Churros with raspberry sauce and caramel on the side

I stopped in this restaurant on a wing, right after being lent down by the Auto Spot dealer. The restaurant had great service from the start, though it was not busy at the moment when I arrived. I would describe the setting as casual. You can order for dine-in or take away. On the day that I visited, it happened to be "taco Tuesday." So, I ordered from the specials and decided to try the single Pollo taco. The staff member added sliced catcus on the side since I inquired about the cactus taco. I guess I wasn't too daring to try a whole one just yet. That was my first time trying catcus... it wasn't bad at all. The taco was great. Authentic, freshly made corn tortilla, well seasoned chicken, and plenty of veggies and toppings to go with it. Based on how the restaurant is set up, you can see your order being prepared and cooked made-to-order. There were about 4-5 different sauces that were presented to the table to try with the taco ranging from heat setting from mild to flaming hot. I tried each since I am not afraid of a little spice. Along with the taco , I tried the tree Leche and the churros. Both were delicious The tres leche was a good portion, moist, and flavorful. When you order the churros, you are provided a choice of a sauce to choose from (caramel, raspberry, chocholate). I tried the raspberry sauce and caramel. The churros also were filled with a creme. Both sauces paired well with the churros, but the raspberry sauce gives it an edge. There is ample parking in a lot since the restaurant is within a plaza that is shared with other food businesses and retail shops.

I just had the best tacos Ive ever had in the Usa. Handmade, made in house tortillas. Every sauce made in house. Quality ingredients. They may have beat all the tacos I've ever eaten in my many years I've spent off and on on Mexico. The agua fresco are made natural. All delicious. Horchata tasted creamy n light like coffee. The crazy fries were huge and the sauces fresh. The al pastor on it was tender and delicious. I tried every taco. The tortillas house made. All amazing. Best birtia I ever had. The nicest staff. Theres a cool open kitchen, open butcher concept. Free parking too Thank you.

I stopped in this spot for dinner. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and was greeted and served by Juan. I ordered: Hibiscus, Horchata, Limonada Cucumber, Jamaica, Pina, Sandia drinks Carne Asada Burrito Birria Tacos Loaded Fries Tres Leches I loved the Hibiscus drink, the fries, and the dessert! The dessert was a favorite! All in all, it was a great restaurant

I never had Birria tacos and decided to try them for the first time, here. Restaurant is very clean, the kitchen is visible and ability to see your food being prepared. The customer service is excellent the cashier answered all my questions as this was my first visit to this restaurant. The presentation of the food is good. I gave 4 stars due to the meat being tough. I would have liked more flavor in the meat. The consommé lacked flavor as well. I didn't taste the sides. I will visit this restaurant again and try different menu items.

Just Tacos in Garfield, NJ. I'm always craving Al Pastor Tacos and Just Tacos does them right! Everything is homemade here from the tortillas to the guacamole. Nothing beats an Al Pastor Taco made from freshly marinated pork. The meat is cut to order and nothing beats it! The lunch bowl is definitely worth checking out! It's filled up with rice protein veggies and it starts at $12.99. Everything is homemade here and you can def taste the difference-even the tortillas are homemade! I love that are BYOB and they make all of their jugo frescas from scratch...no shortcuts on everything! The service is amazing and everyone is so nice!

Love this spot! the food was amazing. We didn't get any hot cheetos on our elote but that was ok but didn't like that was online option. Birria was delicious. Place is a good spot for takeout but you can also sit down. Delicious regardless of where you enjoy it.

Wow, wow, wow Best tacos in Jersey. We had the carne asada, carnitas, birria, carne adobada, al pastor, pulpo, surf and turf and everything was delicious. The flavors super authentic. The meat super tender, shrimp juicy, the guac sauce and the toppings so good too. They make the tortillas on the spot. The guacamole was amazing too. The salsas they have are so good too. Please have one of their fresh aguas, we tried them all - you can't go wrong. This is our new fav mexican spot Thank you EDUARDO for making the experience do cool.

