    Chicken schawarma pita

3.5: Decent takeout food in a no frills environment We arrived on a Monday evening 2 hours before their normal hour of closing to be told that they were only doing takeout. There were a few customers already sitting and eating so at first was taken aback but upon further probing they said they were closing an hour early. We enjoyed the food generally (chicken shawarma pita, vegetarian platter though the beef kebab was a bit dry and chewy) and it survived the trip back home well. The pita bread was wrapped in a plastic that showed where it was purchased; it was good but not homemade on premises. They sell other various pita wraps and platters, around $13 and $25 respectively. They also have some ethnic drinks and Dubai chocolate off to the side. Takeout was probably a good option as the actual ambiance was dated and not that comfortable... not a place to linger. They have a parking lot.

We were visiting the area for holiday and stopped for a quick lunch, certainly did not expect middle eastern food there and it caught us by surprise! Their kabobs were so flavorful and tasty, super quick service. And the place was clean.

The food was amazing! So glad we stopped in. Can't wait to come back! It was the perfect post hike meal. I also got the lemon mint drink and it was so refreshing. The pita was also warm and delicious! All of us finished everything on the plate!

Dubai Chocolate Bar--a legit treat. I took 2 bars home with me--no regrets.

Spectacular. First run, I did the lamb gyro platter. Every item was delicious: the shawarma, the rice, the wam pita, mediterranean salad and the yellow rice. Their tzatziki was perfect. I think their secret is adding fine diced cucumber and mint really elevates the sauce. My wife had the sandwich version and devoured it. Service was friendly and fast. I visit Joshua Tree frequently, this place is on my must revisit list. Eat here.

Found this place when searching for vegetarian food when visiting Joshua. This was the only Mediterranean joint we could find and it had good reviews. The place was quiet with enough seating. We were a group of 8 and could find a table immediately for lunch. There were all the usual menu options, nothing that was out of ordinary. Most of us ordered the falafel sandwich. Order came in fast. Falafels were fresh and the size of sandwich was good as well.

Here is what we tried .

Stopped in to Yucca Kabob for a late lunch. While this restaurant is not much to look at from the outside, the flavors are incredible and worth a stop. We were the only ones in the restaurant at first but that changed quickly after we ordered. We ordered the grape leaves appetizer, I had the Kofta Kabob wrap, and my fiancé had the beef kabob entree. Amazing grape leaves! We could have eaten another round of them. My wrap was delicious and very filling. The Beef Kabob entree was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the rice was out of this world. We should have eaten here for every meal during our trip!

Grateful to have this restaurant in the area! Great option given the many restaurants with burgers and fries in the vicinity. The portions are huge! I got the vegetarian entree which consisted of falafels, rice, hummus, salad, grape leaves, and pita bread. Also got the lemon lentil soup which was delicious as well. Service was courteous and quick. Easy parking in a lot.

Stopped by here on our first night in Joshua Tree and was pleasantly surprised! We are big Mediterranean food fans and thoroughly enjoyed our $49 meal for 2! For the price, the portions are large and enough for seconds. The service is a bit slow but the staff are really nice. It is pretty humid inside the restaurant and seemed like take out was very popular. We really liked the rice and all the kabobs. Would recommend if you're looking for food that tastes home cooked and authentic!

Got an order of chicken shawarma plate and fries and brought it to picnic in Joshua tree - so good! Fries are well seasoned, the plate had lots of flavor and well balanced for all the food groups. The only caveat is the chicken was a little dry but the sauce made up for it. Absolutely would come here again if in the area.

Literally the BEST middle eastern food out there. Unexpectedly amazing. I came with a group on ladies, we ordered the baba ganoush, egg omelette, fries, feta toast and wrap and OMG everything is delicious. Highly highly recommend coming here for your dinner. Parking is easy lot parking, bathrooms are available. Servers are nice. Food is excellent.

The food here is soooo incredibly good. We wanted some fuel food for Joshua tree and this is such a great healthy option. The service was great and parking was easy. It wasn't too busy. You can order take out or sit down and eat. The chicken shawarma was delicious and the gyro. Hummus and chicken and salad had so Much flavor. Definitely coming back here!

