This is the best bar I have ever seen and the outside has graffiti of a hive which makes sense because the name of the place is the hive after all

Drinks were good and food was pretty good but our service was just not great. Ordered wings and it came with sour cream instead of ranch. Had to ask her like 3 times for some ranch and all the food came out separately. Ranch came out about 40 minutes later with 1 wing left haha but 20% included tip felt steep especially with the service.

I always end up at this bar. The drinks are strong, the food is delicious and the music is always on point. It's a party. I got the chicken tacos but with shrimp, soo good! Always hits the spot. I recommend the tequila or vodka lemonade for drinks. It's small but quint, everyone seems to come back. Recommend for a good time with friends.

Came here with a few friends to celebrate a friend. We had apps and drinks. This is a cute place, great for friends or a simple date night. The later it gets they have a DJ but during the day it's regular music on the speakers. I went in a Thursday at about 6:30pm. Drinks: I had the bay breeze which was pretty good. Not very strong. I had two. Food: we ordered several small plates and shared everything which was just enough food for the four of us. It was a cute spot to meet up for happy hour and the prices are pretty inexpensive. Food was really good. Atmosphere: the music was a mix between hip hop/pop/top hits which was nice. The crowd was diverse- both in ages and in races which was also nice. This seems like a hole in the wall place but definitely a little hidden gem. Customer service: The waitress came over numerous times to clear the empty plates, ask if we needed anything, and to get us more drinks. She was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and very attentive. I will definitely be back!

Taco Tuesday at the Hive is where you want to be! But I'm sure any day will be just as great. They have happy hour specials as well as daily specials. Todays specials were perfect for Taco Tuesday! I highly recommend the crispy chicken tacos, Thai chicken tacos, and filet steak tacos. Aside from the tacos the beef & cheese empanadas were delicious! The vibes are also great and they have DJs on certain nights. I definitely can't wait to come back now that the weather is warmer! Staff is great and super friendly!

The Hive is definitely one of the bars I like to come to. I first visited them back in the summer of 2020. Even during pandemic this bar has always done very well handling COVID. Their outdoor patio is cozy and relaxing. The indoor is super cute and cozy too. Not too big, which is perfect for a chill vibe. I want to say this is now my 4th or 5th time coming and haven't been disappointed. Cocktails are delicious and strong. Their food is also quite tasty too. If you're looking for a great bar with strong drinks and mouthwatering food? Then you going to the hive is definitely the spot.

I love their shrimp tacos! All the food I've had from their seems to be fresh. We celebrated my friends birthday. Definitely recommend reserving a table if you have a group going. They have one bathroom per gender which was very inconvenient. The line for the ladies room held 10+ people at one point. If you don't care about that, their food and drinks are very good - music was on point too. On the weekend night, their parking lot gets filled so please be sure to get their early. 4 stars because of the bathroom situation.

They have shady billing so make sure to check your bill carefully!! My friend and I ordered sliders which were $10.95, fries $3.95, and 4 Long Island iced teas $11-$12 each. The bill should have been $62.85, and the mandatory 20% added tip $12.57. For a total of $75.42. Yet I was charged $82.26. AND...they still leave the tip line on the receipt so if you are the type of person who just signs the receipt and leaves a tip based on the total, you're tipping over 40%. The OG sliders were just ok, slightly over cooked and they only give you two. The fries were decent. The drinks were the best thing about this place. If you decide to go, just check your receipt!

I met up with a friend of mine to get drinks and a little bite. When I arrived I parked in their driveway. I walked into a small, cute bar and grill. I found my friend sitting towards a back table. Jaleen was our server and she was very nice and attentive. They have a good happy hour and I got the red sangria and my friend got a beer and empanadas. The sangria was good and my friend said the empanadas were ok. For my second drink I got the lemon drop martini and it was a bit sour but it wasn't bad. The bill was very reasonable and we did have a good time and will return.

Came here for the first time on Friday for happy hour and truly enjoyed myself. Looks older on the outside but completely modern & hip on the inside. My friend and I sat at the bar and took full advantage of their happy hour specials. The Food Here Is Amazing! Order their beef empanadas and chicken tacos; the ingredients made the flavors come together so well. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. We were told Tuesday and Friday nights are their most popular nights when they have a DJ spinning the tunes. I will definitely go back to check it out.

This place has great fresh food. Every ingredient screams delicious. They do not cheap on the Quality of proteins. Yes you will pay a bit more than you like for a taco, but it's delicious and fresh and worth every penny. Make reservations. They get packed.

Definitely order from here. I've never eaten at the restaurant but maybe I should. I can't imagine how much more amazing it would be if I ate it fresh out of the kitchen!

