Picked up a 1/2 bushel of steamed and seasoned #1's Friday to celebrate my daughters graduation with the family. When I arrived they were ready and waiting and when we got home the sizes and weight of each crab was more than we could have asked for in a meal. They were perfectly seasoned, meaty, sweet, and delicious! This place is the best at what they do and Justin and his family go out of their way to serve up the best seafood , from fresh to cooked. Used to be great, now they suck. Unless you want crabs, shrimp or fresh fish which are great but they are only open weekends and no longer fry or cook anything else. Such a shame. we drive to Hagerstown MD again to get the best, whatever we want. Apparently they make all the money they need from steamed crabs and shrimp AND they're closed for 4 months a year. Outstanding and fresh hand breaded shrimp was what I got when I ordered at Just In Time Seafood. People were cracking crabs, the fresh market was busy, and my tastebuds were beyond satisfied. I'm touchy about shrimp because used to it being fresh being from Florida So, when I tried theirs, I was completely happy as the shrimp was tender, the batter was tasty, and the tail popped right off. We've been patronizing Just in Time Seafood for about three years. I ALWAYS order the lump crab cake for lunch. It's simply best ... and at $13, it should be. They had a $3 price increase when they moved. We stopped in at their new location and I ordered the lump crab cake sandwich with fries. Hubby ordered two fried oyster sandwiches. What I got was a BACKFIN crab cake. I asked the woman and she said, "That's what you ordered." Uh, no, I specifically ordered the LUMP crab cake, same as I've done for three years now. After going back and forth, she offered to make a lump one but my conscience wouldn't let me throw away untouched food. It was hockey puck sized, overcooked in the fryer, mushy and tasteless. The lettuce and tomato weren't fresh. The French fries were the best part of the meal. Hubby said his oyster sandwiches were fine. We won't be going back. read more

We have been frequenting your business for YEARS. We were celebrating my son's birthday tonight. You are open until 8 pm. To any other restaurant in the United States that means that's when your last customer is served, not when you start throwing your customers out! At 8:00 you came to our table and said you needed us to finish up and leave. At 8:14 your kitchen staff started singing "happy birthday get out". We were out of there at 8:16, carrying some of our food in our hands. You didn't offer any to-go containers, nothing. Just get out. I spent $140 tonight. I am appalled at the treatment we just received. It's DISGUSTING you would treat any customer like this let alone one you know. When most people think of good crabs they think Baltimore. I walked into this restaurant with no expectations. They had super jumbo crabs so I asked to see one, it was surprisingly large. So I purchased a dozen and half. These turned out to be really good crabs, they had a good flavor and were all heavy. My son stopped here on the recommendation of his friend. He raved about this place; so, I decided to join him for lunch today. WOW! We both ordered fried oysters and ended up ordering ANOTHER pint of them because they were so damn good! We've been on a quest for them for years now and both of us rate them a TEN. I was pleased with the speed of service as we called in our order and it was promptly ready as promised. We had the 2 piece catfish combo and the shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos was the better dish of the two, it was the most flavorful. The catfish, while well cooked was not seasoned at all. Thank God for Texas Pete hot sauce! The string beans were not seasoned either. The hush puppies did not disappoint and how could you go wrong with fries. Everything was piping hot, to my satisfaction. Been here three or four times before and have really enjoyed the food. Today was very disappointing. My wife had the fried calamari platter and I had the large combo. All of the fried food looked and tasted like it was over cooked. On the positive side the fresh seafood display counter looked amazing and the front staff was welcoming and friendly. Absolutely the best place around to get Maryland crabs! We have gotten crabs here 4 times this year and every time the crabs have been fantastic! The prices are awesome, and they are very affordable. Got 2 dozen oysters on the half shell to go. Got home, opened the boxes, got the BIGGEST oysters I've ever seen! One even had a small pearl inside. We fried half a dozen and they were amazing. We didn't get that "high" feeling that some oysters give you. Delicious!!! Well worth the money. read more
