I literally put it on, wore it for 20 minutes on my commute to work, sat at my desk and found a flaw near the neckline of the shirt where the raw edge of the chiffon had not been stitched far enough in. Of course, I was stuck wearing it the whole day as I was at work. When I got home, I hand washed it, since I didn't want to return a stinky shirt. When I returned the shirt on Wednesday, 10/23, the associate, Montanna, offered to special order one for me, since they didn't have one my size in the store. Since I loved the shirt, I obliged even though I thought it was poor service to charge me a $6.95 "special order fee" for a shirt that I only had to "special order" because the first one was defective. I received a voicemail today, Monday, 10/28 that my special order was ready to be picked up. I felt this was peculiar because it had only been two business days and Maurices' ground shipping always takes a week or more to arrive at my house, not to mention that on my special order receipt, the projected pickup date is 11/6. Nonetheless, I was excited to pick up my shirt. I got to the store, picked up the shirt, got in my car and decided to look it over to make sure it didn't have any problems. Much to my disgust, it had the SAME flaw in the SAME place, had no tag, and smelled like my laundry detergent. What are the odds, huh? Needless to say, I went back in the store and pointed out that it had the same flaw in the same place, implying that it was the same shirt. The clerk assured me (translation: lied to my face) that she "took it out of the box this morning." Sure ya did. When I returned it, I asked if I could get my $6.95 "special order fee" back. The associate asked another associate, who told her that they couldn't do it because the money went to UPS. Yeah, sure. The shirt never left the freaking store. Here's what I assume: When the original defective shirt was returned, it showed up in the inventory as being available for special order. So when the special order was placed, I ordered the SAME defective shirt I just returned. Not only that, but I paid a $6.95 special order fee for the same damn shirt when it didn't even get shipped through UPS. I have filed a corporate complaint, so hopefully they will resolve it. My advice to you is to avoid this store like the plague. Other Maurices stores have been fine, but this one in particular is DISHONEST and INCOMPETENT. UPDATE 10/30/2013: Corporate has replied to my complaint with an apology and a refund of the "special order fee." It's a relief that Maurice's Corporate has decent customer service.

Apparently I had not noticed a small tear until the day of event as...I was getting dressed. Due to the short notice I had to wear something I already had. I went to return the romper the next day and the employee told me I could only exchange it. I was upset since I had no use for the item anymore. To top it off I had the receipt and the tags were still on it. I shop here all the time and never had to once return and item however I had yet to experience this issue anywhere else. Truly disappointed that if you have your receipt, tags on the merchandise and purchased it within their 30 day return policy your money cannot be returned. They didn't even offer store credit to top it off!

Walked into THE BUNKER this morning, I was the only customer and I could tell that the clerk was on the phone with a vendor, and they were definitely discussing business. I expected her to at least recognize that I was a customer with a handful of money to give her, a nod of the head, a wave would have been nice. Or what if she told vendor, "Hey, I'll call you back in a few minutes, I have a customer here"? I walked around the shop four or five times, she knew I was there but I was ignored, so I left. This is a rule and not the exception when I enter a gun shop. Sometimes the clerk is talking to a friend or some old man, swapping hunting stories, there is no product on the table and as far as I can see, the customer is not purchasing anything, but I am ignored. I work retail, let me give you a few lessons on how to treat a customer. 1. Greet every customer within 30 seconds of coming in. When I am with a customer, wrapping up a deal at the counter and a new customer walks in, I say, "Welcome, glad your here, we are closing up this deal and I'll be with you in a few minutes" 2. Or how about this, you are showing a customer product when a new customer comes in, say to you existing customer, "Hey a new customer has just come in, let me greet him and show him where to go and I'll be back with you in a new minutes. 3. If some old guy comes in with no intention of buying, but just comes in to swap stories. say to him, "Hey, I would like to hear the end of your story, but first, let me help the customer who just came in." If I treated my customers like I am treated in most gun shops, I would be fired. Hey gun shop owners, I want to do business with you. I will ben pay a premium to help support your business. I do not want to shop at the big national retailers or on line. But if this crap continues, I will take my money elsewhere.