There is street parking so if you wait around long enough, you'll be able to get a spot. We had the birria tacos, al pastor, and lengua. We originally wanted to try the oreja and campechanos but they didn't have it that day. These are probably the best quesabirria tacos I've had in the area. I'm normally not a huge fan because it usually ends up being soggy, and I don't really like braised meat, as it tends to be dry. That wasn't the case here. The tacos were still crispy 20 minutes later, and the meat wasn't dry. It was stuffed to the max with beef and cheese. The broth was also very good and not watery like most other places tend to be. The al pastor tacos and lengua tacos were also very good. They're a bit smaller than similar taco spots in the neighborhood but it's quality over quantity here. If they added fresh pineapple to the pastor, it would have brought the taco over the top. I also enjoyed their homemade (sauces). They have a kick to it but be careful with the dark chipotle looking one. One drop of that, and you'll be good. Will definitely be back for some more tacos. Hopefully next time, they'll have the oreja and campechano.

Really good tacos, but everything else we ordered could have been better…read more First, finding Taqueria Los Gueros was a bit of a challenge as my GPS had no idea where it was because it was tucked to the side of Route 46 just before an overpass. It was, in my opinion, in an odd location to the side like some auto repair shop off the road. On the bright side, like most NJ establishments, there was a small parking lot in front of it. My wife and I decided to give Taqueria Los Gueros a try since the prices seemed reasonable and the menu looked good. Also, since they're part of a local chain, we figured they might have had some success in the past to have been able to expand. We decided to double up on our order and we both ordered 2 dishes each and would reheat one of them later in the day. Here's a quick list of what we ordered: - MEXICANOS TACOS, which was an order of 4 double corn tortillas w/ pico de gallo, avocado and any meat of my choosing - which I chose the chorizo and shrimp. - HALF CHICKEN (Chiltepin), which was spicy chicken with a side of rice, beans & torillas - CHILANGO BURRITO, with Al Pastor - STEAK AND ONIONS, served with a side of rice, beans & tortillas First, for the tacos, burrito and steak and onions, I lovvveeeed the fact that you could add some freebies in there, in the form of onions, cilantro and pineapple chunks. However, maybe the onions and cilantro should have come with it anyway? As for what we thought of the food? The tacos were definitely really good, specifically the chorizo meat. Honestly....it was up there with some of the best chorizo taco meat I ever had. It was very juicy and flavorful. Unfortunately, as good as the tacos were, everything else was meh. And, not good meh, as in a little above average, but bad meh, as in it could have been much, much better. The chicken from the half chicken and also the steak and onions were definitely on the dry side. In addition, flavoring could have been improved too. It seemed that they were both overcooked to the point where all of the flavors were drained from it. On top of it, the serving size of the rice and beans were really small. We absolutely could have used more of BOTH. If you're ordering from Taqueria Los Gueros, go with the chorizo tacos, but be cautious of meats that typically can be dry due to overcooking, like chicken or steak, because our orders were really overcooked. On the one hand, if you're worried about any raw meat, you don't have to worry here, but, if you want to be able to taste your food, in our case, steer clear of either. However, you'll definitely love the chorizo tacos!

I was too trusting. Ordered a chicken burrito bowl with added mozzarella cheese (+$2.99 my choice) and an al pastor taco. Sour cream is listed as an ingredient in the bowl and for me, burritos feel incomplete without sour cream. I actually would not have ordered it. There was NO sour cream and a tiny sprinkle of cheese. The pulled pork was terrible. I spit it out and tossed it. And too salty (I then remembered it was last time also). I also got 4 added sad little 4 avocado slices. The overdone soggy rice made it a little less dry though. Pico de gallo was mostly onions. I CALLED the restaurant. (It was through Grubhub) and they said "yea we don't have sour cream. Sorry." But it's on your menu "yea we don't have any right now" in a really fake apologetic tone not offering any solution. A customer should be contacted if an ingredient is missing and maybe comped the cheese, or at least add extra to compensate. Did they think I would not notice?" Grub Hub chat said I'd get a refund. So we'll see. SUMMARY: Skip this place. They need to tone down the salt and attitude. Low quality pulled pork.