Very good tacos that are full of meat. A little expensive for what it is but since they are so full of meat they are worth it. Just would like a taco lunch to not cost $24. Tried the pastor tacos and they were some of best I've had and definitely the most filled. The mayo mahi taco was a little fishy but still very good and at $5 was a good price. The guy helping me was very nice. I think his name was chef Miko or something. They had a video of him dancing on taco Tuesday. There wasn't many people in there and it took a little longer than you would like waiting for tacos. I can't imagine how long it would have been if they were busy. I will definitely be back. Probably on taco Tuesday to see ake advantage if their great $3 taco deal.

By the time you finish reading this review, you should have added this spot to your bookmarks collection... yes, the tacos are that good! I popped in on a Tuesday night with one hell of an appetite. My order: *3 tacos: 1 carne asada (hanger steak), 1 carne adobada (marinated pork), 1 longaniza (sweet sausage)- Each taco is served with onion, cilantro, and avocado sauce. They also provide 3 different types of hot sauces at varying spice levels. Every single one was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Generous portions of well seasoned meat on fresh tortilla... yum, yum, yum! My favorite one was the carne adobada. *32 oz. Horchata drink $7- It's hard to find good horchata around here, but this place does it justice! I should have gotten the smaller size (16 oz) cause this bad boy was huuuuuge. If you're a fan of rice-flavored drinks, get this! *Churros $6- A straight forward dessert, but this hit the spot. Crispy, fluffy, and not overly sweet. Everything is made fresh to order, and you're able to see them prepare your food since they have an open kitchen. All of the employees here are incredibly welcoming and provide wonderful service. They checked on me every now and then to see if I was enjoying my meal and if I needed anything. You can tell they take pride in their business and food. The biggest downside is that the prices are pretty high. You're going to be paying almost $5-$6 for a single taco and $15-$20 for a burrito or quesadilla.

Best Mexican spot in NJ. I happened to be walking to another place to eat in the area and overheard people talking about this spot. I walked in and loved the ambiance of the restaurant. The menu is simple yet has everything you'd want when craving Mexican. I was greeted by Enrique who let me sample all of their homemade drinks. We ordered a ribeye burrito, birria tacos, mahi mahi tacos, shrimp tacos and ribeye tacos. They were all excellent. Even the tortilla is homemade and you can see them making it. The birria soup is full of flavor and they give you plenty to dip your birria tacos in. Highly recommend!

What a great places, interesting concept. Got their 3 individual tacos. All were tasty, my favorite was the pulpo, octopus tasted just the way I like it. They also gave a 4 different spicy sauces, those were also interesting.

I was craving tacos after spending $75 grocery shopping haha and decided to try a new spot I had seen. I got there an hour after opening, the spot was large and clean. I was greeted by the man at front and he was nice and welcoming, answered my questions too. I mentioned it was my first time there and he offered me a sample of the horchata which was delicious. I ordered 4 tacos, pulpo, carne asada, al pastor & carne adobada. They all came with onions, cilantro & an avocado sauce. The pulpo also had a pineapple avocado salsa which I thought would be too sweet by was not. On the side was radishes, lime, an onion bulb and a hot pepper. Caution that pepper is hot! Also came with 2 little sauces, red & green. I stayed away from the red but the green one was delicious! He did suggest I sit and eat there so they were hot & fresh but I had those dang groceries in my car haha My fav tacos were the carne & pulpo, I'll definitely try the other ones too and sit inside to eat to get the full experience. Overall I will be back, good food, good service.

There may be some of you that read that and think, "Ew. Tongue?" When done right, lengua is so tender and flavorful and Maya Mexican does it right. There is street parking so if you wait around long enough, you'll be able to get a spot. We had the birria tacos, al pastor, and lengua. We originally wanted to try the oreja and campechanos but they didn't have it that day. These are probably the best quesabirria tacos I've had in the area. I'm normally not a huge fan because it usually ends up being soggy, and I don't really like braised meat, as it tends to be dry. That wasn't the case here. The tacos were still crispy 20 minutes later, and the meat wasn't dry. It was stuffed to the max with beef and cheese. The broth was also very good and not watery like most other places tend to be. The al pastor tacos and lengua tacos were also very good. They're a bit smaller than similar taco spots in the neighborhood but it's quality over quantity here. If they added fresh pineapple to the pastor, it would have brought the taco over the top. I also enjoyed their homemade (sauces). They have a kick to it but be careful with the dark chipotle looking one. One drop of that, and you'll be good. Will definitely be back for some more tacos. Hopefully next time, they'll have the oreja and campechano.