I knew I wanted my own equipment to ski comfortably and apparently it's changed a bit since I went in the 90's lol. Greg showed me several different boots, measured my foot, gave me pointers on picking ski's and the difference of each style, level of ability, width...which was really helpful. He spent at least 20 minutes after I picked the boots I wanted fitting them to my foot so they fit like a glove. Haven't decided whether I'll rent or buy ski's yet but I know I won't regret getting these boots and will be back when I figure out how often I'll be skiing. This store has been around for ages and I highly recommend getting your athletic gear from them. You won't find the great customer service that they provide at the online stores.

I saw a comment about someone being frustrated about the wait to get their board waxed... how about being stoked that it's SUCH a good snow year that the there is a wait? I was mildly carsick, we were sticky from the heat, and had no plan for the day. Mom suggested we stop by this place...I'd never heard of it, but WE LOVE SHOES so of course the answer was yes...especially when told we would find styles and fits there we would be hard pressed to find in any other brick and mortar around the scablands of SE Washington. We walked in and I was AWESTRUCK by the old vintage styles lined up on the top, left-most wall. While disappointed they weren't for sale at the time, I spent a good amount of time fawning over them before blowing pass the standard inventory and moving onto the clearance section. NOTE: I am 100% guilty of buying crappy, flat, unsupportive shoes because they are cheap. I am a miser by nature in all the wrong ways. Those same shoes I waste money on, I end up only wearing them once or twice because I hate how they feel, and had given up on finding beautiful shoes that were also comfy...the shoe-nicorn, if you will. After perusing the clearance section and finding a couple of cute pairs, I ventured into the wild, untamed land of *gasp* the standard priced shoes. I was rendered speechless. Beautiful riding boots? With wool lining? THAT ALSO FIT MY BIRD-CALVES?? YES PLEASE! My elation was soon followed by despairing over the pricetag. Multicolored Reikers that felt as though I was walking on air!? They immediately made me feel like a better, more well-rounded version of my self...again the pricetag. About this time, the owner noticed me flitting from display to display with stacks of shoes in my hands, trying to figure out which ones I needed vs. which ones I NEEDED...all while my sister looked on from the birkenstock display with a look of amusement painted on her face while chatting up an old wise-acre trying on his own set of magical footmitts about how ridiculous I was...and she wasn't wrong. The owner sat me down with my spread and measured my feet...something that hadn't been done since I was knee high to a tall grasshopper. We discovered I was a 39 and she set about helping me pick out a handful of shoes and boots I was enthusiastic to try on. After getting the size and back-room order from my cohort, she flitted off while I gushed about this store and chatted with the same wise-acre who had transformed into an elderly gentleman who's poise and grace was unmatched now that he had been fitted with his snazzy new pair of kicks. The owner returns... Now came the fun and most emotionally compromising part...the fitting. I Tried on two pairs of Reikers (pumps and boots). The owner laughed and looked quite pleased as she watched my soul being reborn in that moment and I learned a valuable life lesson which I will attempt to articulate now...you cannot put a price on good footwear. As comfortable as those Reiker boots were, the owner told me "hold on just a sec...I think I have a boot for you that would be an even better fit" and she disappeared into the back once more. I eagerly awaited her return and was so pleased once she did. I was presented with the most comfortable Spring Step boots I could have ever hoped to find. Waterproof, temperature regulating, and SNAZZY! I entered that store not intending to purchase anything at full price and left with two pairs of fancy new kicks (between the three of us we left with five pairs). I have never in my life had better customer service or been more pleased/amazed with the quality of merchandise I was presented with. I have gotten so much use out of those two pairs of shoes since August and I can promise I will be back for more!
