If you are a job seeker, I do not recommend working with staffing agencies for a few reasons. Let's get into a few problems with this one in particular. Most of these reasons are applicable to the other agencies out there. First, this staffing agency asks for sensitive information before you are certain you have a job. When I came for the interview, they asked for my social security card and bank account number. This made me very uncomfortable, considering I was not assured a position. A few days after meeting with the recruiter, I followed up about the job I interviewed for. He said the job was "on hold" but the company really liked my resume. Sure... Shortly after that, he said the job had been filled by an internal candidate. Ultimately, that seems to be how it goes at most companies. A series of interviews are conducted with external candidates. In the meantime, an internal candidate has been selected. In a way, I can't fault this staffing agency for that. The recruiter seemed transparent, but all he really wanted was to enter me into the big database of job candidates. I worked with this agency months ago and have not been contacted with any further job leads.