Really good tacos, but everything else we ordered could have been better…read more First, finding Taqueria Los Gueros was a bit of a challenge as my GPS had no idea where it was because it was tucked to the side of Route 46 just before an overpass. It was, in my opinion, in an odd location to the side like some auto repair shop off the road. On the bright side, like most NJ establishments, there was a small parking lot in front of it. My wife and I decided to give Taqueria Los Gueros a try since the prices seemed reasonable and the menu looked good. Also, since they're part of a local chain, we figured they might have had some success in the past to have been able to expand. We decided to double up on our order and we both ordered 2 dishes each and would reheat one of them later in the day. Here's a quick list of what we ordered: - MEXICANOS TACOS, which was an order of 4 double corn tortillas w/ pico de gallo, avocado and any meat of my choosing - which I chose the chorizo and shrimp. - HALF CHICKEN (Chiltepin), which was spicy chicken with a side of rice, beans & torillas - CHILANGO BURRITO, with Al Pastor - STEAK AND ONIONS, served with a side of rice, beans & tortillas First, for the tacos, burrito and steak and onions, I lovvveeeed the fact that you could add some freebies in there, in the form of onions, cilantro and pineapple chunks. However, maybe the onions and cilantro should have come with it anyway? As for what we thought of the food? The tacos were definitely really good, specifically the chorizo meat. Honestly....it was up there with some of the best chorizo taco meat I ever had. It was very juicy and flavorful. Unfortunately, as good as the tacos were, everything else was meh. And, not good meh, as in a little above average, but bad meh, as in it could have been much, much better. The chicken from the half chicken and also the steak and onions were definitely on the dry side. In addition, flavoring could have been improved too. It seemed that they were both overcooked to the point where all of the flavors were drained from it. On top of it, the serving size of the rice and beans were really small. We absolutely could have used more of BOTH. If you're ordering from Taqueria Los Gueros, go with the chorizo tacos, but be cautious of meats that typically can be dry due to overcooking, like chicken or steak, because our orders were really overcooked. On the one hand, if you're worried about any raw meat, you don't have to worry here, but, if you want to be able to taste your food, in our case, steer clear of either. However, you'll definitely love the chorizo tacos!

I remember not being completely…read morehappy with it, but I couldn't remember the details and I thought, "ya know, people can change." And I wanted a burrito bowl. I was mistaken. I was too trusting. Ordered a chicken burrito bowl with added mozzarella cheese (+$2.99 my choice) and an al pastor taco. Sour cream is listed as an ingredient in the bowl and for me, burritos feel incomplete without sour cream. I actually would not have ordered it. There was NO sour cream and a tiny sprinkle of cheese. The pulled pork was terrible. I spit it out and tossed it. And too salty (I then remembered it was last time also). I also got 4 added sad little 4 avocado slices. The overdone soggy rice made it a little less dry though. Pico de gallo was mostly onions. I CALLED the restaurant. (It was through Grubhub) and they said "yea we don't have sour cream. Sorry." But it's on your menu "yea we don't have any right now" in a really fake apologetic tone not offering any solution. A customer should be contacted if an ingredient is missing and maybe comped the cheese, or at least add extra to compensate. Did they think I would not notice?" Grub Hub chat said I'd get a refund. So we'll see. SUMMARY: Skip this place. They need to tone down the salt and attitude. Low quality pulled pork.

