I had a very difficult HVAC problem on my 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost with dual-zone automatic…read moreclimate control. The driver's side would only blow cold air when the heat was on. Another Ford dealership had previously replaced the driver's side blend door actuator under warranty, which seemed to fix the issue for a while, but the problem eventually returned. When the issue came back, Green Ford was able to get my car in the same day without an appointment, while another dealership couldn't even look at it for over a week. That alone made a huge difference. After diagnosing the problem, they determined that the HVAC assembly needed to be replaced. Instead of pressuring me into an expensive repair, they waived the diagnostic fee and encouraged me to get a second opinion. They even let me take the car at no charge so I could have another shop verify the diagnosis. I took it to an independent repair shop, Randall's Tire & Auto Repair, where an experienced technician spent time diagnosing the system. He independently came to the same conclusion after replacing an actuator, clearing fault codes, and physically verifying that an internal blend door inside the HVAC housing had failed. That gave me confidence that Green Ford's diagnosis was accurate. When I returned to Green Ford, James Monteleone honored the original drive-off price we had discussed--$3,500 out the door with no surprise taxes or shop fees added later. They also gave me an additional credit because the independent shop had already replaced one of the actuators that would have been replaced during the repair anyway. Their warranty on this repair is also excellent: 2 years with unlimited mileage on both parts and labor, which provided peace of mind on such a major repair. After the HVAC assembly replacement, I noticed a problem with the airflow mode door. Instead of making excuses, James immediately acknowledged that it wasn't operating correctly. The dealership diagnosed a faulty mode door actuator, ordered the replacement part, and replaced it at no charge under warranty. While the car was back in the shop, I also mentioned that my sunglasses holder no longer opened. They found it had simply come off track and repaired it without any issue. I also asked them to check why the ventilated seats had stopped working. Their technician performed additional diagnostics, documented the problem with photos, identified a burned electrical connector and an offline climate seat control module, and provided me with a detailed estimate. They were transparent about what they found, and I appreciated knowing exactly what the issue was even though I decided to postpone that repair. Throughout this entire process, James kept me informed, answered my questions, arranged transportation when needed, and treated me with professionalism and respect. On a repair this large and complicated, good communication makes all the difference. No one enjoys spending thousands of dollars on a major repair, but when it became clear that my Mustang needed an HVAC assembly, Green Ford handled the situation the right way. They welcomed a second opinion, stood behind their work, honored their pricing, took care of follow-up warranty issues without hesitation, and earned my trust throughout the process. I especially want to thank James Monteleone for his excellent customer service and communication. If you have a difficult HVAC or climate control problem on your Ford, I would not hesitate to recommend Green Ford's service department.

The problem was not fixed and they didn't even do the oil change that I requested. Also their phone system is awful with the AI. Way into my search after looking at a few car I saw an online listing for a Mazda3s for sale in Black along with a few pictures.. The listing did not say much, but it had a phone number, and said to call for more information. I called the number and reached a Mr. Ben Miller. We talked for a while briefly over the phone, and he told me whatever I asked about the car. Now this is where the excellent service part comes into place. I told him about my schedule over the next few days, and he said that if he had the car he would meet me early Sunday morning if I wanted to take a look at the car. We all know that car places are closed on Sunday., so that was great. But since it was a nice car, and I wanted to take a look at it before somebody bought it, I made a crazy suggestion, that if he wanted I could take a look at it after school, and I finished with other stuff, and 10 PM. What do you know, agreed. I was kinda shocked to that part. I drove from Raleigh to Greensboro late at night and he met me at his office late at night. He was just one of the nicest car sales person you could ever meet. So we test drove the vehicle, and it handled well, was clean on the inside, and appeared to have been painted on the outside. We went inside and talked numbers, then I agreed to purchase the vehicle. While he was filling out all of the paperwork he told me about some of the things that he did. One thing he can do is buy cars and sell them to you. Not exactly a broker, but similar from my understanding. This is how it works from what I can remember: 1) You specify the exact car you want, make, model, color, options, etc., and he finds it for you. 2) He goes to the dealer and buys it way cheaper than a normal person can. Way below invoice, and what the dealer is actually paying the car manufacturer for it. 3) Then he sales/leases you the car, are a low price. 4) You drive away happy and become a loyal customer for the future. All in all I would recommend buying a car from Miller Auto Sales in the future, and I think it is even worth the drive from Raleigh to Greensboro, or whatever part of town you are from to get a car from him. After all, who doesn't want to save a ton of money.

