This was a great experience all the way around. Asim is as reviewers say. He is awesome. He removed my tires and walked me around to see each brake pad and rotor. He showed me the precise measurements of wear and explained exactly where the rotors were in terms of wear. Other places insisted I needed to have the rotors re-machined. Asim asked if I felt rattling when breaking. When I said no, he said you don't need to do it now. It can wait. Asim is an honest broker in a business where those are hard to find. He just does brakes and has only himself as overhead so he doesn't have to upsell you on things to fix on your car so he can pay his guys and his rent. We had our brake pads replaced at half the price the dealership quoted with 10x the quality service. So worth it! read more

I was concerned about my brakes and so I took my car in and had them checked. He said they were still OK. He took it for a test run and also checked the oxygen level in the brake fluid and he said that needed to be changed next time I had a service appointment. I've requested to have all 4 brakes done. When I arrived - the place is clean and well organized. Before he started the work, he wanted to go over all 4 brakes with me which I learned a lot from to make sure we agreed of what needed to be done. Lo and behold, what he showed me was that I didnt need anything to be done with the brakes - cool! After looking up the reviews for "Just Brakes", I had already pretty much made up my mind that I would bring my car there. But when Yelp presented me with the option to get competing bids from other local brake shops, I decided to give it a try. Although I received multiple responses within minutes, Asim of "Just Brakes" is the only one who sent me a detailed bid that included each part that was needed along with their prices, as well as the amount he would charge in labor. He only stated in writing that they would be German parts since I have a German car. After a couple more online helpful exchanges, I called him around 11:30am to make an appointment. He told me to bring my car at 2pm which I did. He was waiting for me and immediately put my car on the rack because I told him I was curious to know whether the rotors that had 65k miles needed to be replaced as well. He had me feel the lip in the very worn rotors but told me that although it is typically preferable to replace worn rotors along with the pads, that it was completely up to me. He put no pressure on me. 5 minutes later, the German pads were delivered along with the rotors which he had order just in case. I went ahead and felt good about getting both done. I got to watch him work on my car in his very clean and organized shop. I was out of there in under an hour! Great honesty and service, great prices. He deserves all his good reviews! Asim was so nice when I called to say I would be 5-10 minutes late due to my car wash taking so long. He explained what needed to be done and fixed my brakes in just over an hour. He could not have been nicer to me and my son who paid over the phone. He would not accept my tip. He then noticed my left rear door wouldn't open and saw that the child-proof lock was set. AAA and others have checked that door and could not figure out the problem. Asim again refused my tip.