I was blown away by how good their tacos were and knew i had to go back to their main location to see what's the word in flavortown. Tacos Al Pastor (9.4/10) - HOLY SHITTTT. This is arguably one of the best al pastor tacos i've had in my life (like top 10). The meat was reallyy juicy, the flavors were seeping out of that marinated meat. The pineapples were really well paired, cooked in a way that went beautifully with the pork. The tortilla, which happened to be different from the last time i got them, was still solidd. Overall all together this taco was formed elegantly and was so good i didn't even consider the sauces at first. (the sauces were buss af tho don't get me wrong). Birria Pizza (8.4/10) - The first time I got this pizza pizza, it came with a cute little mexican flag in the center. I was a little sad that it did not come with it this time :( The box came with a lovely abundant amount of limes, radishes, and cucumbers. It was all in a little baggie, I only wish the cucumbers were separated, they tasted sour because of the limes. The pizza was cut in 8 fairly sized slices, and did not hold back on the meats, but was just a little light on the cheese for my liking (I like cheese a lot). The tortllla was pretty decent and held its weight, I wish it had a little more of a bite to it, but that might just be on me for ordering a little too early (10 minutos). The meat was pretty good, nothing too crazy and about what i expect from eating birria meats. The cheese, although not plentiful, still was good and i love me some cheese (a cheese pull would've been so buss istg). These ingredients alone made for a fairly good experience, BUT what really brought it to the next level was the combination of each slice with a healthy fixing of radishes, lime juice, consome, and green sauce specifically. Consome (8.5/10) - For sure one of the better consomes i've had, it gave a very much needed moisture to the pizza pizza. They were so kind to give us not one but DOS CONSOMES CTM. The soup itself had its own great level of flavor, just the right amount of oiliness, meatiness, saltiness, and love. I was so happy to find that there was meat in the bottom of the cup, which slurped up oh so nice in my mouth ;) You know that shit when you could drink it by itself and not feel like your mouth is covered in salt crystals. Green sauce (7.6/10) - When you're used to green salsas being heavy on flavor and lighter on potency, it throws you off when you get a green sauce that flips the script! This sauce was still good and paired well with the tacos and even better with the pizza. On its own though you don't taste the typical green flavor immediately, you are met some spice at first ironically enough. Still a good sauce overall but I can definitely see it being better. Red Sauce (5.1/10) - Honestly I kinda tasted this one and put it away, I didn't really notice the flavors of it with or without the food, and only got a higher taste of spice than the green sauce. But also less flavor than the green one weirdly enough. (Esto si que es). Nopale (6/10) - The flavor was mild but alright, it had a nice crunch to it though. It didn't really pair with the tacos in my humble opinion, but i could see it pairing nicely with other dishes that have a rice and bean base. Green onion (7/10) - found it in my al pastor box, it was good, enough said. Overall in total I enjoyed my experience here once again, I would like to point out that the red sauce was different from the last times i've gotten, which was disappointing to find out because that og was fucking buss. But it did not take away from this meal, i enjoyed the tacos and pizza pizza a lot. The people are very generous with their serving sizes, additives, and maybe attitudes (we didn't really talk to the workers). I will be coming back for sure, next time i'm gonna try the burritos and get to the bottom of why people keep shitting on it, it's got me curious i gotta be deadass flavortown. I also saw them microwaving something, so that was another red flag. I was wondering why our total was $90, but I just figured maybe the menu prices were outdated? After all, $1 tacos (according to their menu) in this day and age does sound too good to be true. We ordered: 3 al pastor tacos, 1 chicken taco, 1 chicken tinga taco, 1 steak taco, al pastor quesadilla, chicken tinga quesadilla, grilled chicken platter, beef tostada, and quesabirria. It turns out that the quesadillas come with three per order, which wasn't specified because we definitely did not need three of each of these. Had we known, we would have ordered less food. None of it was very good. Everything kind of just tasted the same. A little bland, dry, and chewy. The tortillas in the quesadillas were also dry and chewy. I didn't even bother with the chicken from the grilled chicken plate because it looked really tough. Maybe that's what they were microwaving in the back. Nothing really tastes fresh and just tastes like they make one giant batch at some point and use it throughout the week. I really wanted to like this place and was hoping it would be our new go-to for tacos/Mexican but unfortunately, the entire experience just missed the mark by a long shot.