I think that's his strategy-- he takes a condescending tone with his customers in the hopes of pressuring them into a sale. If you decide to buy something, go in with confidence and don't let him play any games with you. Personally, I decided that it wasn't worth buying a car from someone who couldn't show me respect.

My experience buying a car from this Carmax was a mixed bag to be sure. This isn't my first time…read morebuying through a Carmax. It's a fine option for a person who doesn't really need to be "sold" a car, rather someone who has done all their own research on what they want to buy, has a price in mind, and just wants to go get it without too much hassle. There are some advantages to buying here, like the ability to bring it back within 10 days for a full refund, and not having to haggle. If you like the price, you buy the car, if you don't, you move on. Disadvantages of course, are pretty much that the salesman is not super motivated to sell you a car, and is therefore not going to be very knowledgeable about whatever car you roll up about and want to look at. This is fine for me, I knew what I wanted, and I got it. It wasn't without difficulty however. The specific car I wanted had to come in from Georgia, which I paid a transfer fee for. It was supposed to take 3-5 days, it ended up being over 2 weeks. This left us short a car for awhile, as we had already given up the other car based on their timeline. They did refund the transfer fee, so that made it partially right, but I say this to not take their word on their timelines. My second complaint, is that the transaction took WAY TOO LONG inside Carmax, especially given I had already filled out most paperwork in advance. The person helping us seemed pretty new, and she kept having to get up and ask other associates questions. She also was not very observant, we were pointing out things on the screen that she was missing. She really should have had someone looking over her shoulder to help, as she was not ready to be on her own. Finally, it's a good thing I advocated for myself and knew to check for certain things. Our new car is a plug in hybrid, and the car was supposed to come with a charging cable. It was not in the car anywhere, but with a little persistence they gave me one from their service center. Carmax does do a thorough inspection on the cars they sell, and actually, the independent shop I brought the car to said they've not had many problems with Carmax missing things. In my case that held true, their Volvo certified mechanic found nothing wrong with my car mechanically, and said it appears to have been well maintained and serviced. He did find a very small windshield chip, which Carmax fixed free of charge without any complaint. Would I buy another car from Carmax? I would, but I am someone who just needs someone to facilitate the transaction, I'm savvy enough to know the car on my own and do my own research. I wouldn't recommend Carmax as a place for the inexperienced buyer.

We found our car experience to be very pleasant with no pressure. No haggling, we were both that close on expectations. It was true relationship building for the long-term. We worked with Ian Newton, a perfect fit for us. We thought we wanted the GX platform. Too big at this stage of our life. But it rides nice! The RX looked like it was going to make the cut. Great ride, but we needed a little bigger for Tabitha---our dog. This platform will become Tabby's Cabby. We are picking up our TX350 later today. It has all the reasonable bells and whistles we need. The flexibility makes it safe for all of us during our longer rides. The new technology can be overwhelming. And this is where your knowledgeable sales consultant makes the deal: Ian has been amazing demonstrating how to maximize this product to our mission. We both have enjoyed working with him to identify the right vehicle to satisfy safety and comfort. We met Ryan after we made our decision. He is very knowledgeable with the product. I liked our "fact-based" price discussions. He "sold" us with the Service Department. His words: "You will spend more time with our service department over the years than with us." A very true statement. I have my own great mechanic team; however, there is a lot of value (many times really required for warranty compliance) in having a dedicated service team that is good with their craft. If you are thinking about a Lexus, get on Ian's schedule to help you with your next car.
