Came here on a referral from a coworker. Said they were better than chop't. Line wasn't too bad. I had the chipotle cowboy which was tasty but I felt that the leaves weren't as crisp as I would like. I really enjoy Just Salad Park Slope for lunch! The place is sunny, and the people making the salads are patient, efficient, and very friendly, especially considering that they are working at a rapid pace. If you want a quick, satisfying, and healthful meal, this will do the trick. I have had very good luck with make-your-own salads and spicy tahini dressing. My friend likes to get bowls sometimes. As of October 2017 they eliminated all salad chopping so you end up with salad with giant chunks of salad, whole almonds, cherry tomatoes, and golf ball size clumps of cheese, defeating Whole point of coming to place like this. You might as well just buy a bag of salad and Whole toppings at grocery store for 1/10th the price. They also greatly reduced portions by no longer using mixing bowls. Instead they put ingredients in their take out plastic bowls which in effect is giving you half the salad (as once chopped salad would typically be half the size it started). Also if you bring your own bowl make sure bottom and outside is clean as they will be sticking right in the salad and then sitting right on their prep counter (which can't meet healthy code or allergy standards). Even without factoring in reduced portions and lack of chopping pricing has nearly doubled since I started going here. For a decent salad with meat you are looking at $13 which is a bit crazy. Finally they used to offer a rewards card so loyal people like me who go everyday got some sort of incentive but then they decided to switch to only getting a reward using Level Up (basically giving you $10 for every $100 spent). The issue is is that at Park Slope location Level Up is broken at least once a week which of course is a windfall for the store since that means they are saving hundreds in not thousands of unissued rewards per day. I am starting to think they are just unplugging the Level Up on purpose. It's sad as this used to be a great place but thankfully we now have dozens of cheaper and just as healthy places (and Whole Foods) within a 6 block radius. read more

I went to Just Salad two days in a row. The first day I ordered on line and when I went in my order was not ready. Porcha greeted me with a smile and told me that she will find out what happened. She went above and beyond to get my order together as quickly as possible. She is truly the best. The second day I went I decided to just stand on line. Orlando served me once again with a smile. There are several Just Salad locations in NYC that are great, but the Park Slope location is a disaster. Terrible customer service, routinely deliver salads over an hour after the quoted delivery time, impossible to reach when there's a problem with the order, and on three different occasions have left the main ingredient out of a salad. As in- we ordered a crispy poblano chicken salad and when it came, 90 minutes later, there was no chicken in it. It amazes me that I keep ordering from here, but the food at other locations is delicious so I keep wanting to give them another try. Our most recent order of four salads was still missing after 90 minutes (quoted delivery time was 30-40 min) and when I called, I was placed on hold for 17 minutes. I was finally connected to the store, and they said they couldn't help, didn't apologize, didn't offer to track the driver, were totally rude, and didn't have any explanation for the delay. For $16 a salad from a place down the block, you'd expect either accurate orders, or quick delivery, or good service...or something. Sadly, Just Salad does nothing right. read more

We are first-time customers and won't be ordering from here again because of the customer service. I ordered the falafel salad, with three additional toppings. At the time our order should have been delivered, they called to say they do not have falafel - the main ingredient in the salad. I requested tofu instead. Fine. When the order came (late), it did not have the three additional toppings we paid for (and they only added about a tablespoon of tofu for the whole salad). I called and said I would like a refund for the three items we paid for. The person offered to send the items or a coupon. She didn't seem to hear me, so I said again I would like a refund. She tersely said "fine, have a nice day", and hung up. She was really rude. It seems to me if the company made a mistake, and the customer was charged for it, it would be in their best interests to listen and resolve the situation in a polite manner. We'll see if the refund ever shows up. Either way, we won't be going here again. read more

Really stingy with dressing and ingredients. I paid $2 +tax extra for avocado and there were maybe two or three little cubes of avo found in my whole salad. I could have put two whole avocados in there had I gone to the store and assuming they are paying wholesale prices, this is a HUGE markup. For, what, 1/4 of a small avocado? Barely any chicken in the chicken Caesar. Not enough dressing in the little cup that comes on the side to cover the whole salad. Basically I feel like I paid premium prices for a glorified bowl of lettuce. I also ordered the broccoli cheddar soup which was ok but pretty bland, not what I was expecting. This location of Just Salad is extremely busy during the lunch rush on weekdays, as they serve the nearby hospital and many smaller offices. However, I go in about once a week and order my salad at the counter. Despite a long line, the staff moves very quickly, especially considering how many salads they are making for to-go orders at the same time! The staff is more than professional - they are nice, cheerful, and if you are lucky enough to get helped by David, you might get a few jokes, too. I didn't recognize the smell until I had already ordered. If I had, I would have walked away. I realized, as my salad was being chopped, that the whole place smelled of garbage - a whiff of rotting food basically. The ingredients in my salad seamed fresh-ish, though. Low quality, but not terrible. (Tasteless tomatoes, rubbery cheddar, etc.) That's to be expected, too, since it's essentially a fast food place. (That's why I'm not giving one star: They're not reaching for a high bar, and that's normally okay.) None of the tables were wiped clean, even though they were hardly busy. (One other person in the place, at least three employees.) The personnel could not care less about their work - no smiles, little eye contact, all mumbling. At least one person's apron and hat was absolutely covered in days-old, dried and caked stains and splatter. All in all, the place seemed very poorly managed. read more

This is probably one of my new favorite spots to come to now ! The salad I had was GREAT (Thai Chicken Crunch) and the service was SUPER. When I walked in I was greeted by warm beautiful smiles from the gentlemen at the register Corey and the other staff that were fixing these great salads Epstern, Sheena and Shirley. They were super welcoming and looked happy to be there. I would definitely be back with friends and family to try some of the other salads. I think the staff there is amazing and full of energy. My server was Edward. He treated me very well and helped me make my choice. It was my first time there and I'm glad I chose this place. I had the chipotle cowboy salad (which was very good) and the pumpkin bisque (which was phenomenal).
