It was my 2nd time ordered from here and it's been a few years. I remember not being completely happy with it, but I couldn't remember the details and I thought, "ya know, people can change." And I wanted a burrito bowl. I was mistaken. I was too trusting. Ordered a chicken burrito bowl with added mozzarella cheese (+$2.99 my choice) and an al pastor taco. Sour cream is listed as an ingredient in the bowl and for me, burritos feel incomplete without sour cream. I actually would not have ordered it. There was NO sour cream and a tiny sprinkle of cheese. The pulled pork was terrible. I spit it out and tossed it. And too salty (I then remembered it was last time also). I also got 4 added sad little 4 avocado slices. The overdone soggy rice made it a little less dry though. Pico de gallo was mostly onions. I CALLED the restaurant. (It was through Grubhub) and they said "yea we don't have sour cream. Sorry." But it's on your menu "yea we don't have any right now" in a really fake apologetic tone not offering any solution. A customer should be contacted if an ingredient is missing and maybe comped the cheese, or at least add extra to compensate. Did they think I would not notice?" Grub Hub chat said I'd get a refund. Really good tacos, but everything else we ordered could have been better. First, finding Taqueria Los Gueros was a bit of a challenge as my GPS had no idea where it was because it was tucked to the side of Route 46 just before an overpass. It was, in my opinion, in an odd location to the side like some auto repair shop off the road. On the bright side, like most NJ establishments, there was a small parking lot in front of it. My wife and I decided to give Taqueria Los Gueros a try since the prices seemed reasonable and the menu looked good. Also, since they're part of a local chain, we figured they might have had some success in the past to have been able to expand. We decided to double up on our order and we both ordered 2 dishes each and would reheat one of them later in the day. Here's a quick list of what we ordered: - MEXICANOS TACOS, which was an order of 4 double corn tortillas w/ pico de gallo, avocado and any meat of my choosing - which I chose the chorizo and shrimp. - HALF CHICKEN (Chiltepin), which was spicy chicken with a side of rice, beans & torillas - CHILANGO BURRITO, with Al Pastor - STEAK AND ONIONS, served with a side of rice, beans & tortillas First, for the tacos, burrito and steak and onions, I lovvveeeed the fact that you could add some freebies in there, in the form of onions, cilantro and pineapple chunks. However, maybe the onions and cilantro should have come with it anyway? As for what we thought of the food? The tacos were definitely really good, specifically the chorizo meat. Honestly....it was up there with some of the best chorizo taco meat I ever had. It was very juicy and flavorful. Unfortunately, as good as the tacos were, everything else was meh. And, not good meh, as in a little above average, but bad meh, as in it could have been much, much better. The chicken from the half chicken and also the steak and onions were definitely on the dry side. In addition, flavoring could have been improved too. It seemed that they were both overcooked to the point where all of the flavors were drained from it. On top of it, the serving size of the rice and beans were really small. We absolutely could have used more of BOTH. If you're ordering from Taqueria Los Gueros, go with the chorizo tacos, but be cautious of meats that typically can be dry due to overcooking, like chicken or steak, because our orders were really overcooked. On the one hand, if you're worried about any raw meat, you don't have to worry here, but, if you want to be able to taste your food, in our case, steer clear of either. Their fiesta packs may be some of the best deals around! We had both the Al Pastor Taco Fiesta Pack (30 tacos for $35) and the Fajita Fiesta Pack (40 fajitas for $45) with Steak and Chuleta. They were both delicious and definitely filling! All the meats were good but I'd say I liked the Al Pastor the best, and make sure to request some pineapple to go with it. The salsas were flavorful, and the onion/pepper salad is very spicy--loved it. For just a little over $1 for a taco or fajita, these fiesta packs are a fun family meal that we 100% enjoyed and recommend. Hope to order more! read more

Located off of Route 46 East in Saddle Brook, I passed this establishment every time going to work called Taqueria Los Güeros. It's part of an authentic Mexican fast-food chain restaurant. Upon arrival, Mexican folkloric music was being played at this quaint place with limited indoor seating and serves the typical tacos, burritos, platter combos but much more. I ordered the paisa burrito consisting of al pastor (spit-grilled pork) rice beans, onion & cilantro and accompanying the agua de jamaica (hibiscus iced tea). The warm meal was brought by the staff as the portion was huge enough for 2 people, well seasoned and came a few chips with the red and green salsa for dipping. All in all, the staff friendly, the price reasonable and place clean which I can recommend. read more

Good enough parking for 10 cars and off route 46 East but very uncomfortable seating once you go inside. Nicole, the waitress, at the counter was monotone and did not crack a smile. My wife ordered chicken tacos with corn tortillas, and a burrito bowl with more rice and less beans for me but disappointingly Nicole screwed it up. The chicken was bland and when I arrived home through the stormy weather I realized that there was absolutely no rice in my bowl! I called up the "store" and spoke to Nicole who said she would not give a refund but will redo the order if I return-in the storm and drive 20 minutes. You have got to be kidding me ?! I had to update my review. We were trying to find a good Mexican spot but of course on a Saturday it was an hour wait! So we decided to come here since it's so close to home! Ordered- chorizo nachos, and chicken tacos... the chicken was dry for me but the folks I was with Enjoyed it. I loved my chorizo nachos, it came with a big plop of guacamole and sour cream and that guac was life. I would come back to get their chorizo or even try their al pastor! The salsa bar is fantastic too, I normally like red but here i love their green Oh we also tried horchata which was good and churro which was excellent! It didn't bother me too much as it's a quick order and then you either sit inside or can take out. Place it clean and modern. I would not order the chips. Kind of a robbery. I think my boyfriend payed $4+ .. three dollars more you can order tacos. Plus, the "salsa" they give you is hot-spicy as all hell. My boyfriend and I had to go into the bathroom to swish water in our mouths. Not sure why it's being served as a salsa? On top of it not even being chunky. You can almost take it home and use it as a marinade for your next steak dinner. The other prices are fair though. I ordered the Chilango Alambres which came with grilled steak, pork chops, bacon, onion, jalapeño peppers and mozzarella cheese. It also came with 8 small flour tortillas. I frequent the Taqueria Los Gueros in Rutherford (and I LOVE it). My family lives in Saddle Brook so I thought I'd grab some for them to try... it was a MISTAKE. First of all, the girl at the register didn't look up from her phone or say hello until finishing her text, even when I was standing at the register. The sauce area was empty and what was left was warm. There was no cilantro. I had to ask for it and she gave it to me by the tiny container. The chips were STALE. And I even purchased a big bag because I loved the Rutherford ones. HUGE mistake. I ordered four soft tacos (half carnitas and half al pastor). The al pastor wasn't as tasty as the Rutherford location. The carnitas were sooooo oily. There was NO MEAT. ONLY FAT. I am Filipino and we live for pork fat but this was disgusting. The whole taco was fat! It's almost like chef got lazy and gave me all the fat scraps. The FAJITA was even WORSE. There was only FOUR (I counted) actual pieces of carnita pork meat and everything was solid fat. It was disgusting. Awful. I will be complaining in person or to the Rutherford location. I came here on a Wednesday, so I obviously opted for the 5 quesadillas - carnitas: so juicy and tender, extra cheesy just the way I like it. It could've used a little more salt but I was satisfied . Just because I was feeling extra unhealthy I also ordered the poblano alambre which literally is the best meat-centric dish topped with melted mozzarella cheese with a little slice of avocado and pick de gallo.
