait 2 spots behind while the person in front goes from that spot to the 'payment spot'. So the cashier PEDRO LEON yells and says to go back, so we do but look at the next empty spot and go there so he yells to move one more. I told him the signs are not clear and asked him to not yell, he then gets mad and says even louder "can't you read". I approached and asked his name because he was not displaying a name tag, so he suddenly can't speak and shaking his head muffling probably choice words about me. I go to customer service who gave me his name but says no manager on duty. I call back the next 3 days and no manager on duty.
