this spot is going to be a place that no matter how many times i end up in stillwater, i'm going to check out pickleman's. my partner & i were on the move while finishing up a graduation, we wanted something quick. we came here right on time because right after our order, it started getting busy! i went with the #12 aka the smokehouse stack, the 1 of 3 pulled pork sandwiches that are on the menu. i usually go the bbq route, i switched it up as this sandwich has (housemade) chipotle ranch, pulled pork, smoke bacon, provolone cheese & lettuce. you can make the sandwich the way it is on the menu or you can jazz it up & with that being said, i added pickles & cucumbers (no onions). i got a small, which was a pretty good size, & made it a combo. the sandwich simply got the job done. i got a good amount of everything that came with the sandwich (& of course what i added). the chips on deck were kettle chips (my favorite kind of chips) & i went with the hickory bbq (there were around 4-5 different flavors to choose from). to drink, they have a strawberry lemonade that tastes like candy, not in a bad way. i'd get it over & over again. all of the employees were super nice & friendly. they had me wanting a pizza (another thing they offer) while waiting on our orders & that's something i'd want to try next visit. you can add your phone number at the register to get rewards points. on top of that, as first visit, i had a $5 discount that went towards my order from adding my number. good experience all around. read more

I had a really disappointing visit to Pickle Men's. I wanted to order from their kids menu because I was looking for a smaller portion, but the staff immediately judged me and scoffed, saying the kids menu is only for 12 and under. I tried to be polite and just went along with it. Then, when I went to get a water cup, I was followed and harassed by a woman who looked very unprofessional and even told me it would cost three dollars for the water. The whole experience was uncomfortable and rude. Definitely not a place I'd recommend if you want respectful service or a relaxed atmosphere. read more

Pickleman's is so f-ing good and I definitely think the staff / food need more grace and credit but that's extremely hard to do when you say you close at 3 AM but lock your doors at 2, with no line. Then kick out people who are more than willing to probably pay double the price for a sandwich in that moment. Kinda shady and super annoying. Maybe change your hours online if you don't feel like following those practices in person. Two words...don't go. I got the tuna. It was bland at best. Nothing against the staff. They're doing their job. Back to the tuna. The bread is ciabatta lettuce and tomato. Ordered the southwest salad to go. Got home and opened it and the lettuce and spinach was rotten. The entire salad was slimy and stunk. It's happened 2 times now where I've ordered a sandwich online and had custom add ons like adding pickles, spinach, etc. and they've forgotten to put on not only the add ons but also what comes originally on the sandwich. So, instead of getting a full sandwich like I ordered I got a sandwich with half of what originally comes on it and half of the add ons I chose. In all reality, the food is good but overpriced especially considering the size of the sandwiches and of the pizzas. I was very excited to try this new addition to Stillwater, and so far, the food has not disappointed me. The pepperoni pizza is my favorite so far. But, never go on game day. The restaurant with 10+ employees behind and around the counter was not welcoming at all, and with less customers than there were employees there was a lot of standing around and mouthing off. The cashier mumbled my total and broke change for a larger bill than necessary after I tried to correct the amount given to her. I'm extremely disappointed. To top it off, they charged automatic gratuity (which they did not earn with that service) just for it being game day. read more

From Oct 25- They still seem to be in training. There had to be 10 people standing in the prep line. The ones who knew what they were doing were surly. No one smiled or acted glad to have customers or to be there. Those in training looked afraid and uncertain. The smell of burning food lingered in our clothing. Salad was great. Had half an Italian. It had lots of meat and veggies. And the price was right at $5.79. My husband had the Italian sub. He thought the sandwich was tasty, but pretty small- not a good deal for $7.29. They just about refused to put any veggies on it. He told them no tomato and asked for extra onion and the woman put one single round on it. It was very drippy but not soggy. I don't recommend the 'pick 2 combo'. The price is figured by upcharging the price of the 2 items you select. A half salad and half a meatball sub (no more than 3 inches long) was $10.40. If you want a combo go to McAlisters. They'll give you more food, better quality for a couple dollars less. Finally, hard to believe but a restaurant with the word pickles in the name charges almost $2 for a whole pickle. read more