I was blown away by how good their tacos were and knew i had to go back to their main location to see what's the word in flavortown. Tacos Al Pastor (9.4/10) - HOLY SHITTTT. This is arguably one of the best al pastor tacos i've had in my life (like top 10). The meat was reallyy juicy, the flavors were seeping out of that marinated meat. The pineapples were really well paired, cooked in a way that went beautifully with the pork. The tortilla, which happened to be different from the last time i got them, was still solidd. Overall all together this taco was formed elegantly and was so good i didn't even consider the sauces at first. (the sauces were buss af tho don't get me wrong). Birria Pizza (8.4/10) - The first time I got this pizza pizza, it came with a cute little mexican flag in the center. I was a little sad that it did not come with it this time :( The box came with a lovely abundant amount of limes, radishes, and cucumbers. It was all in a little baggie, I only wish the cucumbers were separated, they tasted sour because of the limes. The pizza was cut in 8 fairly sized slices, and did not hold back on the meats, but was just a little light on the cheese for my liking (I like cheese a lot). The tortllla was pretty decent and held its weight, I wish it had a little more of a bite to it, but that might just be on me for ordering a little too early (10 minutos). The meat was pretty good, nothing too crazy and about what i expect from eating birria meats. The cheese, although not plentiful, still was good and i love me some cheese (a cheese pull would've been so buss istg). These ingredients alone made for a fairly good experience, BUT what really brought it to the next level was the combination of each slice with a healthy fixing of radishes, lime juice, consome, and green sauce specifically. Consome (8.5/10) - For sure one of the better consomes i've had, it gave a very much needed moisture to the pizza pizza. They were so kind to give us not one but DOS CONSOMES CTM. The soup itself had its own great level of flavor, just the right amount of oiliness, meatiness, saltiness, and love. I was so happy to find that there was meat in the bottom of the cup, which slurped up oh so nice in my mouth ;) You know that shit when you could drink it by itself and not feel like your mouth is covered in salt crystals. Green sauce (7.6/10) - When you're used to green salsas being heavy on flavor and lighter on potency, it throws you off when you get a green sauce that flips the script! This sauce was still good and paired well with the tacos and even better with the pizza. On its own though you don't taste the typical green flavor immediately, you are met some spice at first ironically enough. Still a good sauce overall but I can definitely see it being better. Red Sauce (5.1/10) - Honestly I kinda tasted this one and put it away, I didn't really notice the flavors of it with or without the food, and only got a higher taste of spice than the green sauce. But also less flavor than the green one weirdly enough. (Esto si que es). Nopale (6/10) - The flavor was mild but alright, it had a nice crunch to it though. It didn't really pair with the tacos in my humble opinion, but i could see it pairing nicely with other dishes that have a rice and bean base. Green onion (7/10) - found it in my al pastor box, it was good, enough said. Overall in total I enjoyed my experience here once again, I would like to point out that the red sauce was different from the last times i've gotten, which was disappointing to find out because that og was fucking buss. But it did not take away from this meal, i enjoyed the tacos and pizza pizza a lot. The people are very generous with their serving sizes, additives, and maybe attitudes (we didn't really talk to the workers). I will be coming back for sure, next time i'm gonna try the burritos and get to the bottom of why people keep shitting on it, it's got me curious i gotta be deadass flavortown. One poor guy came in just after me to order a chicken soup and was still waiting there after I left - even though I'm sure their soup is already pre-made. I also saw them microwaving something, so that was another red flag. I was wondering why our total was $90, but I just figured maybe the menu prices were outdated? After all, $1 tacos (according to their menu) in this day and age does sound too good to be true. We ordered: 3 al pastor tacos, 1 chicken taco, 1 chicken tinga taco, 1 steak taco, al pastor quesadilla, chicken tinga quesadilla, grilled chicken platter, beef tostada, and quesabirria. It turns out that the quesadillas come with three per order, which wasn't specified because we definitely did not need three of each of these. Had we known, we would have ordered less food. None of it was very good. Everything kind of just tasted the same. A little bland, dry, and chewy. The tortillas in the quesadillas were also dry and chewy. I didn't even bother with the chicken from the grilled chicken plate because it looked really tough. Maybe that's what they were microwaving in the back. Nothing really tastes fresh and just tastes like they make one giant batch at some point and use it throughout the week. I really wanted to like this place and was hoping it would be our new go-to for tacos/Mexican but unfortunately, the entire experience just missed the mark by a long shot.

We were then told which I believe should've been the owner or manager we had to move to a different table and he'll give us a free margarita on the house. Our waiter arrived to wipe down the table because the table we were changed to was dirty and we put in a order for drinks and a appetizer and asked if she can come back in 5 minutes to take our main dish order. It took over 20 minutes to get our drink and our waiter quickly rushed away and this was the last interaction we had and got checked up on from this point. Keep in mind we got seated at 8:15 PM and we got our drinks around 8:45. From this point no one came up to us to put in our entree order and me and my date were starving and our waiter was serving others around us but was completely ignoring us and rushing away. Finally after 9:30 PM after more than 1 hour of not receiving our appetizer we put or nor our waiter putting in our main dish I asked for the check for the 2 drinks I ordered and left. Never have I ever gotten up from a restaurant table and left because of bad service and I been here at this spot couple times and even on holidays and never received this treatment. The manager then gave us complimentary appetizer and dessert but at this point I wanted to leave and did not even touch it. I shouldn't have to complain and ask for my check for you guys to finally give what I wanted. On top of that we never got the free drinks we were promised. Thanks agave for messing up my valentines date night, we ended up eating Wendy's 10 piece chicken nuggets and fries that were given to us in 2 minutes.
