I had the chicken and waffles. It was...okay. The chicken was good, but the waffle was fairly uninspired. And I'm all for bringing food when it's ready, but my breakfast came out a good ten minutes after my husband received his food. Speaking of which, he had a hamburger. Probably not what you should be ordering in a place known for waffles, but it was one of the most unappetizing slabs of ground beef I've ever seen. He doesn't eat the bun or add any condiments so the patty really needs to stand on it own - it failed spectacularly. Do not order a hamburger. read more

I love this restaurant!! Overall delicious. Great vibe and so cozy. One major issue with one topping noted below: Today I ordered bananas foster topping on my waffle. Previously when I have ordered this, it comes with a delicious caramel sauce and sliced bananas. Today, the sauce tasted like straight vanilla extract. No caramel or sugar to the taste. To quote my husband, it tasted like "a rubber tire." Doused in waffle sauce and syrup, it was only slightly better and the taste remained. The waitress told me they changed it to a "cheaper version" and you can tell. PLEASE return to whatever you used before, I would gladly pay extra for this. Call me high maintenance, but I don't know why anyone would order this topping as it stands. Maybe not very many people do, so it's a non-issue. In any case, I recommend the manager or whoever makes purchasing decisions to taste this disgusting stuff and reconsider. This non-withstanding, I would give this restaurant 5 stars. read more

Just Wafflin' is my favorite place to eat breakfast in Stillwater! My friends and I go every week!!! It is close to most things in Stillwater, and does not have a specific dress code-- which is great for college students!! The decor is cute and trendy! There are lots of fun quotes/sayings up on the wall. One of my favorite things about the inside is the big chalkboard wall that always has the schedule of OSU's sports teams that are in season. My "usual" is the waffle breakfast. Their bacon and sausage are great and the best way to get your waffle is with Nutella and mixed berries! The staff is very friendly, and the place is always clean! I wanted to rate this place highly. My friends ate here all the time told me how great it was, so I decided to try it. I was very unimpressed, the waffle was extremely drive yes it was better with a bunch of butter and syrup. The waffle was not for me, I got the southwest style omelette. We took visiting guests here recently and had an enjoyable breakfast. The kind waitress showed us the two largest tables to accommodate or group, and the great service didn't end there. Ordering is easy and food is delicious. I can't go very often or I'd have some health issues--this is fun food, not healthy food. Coffee refills were frequent and delicious. It looks like Just Wafflin' has won the hearts of Stillwater folks...when will they stay open all day and evening? read more

Not gonna lie thought this place would be better but when OSU B&B has more flavor? Yeah that's when I start to consider maybe this place isn't all that. Came here with my family and paid around $70 for a family of 4, bacon wasn't too bad but one side was just a little too burnt for my liking. The waffles just have no flavor, saddened to say but it's just bland and tasteless (no I don't have covid) for $5 a waffle you would expect some sweetness but no they just have a side of powdered sugar that barley helps. Honestly if you were to get something get a Kodiak cup for $1.78 and make that if you want some flavor in your waffles. read more

Absolute gem if you're looking for breakfast in Stillwater. Excellent, friendly service. I got a traditional waffle with scrambled eggs and sausage. Sausage was good quality and cooked just right with a slight char on the outside but still moist. Eggs were fantastic, silky smooth...only complaint was a slight bit salty. The waffle was the star. My girlfriend and I visited Just Wafflin the first week it opened, and the food was nothing short of incredible and a couple times after that (Mostly before those early game days). I had their Banana Fosters Waffle with the sweet peppered bacon and it was fantastic. My girlfriend had the All American burger which was cooked perfectly, and tasted just as perfect. Recently, we discovered that the burger is unfortunately no longer on their menu, along with about half of their original options having disappeared. Why get rid half of your menu options that seemed to be well thought out and tasted great? To me, this is typically a sign of a failing restaurant. Besides the removal of half the menu, Just Wafflin has a few other issues that have impacted my decision to not give them my business. On two separate occasions I have tried to order food to go. The first time was on a Saturday, I was told by staff that "We don't do To go orders on Saturday", um okay that's a little strange and annoying considering I was in the restaurant. I then tried to make a second attempt to make a to-go order, but this time on a Friday, I called the restaurant and was told "We don't do to go orders over the phone." Cool, so you're open only til 2PM from Tuesday-Saturday. You basically won't do to go orders, and half your menu has disappeared in 6 months of being in business? I'd be surprised if your restaurant makes the 1 year mark, definitely don't seeing 2 years. Also if you didn't know Sunday is the most popular day for Brunch, especially in the Midwest and among college students, you know your largest demographic in Stillwater. read more

