POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! This is NOT a friendly place anymore! Especially if you don't LOOK just right to whomever might be SERVING the customer when you arrive! The website says they welcome anyone, but they don't, they really want to focus on law enforcement, which is perfectly fine, a business may do whatever they choose to do, but in a community such as ours which is FULL of Veterans of all types, and they all may look different depending on their experiences, types of service and what they've possibly suffered in their lives, maybe, just maybe they shouldn't be judged so quickly, maybe they deserve grace and DIGNITY. Doesn't their money, and their families money spend the same no matter what they may APPEAR to look like? I know our family will never spend another moment there AND will tell anyone we know how rude and judgemental this once friendly place where we watched a local blacksmith who appeared on FORGED AND FIRE show off his skills one weekend and hoped that the store would succeed and prosper....I love LEO, and Veterans, my husband was both, sacrificed many years for his family, Country and the State in which we came here from. He was treated with absolute disrespect, and so was my son yesterday, and all they were looking for was a holster, watched like they were there to steal something, made to feel like they didn't belong to their NEW branding... Ok, it's my time to rant. Why do almost all gun shops give horrible customer service? My experience today, has been repeated in multiple gun shops I have visited, I am ignored. Walked into THE BUNKER this morning, I was the only customer and I could tell that the clerk was on the phone with a vendor, and they were definitely discussing business. I expected her to at least recognize that I was a customer with a handful of money to give her, a nod of the head, a wave would have been nice. Or what if she told vendor, "Hey, I'll call you back in a few minutes, I have a customer here"? I walked around the shop four or five times, she knew I was there but I was ignored, so I left. This is a rule and not the exception when I enter a gun shop. Sometimes the clerk is talking to a friend or some old man, swapping hunting stories, there is no product on the table and as far as I can see, the customer is not purchasing anything, but I am ignored. I work retail, let me give you a few lessons on how to treat a customer. 1. Greet every customer within 30 seconds of coming in. When I am with a customer, wrapping up a deal at the counter and a new customer walks in, I say, "Welcome, glad your here, we are closing up this deal and I'll be with you in a few minutes" 2. Or how about this, you are showing a customer product when a new customer comes in, say to you existing customer, "Hey a new customer has just come in, let me greet him and show him where to go and I'll be back with you in a new minutes. 3. If some old guy comes in with no intention of buying, but just comes in to swap stories. say to him, "Hey, I would like to hear the end of your story, but first, let me help the customer who just came in." If I treated my customers like I am treated in most gun shops, I would be fired. Hey gun shop owners, I want to do business with you. I will ben pay a premium to help support your business. I do not want to shop at the big national retailers or on line. But if this crap continues, I will take my money elsewhere. read more

My interactions were all online. They were listed as a seller for a manufacturer of remote speaker mics for handhelds. They were able to contact the manufacturer and ship the item directly to me. They went through a lot effort to help me out. They contacted me frequently with any updates from the start of our conversation. A great group of people. read more

Love it, great place for military and surplus gear, Cody helped me find what I was looking for

I shop @ The Bunker as often as I can, Because it is a locally owned shop which I will always choose to support over corporate chains, and because they offer genuine military surplus with great prices. Their military boot selection is awesome and I got my pair (looked brand new for $60) I looked up the model of my boots, and they were 2014s and $280 new. Great value. The owner Steven is a Good guy and always helpful and informative. To Bob: I've managed Customer Service Reps and Direct Sales Reps for a good period of time, And although you make some valid points that customers should be greeted and recognized. The employee was occupied and busy handling business related tasks, I personally feel it's pretty unreasonable to leave a 1 star rating just because the employee didn't drop everything they were doing just to greet you. People don't read minds, Maybe she thought you were there to look around like so many others do, Maybe she didnt see you, maybe she did see you but was handling something important.. In my experience, If you make yourself known, wave at the person, stand by the counter and make eye contact with them and let them feel your presence, Then your relaying you have a question or need help with something, and people will respond in a predictable manner and help you.. If you were then brushed off after making yourself clearly known and that you need help, Then maybe a 3 star rating could be acknowledged, But a 1 star rating for an employee performing work duties and just not greeting you is pretty unfair. So I came into this store hoping to find a good pair of desert fatigues. Soon after entering I overheard the store employees whispering to each other quote" he has a bag". I found a nice cigar box and inquired about purchasing it. It was then that one of the employees took the opportunity to stay close to me and I would catch her stealing glimpses into my bag. this is obviously stereotyping as they assumed I was there to steal. I told her as I opened up my bag and held it out that she could look inside if she wanted to I'm not here to steal. Loved it because I have and my my personal bob bag and there was so many things that I should've gotten but didn't. What I did get was a 26 inch baton for 20 bucks I thought that was a steal considering that they are that cheap when there broken.All in all coming back for more And photos too. read more
