Raising expectations- awards for great burgers
    matt s.

It's off the highway 2 miles. You're greeted with signs touting "Best burger in Paducah" 3 years' running. To be fair, "Just Burgers" also has fries, pork tenderloin, and chili cheese dogs. I got a double cheeseburger and chili dog. It's all bar seating, pretty rough. The chili cheese dog is epic-knife and fork required. The dog is huge and grilled; the chili is fantastic- this belongs in a MLB stadium. $3.49?!? But I'm here for the burger and... it was good, but... double cheeseburger with everything was definitely better than any chain. Good but not wow.

Descriptions were pretty accurate. The food was tasty and perfectly cooked. We had crinkle fries, double hamburger, onion rings, cheeseburger, mushroom swiss special, and chili cheese dog. It was reasonably priced and filling to our family of four. The only negative comment was that the sauce on the special didn't go well with mushrooms and swiss. It was exactly what one would want from a local burger joint. It was very busy. When the locals crowd a place, that says a lot.

Limited counter seating but it's fun to watch the guys and gals at work

The bomb. One of those burger dives across the country you MUST try. The basic burger and variations are just tasty to the max--mustard, catchup, pickles, cheese, the goods on a grilled bun--inexpensive too. I LOVE the crinkle fries but my colleagues got the onion rings, OMG so old school I stepped back into the sixties. Why not this place has been serving burgers since 1965. Another colleague got the chicken tenders--she couldn't believe so much goodness in one order. Basic sodas and ice tea (not bad) but milk shakes are also famous here too. Rich, thick, the real deal. Fast friendly service, inexpensive. As I said, the bomb!!

Awesome burgers with amazing cheese sticks!

It may not look like much, but when you have some of the best burgers around you don't need a palace to serve them out of. Just Hamburgers is the prime example of a good ole, solid cheeseburger meal. Prices are fantastic and portions are near perfect! We decided to get ours to go and enjoy them in Noble Park, and it was an awesome and enjoyable meal! The service was fast and friendly, and we'll definitely be back for more!

We tried the bacon double cheeseburger with everything on it. Absolutely delicious!! The staff were friendly, service was fast and efficient (even during the busy lunch rush), and I would definitely eat that burger again.

Double Cheeseburger. You can tell what the star truly is at Just Hamburgers The Burger!

Great burgers. Very original. Atmosphere didn't care too much. Felt like I was in a tattoo parlor.

I ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger, and it was enormous. The bacon was cooked perfectly, crispy without being overdone, and there was plenty of it. The toppings were fresh, the cheese was generous, and the burger was so big I couldn't finish it all. I wanted to, but it simply won the battle. One of the things that makes Parker's unique is the atmosphere. The walls are covered with horse racing memorabilia and photos. The owner is involved in horse racing, and the racing theme gives the restaurant a personality all its own. And don't leave without trying the ice cream. We had the soft serve, and it was absolutely delightful. It was the perfect finish to a great meal. This is the kind of classic American drive in that is becoming harder to find. Freshly prepared food, generous portions, local character, and a memorable experience. If you're passing through Paducah, Parker's is well worth getting off the interstate for. We'll definitely be back.

After doing some record shopping we asked "Where's a good place to go for lunch" and there was a unanimous "Parker's" from standers by. It was also, literally, about 3 blocks away. There's a menu board mounted behind the counter and they can hand you one so you don't have to squint your eyes to see all they have to offer. And this menu is ENORMOUS Parker's is a very cool throwback to the car hops of the 50s and early 60s. You can order outside on the speaker or go inside for the full-on experience. The inside is decorated with movie and music memorabilia and neon. Lots of neon. If you're eating inside you order at the counter, they give you a number, and you find a seat. The menu is hand-held/bar food. Burgers, hotdogs, onion rings, and fries, and a variety of sandwiches and a HUGE selection of sides. My wife had a mushroom and swiss burger, I had your basic cheese burger. Our sides were onion rings and fries. Our food was delivered hot, fresh, and accurate within ten minutes. My wife's burger/onion rings came on a basket shaped like a guitar. #AWESOME!! The food was tasty and delicious. I asked for tomato on my cheeseburger and they were able to add it, but was sliced probably 3/4 of an inch thick! It made the burger look a little lopsided, but it was still good. The staff was friendly and didn't look at me funny when I asked for a side of mayonnaise for my fries (yea I'm that guy). The dining room was authentically decorated, like I said, with vintage movie and music stuff down to the chrome chairs and the soda fountain seat with silver, twirly seats...even the floor tiles were like something you'd see in a movie from the 50s. Our first visit was a great experience and we had a lot of fun despite unrelenting rain. If we get to Paducah again, Parker's Drive In is definitely our lunch destination.

For our entrée, we shared the pork shoulder, and it was absolutely delicious. The fennel aioli was such a great touch, and the combination of pork, peas, and greens made for the perfect Southern bite. We enjoyed it so much I wish we could go back tonight! We showed up right at opening, five o'clock, and there was already a long line of people waiting to get in. Make a reservation. I'm glad we did. We had a party of four and was seated at a low top that had a view of the kitchen. Lively open space with an open kitchen you can see both the cook line and the prep area. The cornbread was the unexpected standout of the entire meal. Mildly sweet, savory, light and fluffy all the way through. I was not expecting a side dish to steal the show, but it did. We also ordered the double stuffed burrata, and the bread it came with deserves its own mention. Crisp, lightly toasted, with just a touch of char. It paired beautifully with the creamy burrata and the accompaniments on the plate. For my entree I went with the grilled Caesar salad and added shrimp. It ended up being the perfect call. The portion was generous, the shrimp addition made it feel like a real meal. The romaine had this excellent crisp char on it that added so much. The dressing was heavenly. One of the best Caesar dressings I have had in a while. My favorite parts of the night had nothing to do with what was on my plate. We got to watch chef Sara Bradley working the kitchen with her team during service, and it was clear why this place has the reputation it does. I'd love to come back and try the prix fixe tasting menu next time. Overall this was a great experience from start to finish. And a must stop or destination when driving through KY.

Just Hamburgers: Just okay…read more.. My cousin and I dropped by Just Hamburgers for a late lunch, lured in by the name and the promise of--well, hamburgers. Naturally, we expected a lineup of mouthwatering burger options. Plot twist: the menu was as barebones as it gets. Think "hamburgers or hot dogs" with little to no personality. No signature sauces, no quirky creations--just vibes and buns. I stepped up to order and was immediately thrown into a conversation about my shirt. (Fashion critique wasn't on the menu, but sure.) I asked about the burger size, and was told--deadpan--they're "flat." Well, that clears that up. Eventually, I was informed that a double is "about the size of a quarter pounder." Cool, I guess? I ordered a burger with mayo and chili, to which the guy replied, "That's odd, but okay." Look, either make it the way I like it or lock the doors, buddy--because this wasn't shaping up to be a five-star first impression. When my food was handed over in a paper bag with zero inquiry about dine-in or takeout, we just sat down at a dirty table and unwrapped our meal. What awaited me was the burger equivalent of déjà vu--basically a McDonald's cheeseburger in witness protection. To be fair, the food was fresh and hot. But the flavor? Aggressively average. We even debated swinging by a drive-thru afterward just to feel something again. That said, I'll give them this: it was oddly refreshing to see they serve real all-beef franks. A small win in a sea of "meh." Bottom line: If I'm nearby and need a snack, I might circle back. But I won't be making a pilgrimage for this one. Just Hamburgers lives up to its name--emphasis on just.