Great service, you order before you sit down. Great chocolate chip waffle! The syrup is a little watery but if you are into that, then it's fine. The sausage and eggs were a little small, but honestly the waffle fills you up so much that it turns out to be just enough for your stomach. The food is amazing and be sure you try the blonde syrup!!!! We are so glad that you have opened again! However, we think that it would be more Covid-19 friendly if you would seat people and then go to their table to take their order rather than asking your guests to go back up to the counter when ready to order. We were finally able to check this place out, and while it was good, we're unlikely to return. I had chicken and waffles with fries - the waffle was delicious (I had the regular waffle sauce, which tastes like maple and butter), and the chicken was really good - the breading actually stays on it when you cut it, and it wasn't overly salty. I did not like the fries - they were good for a few bites, but really rich and salty with a cloying cheesy flavor that made them really heavy. (My husband agreed.) I would skip the fries if you're getting fatty/carby food like chicken and waffles, as it all hit my stomach like a ton of bricks, and I couldn't finish my portion of anything. My husband had the pulled pork waffle with breakfast potatoes. He liked the waffle and pork, but didn't care for the slaw or breakfast potatoes (they were soft and bland). Overall, we found the food to be well-executed (aside from the potato dishes), but thought it was way too heavy compared to other brunch spots in town. We're also not in love with the odd opening hours or the creepy religious vibe of the place, and were disappointed by the fact that they don't accept American Express, so we will patronize other places instead. If you don't mind ODing on butter, are off work on weekday mornings or willing to wait in line on Saturdays, don't care about your AmEx rewards, and aren't put off by a business that advertises their religion on the door, then I think you'll enjoy this restaurant a lot. The food was great. I had the Waffle Ranchero and it was supper yummy. The breakfast potatoes were phenomenal, unfortunately they were not very warm. But aside from yummy food I was not impressed. The service here was not good. The wait staff treated me and partner poorly. A couple people in particular had bad attitudes and were rude. I don't want to generalize the whole wait staff.. I'm sure some of them are very kind people but my personal experience at this establishment left a bad impression. read more

Walk into this place today with my wife for a late breakfast. Interesting concept where you grab your own menu by the door. Once you decide what you want you walk up to the cash register and pay. Oh by the way coffee is only $1.00 on Wednesdays. Their specialty is waffles if you could not tell by the name. I got the waffles breakfast (many styles of waffles to choose from). I got the pecan waffle with two eggs (over easy) of course and two strips of bacon. Simply delicious! They bring your food on a prison tray with a paper towel style insert. I get it. Keep the cost down on GOOD FOOD and pass the savings on to the customer. Great concept. If I had a real complaint (which is minor) it would be the silverware and coffee creamers. I am a sucker for real cream in my coffee. The silverware is something to be desired, but again I get it, the attention is paid to the food at this place. My wife order waffles Florentine. Eggs, spinach, onions, mushrooms, and cream. Again delicious. Customer service was above par. Hometown atmosphere. If you are in Stillwater this is a must stop for breakfast. Skip Denny's please. If you're not familiar with Stillwater, here's the basic timeline most businesses here seem to follow: They open, and they're pretty good (or, in the case of Just Wafflin', amazing), but then they get customers complaining about the prices, or maybe they just get complacent. As a result, they start buying cheaper ingredients, skimping on recipes, and their quality slips... sometimes they become mediocre, other times they just become horrible. For example, Blue Spruce's gelato used to be incredible. Now they have seeds in their chocolate gelato, a result of not fully cleaning the machines. When you mention this to them, they just say "yeah, that happens sometimes," and shrug you off. When a business undergoes this transformation, we say it is "Stillwatered-down." Now on to Just Wafflin'. I never expected a breakfast place this good to open in Stillwater. They serve their freshly (and perfectly)-made waffles with actual maple syrup (not the cheap syrup you'll find in other places), as well as their delicious own waffle sauce. Their savory waffles are amazing. The Waffle Florentine, though probably about 3 x 10^43 calories, is one of my favorite breakfasts of all time: it's basically a spinach omelet with herb cream cheese on top of a waffle; the flavors from the omelet then seep down into the waffle, making it a perfect vehicle for these savory taste sensations! They offer other waffle batters, too. Probably my favorite is the Jalapeño Cheddar Cornmeal, which is just as delectable as it sounds. If you're in the mood for a savory waffle but believe the Waffle Florentine may be too filling/heavy, I recommend getting a Jalapeño Cheddar Cornmeal waffle, along with their red chili sauce. These flavors compliment one another perfectly, making a not-too-heavy breakfast that has a tex-mex feel to it. So, I feel obligated to say the following to the owners / managers / employees of Just Wafflin': Please, please, please, don't change! Sure, you'll have townies complaining to you about price, you'll notice that lower-quality ingredients can mean extra profit margins, and you may even sometimes feel that your customers don't fully appreciate the effort and love you put into your food. But please, please, please don't substitute the real maple syrup with brown-colored corn syrup, don't change the eggs to carton-borne egg substitute, and don't exchange your Intellegentsia-brand coffee for a cheaper generic roast! In short, don't let your wonderful restaurant become Stillwatered-down. You're perfect just as you are! read more

I have always wanted to go to Just Wafflin because I heard great things! The line was a little long, but it was worth the wait. The food was incredible, however you can see them making the food. With that being said none of the cooks wear gloves. This really bothered me especially when I saw one man grab cooked bacon with his bare hands and place it on a platter to be served. I would just request that the cooks wear gloves especially when people can watch them make the food. If I wouldn't have noticed that I probably would have enjoyed my delicious meal more. read more

My qualms with just wafflin lie not in the quality of the food, but rather the quality of the staff... and more specifically the range of quality of the staff. In my extensive experience with this restaurant- beginning with good experiences followed by steady deterioration- the management staff is in fact the least quality of the group. Nearly everyone else in the restaurant is an incredibly hard worker, completing their assigned tasks with diligence day in and day out. The managers on the other hand treat their staff very poorly. This is easily visible in this open style restaurant, and it is enough of a turn off that I won't be returning. read more
