One of the friendliest restaurant staffs we have found in a long time. Almost like family. Cozy dining room and a spacious outdoor patio. We're desert rats so we sat inside and left the patio dining to the more hearty clientele. Took a tip from other reviews and tried the cauliflower bites. Makes me want to try preparing a batch in my air fryer at home. The Conrad combo was loaded with meats, veggies and that melted stringy cheese that I haven't had since I was a kid. TNT Kegs - loaded tator tots!!! The crispest fried pickels you will ever find, yum. The Pastrami sandwich is lean with lots of flavor on a soft hogie roll. Onion rings cooked to perfection. My custom veggie pizza with Canadian bacon and cheese. The crust was perfect and toppings nearly to the edge of the crispy crust. To top off a perfect meal are the homemade desserts so many to pick from, apple pie, chocolate cake, cheese cake minis, lemon meringue pie, muffins, and assorted cookies. Now it's not just a huge cookie in a clear envelope........it's a warm cookie, like fresh out of the oven cookie! The cookies are kept in a warmer. Who does that?? It's so nice, I gotta share it twice!! When I tell you, that this place has hands down.. THEE best pizza I have ever experienced in my life, is not doing it justice. Me and my wife saw this place in our way to Joshua Tree, and when we were going home, we chose to go here based on the reviews, and did they deliver! An adorable atmosphere and the sweetest staff. My wife got a Turkey sandwich, classic, and it was absolutely loaded with meat, fresh lettuce & tomato. The golden fries were greatly appreciated and welcomed! Ha. I got the Meat Lovers pizza and it was an experience. The dough was perfectly cooked and crispy all around the butter edges while the middle stayed soft, and no stranger to the toppings. The Canadian bacon was on the thiccr side and had this amazing char to the edges. You get strategically placed pepperoni and BEEG pieces of sausage so that every bite contained all 3 meats. Don't get me started on the cheese. The quality it top tier. The owner told me he makes his own dough and uses cheese 3x$$$ what normal places use. For dessert, we got 3 cookies. Their Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter, and the classic Chocolate Chip. The peanut butter and Choco chip were absolute legends, but when I tell you........the Oatmeal.... Raisin....... Is something birthed from the heavens above, you haven't lived.. this cookie is so damn good, from the wife's mouth herself "...this cookie stole my heart" I can confidently say you will not be disappointed in your decision to eat here. Wow! We finally made it up to Just a Small Town Grill in Morongo Valley. It's an easy 20 minute drive up the 62 from Palm Springs, located right next to the Post Office. The Pizza was amazing and with the artichokes, it really set it apart from most others. The cheesy Pesto bread was soooooo good, with 2 dips included. All the other items coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled delicious! GREAT service from Jim and staff! Definitely will be back to try the others item. read more

I live down in Palm Springs, but tonight will be making yet another trip to Morongo JUST to experience this restaurant! Cute and cozy inside, friendly amazing staff, and THE FOOD good lord! Some of the yummiest pizza I've had, the owner makes the dough from scratch and you can tell! Cauliflower bites and tater kegs were also group favorites! I enjoy that they have plenty of items for people who are vegetarian or even just looking for something on the healthier side. Also a huge bonus that prices are incredibly reasonable in comparison to many other restaurants. Looking forward to trying more yummy items tonight! read more

The best cauliflower bites I've ever had! Had them once and 2 weeks later went back specifically for more. Everything we've had has always been so good. The pizza is top notch. Cheesy bread so good. My only request is they up their sandwich game. A good vegan or vegetarian sandwich would be great. Maybe use some better quality bread? Dogs are not allowed in restaurants. Unfortunately today there was a dog and it's bed inside the restaurant. If you're not following health codes in the dining area you're probably not following them in the kitchen either. Service Dogs don't usually require special bedding in public. Having the dog in the dining area was bad enough. Dragging its bed in was disgusting. Dogs that are obviously not service dogs shouldn't be allowed. read more

We ate at Small Town Grill yesterday, Jessica was our server. We sat on the patio because we had our little fido with us. We were greeted by the local roadrunner (literally) and Jessica promptly came out and cleaned the table before we even had a chance to sit and also cleaned the fan on the patio before turning it on. We live in the desert so we are not bothered by a little dust but we appreciated the effort to make sure we were comfortable out there. A gentleman also quickly came out to the patio to give our pup a bowl of cold water and a few pieces of chicken (such a cute gesture!) We ordered the hummus plate, the greek salad?, and the pizza with everything on it. I can't remember the exact menu names. The portions are hearty and the toppings were plentiful, I wanted something fresh and this hit the spot. We had eaten here once before and ordered the pesto cheese bread, also large portion size, and the Italian sub which was loaded with deli meat, both items SUPER tasty. We honestly can't say enough good things about the quality of the food which more than matches their fair pricing. If they weren't in Morongo we would likely frequent more often but this place flys under the radar and we forget about it until we are heading down to the low desert to run our errands. But after this visit this stop will definitely be elevated on our list and top of mind. Thanks for creating a hospitable environment and menu items with fresh, quality ingredients! Just stop in! What a great little place. The name and the reviews are what attracted us, and the service from both our server and the owner are what kept us. We sat in the relatively new outdoor area, which was very pleasant despite the hot day. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and attentive, even though we were the only patrons on the patio. The hummus was so good after a long hot hike, and the portions were great. We had a burger and chicken sandwich, which were both really good, and our side salads were very fresh.
