My dad brought our old 1989 grand marquis here when I was a kid. Now I get to bring my cars here. No nonsense. Just smog.

I just purchased a Shelby and was having issues with my current smog shop since they didn't know what a stock air intake looks like. Checked online and found just smog. I was greeted by Lim when i arrived, i told him my situation with he last shop so he took a look and immediately found my intake was stock. I had a good time chatting him about a lot of things car and business related and he comes off a personable and understanding person. I liked that he is an authentic person and didn't lose sight of that fact that he was still doing my smog. Has great pricing, is knowledgeable, respectful of others property, very humble and efficient. I will be bringing all my cars to Lim moving forward.

What's so great about a test only smog shop? Well, you don't get a mechanic trying to tell you that a hundred things are wrong with your car. So, all you get is a smog test and you're outta there in 15 mins or less. If you feel like shopping, GoodWill is around the corner. read more

One of the best and most honest smog shops in the area. The owner is very helpful and always directs you where your car needs to be. Other places will not warm up your car so you can fail and double pay. Just Smog will not conduct business that way. I highly suggest you go there. read more

Came here about seven years ago on a friend's recommendation and have been bringing both of my cars here ever since. Bee seems to be the sole proprietor and is fast, knowledgeable and courteous. While inspecting under the hood one year, he. Prices a wiring loom that was getting lightly scraped by a pulley. He brought it to my attention and then zipped tied it out of the way. An easy fix, but many other places wouldn't have even noticed (I didn't either). His prices are reasonable and he's never tried to sell me on anything more than I came in for, though I honestly believe he'd tell me if I did need something done as preventative. Lastly, and this is really the most important thing to me, he's respectful of his customers and their cars. I'm a life-long customer here and would recommend him to any- and everyone. read more

Great price and great service what else can you ask for? I got there no wait sat down chatted with the guy (sorry I didn't catch his name), we talked about his dog, Tyson and I was out of there within 15 minutes. This is the place to go for a smog and we know all of us eventually do as long as we own a car... Seriously, the guy was nice, the job was done fast, it was well priced, and all of this business about a sketchy neighborhood -- I don't get it. Unless of course you don't get out in Hayward much. It's right across from Ray's Sushi (highly recommended) and just down the street from Target. I'll be back for my next vehicle! read more

There is a reason V has been in business for so long, it's because he's that awesome haha, in all seriousness V knows what he's dpi and he gets it done in what I like to call. Quick fast and in a hurry with attention to detail he can spot an aftermarket part like a cop spots pot smokers in a open field haha. Great service cheap prices, your in, out and on your way. Just smog is right in the hayyyyy hahaha read more

I brought both of my cars to V's shop to get smogged as well as my whole family. His customer service is great and he takes his time with each customer. I even brought my motorcycle over once and went riding with him. Top knotch service. Even Tyson his guard dog is on point with customer service. Don't ever get smogged anywhere else, go to just smog. read more

From the time I drove up to the time I left, eleven minutes. It was quick, easy and efficient. The cost for my 2002 SUV came to $50. I hate to have my SUV smogged every other year, but this made it as painless as possible. I'll be back. read more

He gets you in and out quickly, even while being friendly and conversational. It's a test only center so you can be sure he's not going to try and get you to perform unnecessary repairs. My son and I were doing some repairs on one of our vehicles, which required the battery to be disconnected. This reset the emissions readiness of the vehicle, and the onboard computer needed to evaluate the vehicle under certain driving conditions. Fernando explained what needed to be done, and my son completed the hoops and we got back in for the smog check. I definitely recommend this place!

Be sure to utilize their COUPON (discount) on their Smog Service and other services located on their site! Disclaimer: There was no hard sell and/or pressure from Ken or his son who were friendly and efficient. Note: STAR stations are held to higher performance standards by the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and are authorized to test vehicles flagged as high-polluter risks

Because i am a chick, i know absolutely nothing about cars. The person servicing me, his name which I know starts with a "V", was very personal and was more than willing to answer any questions I had on my car. He took the time to look through my car and gave suggestions on what I can do to better maintain my car. He was very sincere and wasn't annoyed with how clueless I really am with my car. It's nice to know that someone's not trying to get me in and out and pocket my money. It's nice to know that someone will go the extra mile for a complete stranger. i tell ya, the world will be a better place if they have more people like Mister "V" Maybe this place shouldn't be called "Just Smog"... because i left with much more than that. read more

call this place for a smog check for my old 1993 car, unfortunately this place does not do star smog anymore. however, the person i spoke to on phone was very helpful. i even called back a second time to ask his opinion on quotes i get from other star testing places. Lin(person i spoke to on phone) was very helpful and explained to me that old car needs to do evap test. he seems eager to help and didnt seem annoyed by my tons of questions. thanks, will bring my other cars here next time. read more

Wouldn't go anywhere else, not only does he do my smog quickly, he always has good conversation and a great attitude. He has an amazing dog with him at his shop that couldn't be more friendly. He also has a wealth of knowledge about cars in general and can almost always answer any other questions I have about the way my car is running. read more

Great service. While my car was in for smog the power steering fluid was leaking. He checks out finding the cap was loose. I was grateful that he added fliud and what to do to correct the problem. I wish i have more cars to bring more business to him. Thank you read more