A hidden gem! We are tired of fast food, the typical burgers & fries, pizza etc. So we decided to give this place a try. Glad we did! I will say it's a bit costly but it's worth it. We got a family meal of 4 but easily fed 6 adults and 2 kids. We did add a tzatziki sauce/dip on the side. Every single item was delicious! Literally every.single.item. Although of the 3 meats, the chicken was the best. Second, was the kofta then the beef kabobs. Due to tenderness but flavors were good on all. Their fatoush salad was delicious and very refreshing too!! Hummus was generic and the baba ghanoush was one of the top few i had. Service was great but was not fond of the forceful automatic tipping. 18% for up to 6ppl and over 6 is automatic 20%. Luckily, service was great and they are deserving of it but just was never fond of it being done automatically before the services are even rendered. Just doesn't make sense. So minus a star on it but overall, place was clean and bathroom also big and clean. Will definitely still return when I'm in town again.

Upon entering we were immediately greeted by a nice man that I am assuming is the owner that other Yelp reviews have raved about. He helped us quickly at their food counter at the back (did I mention they are also a specialty foods market?) and we ordered two meals and an appetizer. We grabbed drinks from the cooler and sat at the table in the front. Our grape leaves came out first. Accompanied by chopped lettuce garnish and sliced tomatoes and oranges, they were tasty and delicious! Our food came out and we dug in to a gyro plate and a beef shawarma plate. Both came with a salad, pita and a choice of dip (we chose hummus). The portions were generous, the seasoning was mouth watering, and the presentation gorgeous! We could have easily also shared a plate, but we will always want more than one thing so it just means more chances to try new dishes! Their prices are very reasonable for extremely high quality fresh healthy food! We will be back for sure, and I also notice they deliver through DoorDash and Grub Hub. Drove to my family's house about 10 minutes away and opened up the containers and went to town. We ordered several of their dishes including their chicken shawrma, pita bread with extra garlic sauce and a kabob plate that came with hummus and outa and pickled vegetables. The food was good. Garlic sauce is not as good as I've had elsewhere. Chicken was tender and the beef was tender also. Unfortunately about 45 min later I was not feeling it. Ended up having some stomach issues afterwards. Won't gross anyone out with the details. But 3 of the 4 got sick and were not feeling good untill the next day. We've dined here many times, but on our most recent visit we had the pleasure of meeting the new owners, Raphael and his lovely wife Angie, and honestly, what a beautiful couple. Humble, kind, welcoming, and the kind of people who make you feel like you've known them for years. We were celebrating our anniversary with our children and family, a group of 9, and unfortunately we were running late. I called and told them we'd be there in about 10 minutes, and instead of making us feel rushed or uncomfortable, they simply said, "Don't worry, we'll take care of you when you get here." That alone told me a lot about the kind of people they are. They seated all 9 of us comfortably and treated us like family. We ordered a little bit of everything, including almost all the appetizers. The bone marrow is an absolute MUST, especially with the toasted bread that comes with it. The kids loved the Iberico Jamón, which is truly a delicacy and absolutely worth trying. We also ordered the ribeye and specifically asked for it medium-well plus. The chef somehow cooked it exactly the way we had pictured it in our heads. Perfectly done and full of flavor. Honestly, everything that came out of that kitchen was delicious. The seasoning, the Mediterranean flavors, the quality of the ingredients, you can taste the care that goes into the food. But what really stood out were the little things. One of our kids got cold, and the owners noticed before we even said anything and adjusted the AC. Our bread was getting low, and before we could even ask, another basket appeared at the table. Those small details say more about a restaurant than anything else. They were paying attention. They cared. And they wanted us to have a great night. Raphael and Angie, thank you for welcoming us, taking care of our family, and making our anniversary dinner such a memorable evening. You didn't treat us like customers, you treated us like family, and that means a lot. We'll absolutely be back. Wishing you both nothing but success and many beautiful years ahead. See you soon!
