Dr. Lynott changed my life. I've been suffering from left sided lower back pain for over 5 years, then I had an injury that made everything worse. After the very first session I began improving. This is a really great place. I reviewed before about how I didn't trust chiropractors prior to coming in for my first visit, but Dr. Lynott completely changed my perspective by explaining they offer structural support & alignment. After my second visit, I completely got rid of the constant urge to crack my neck. Dr. Lynott says he hears this often as a result of visits. First of all, it's dangerous because I don't know what I'm doing and could be doing the wrong thing. Secondly, Dr. Lynott mentioned the scenario where you feel like you need to crack your neck, but it doesn't, so you keep trying - this is a recipe for disaster that can cause more injury than relief. I came in for my fourth appointment after I had a) started running daily on an incline & developed ankle pain b) spent 10 vacation days walking all over Chicago - only opting for my gym sneakers the last 2 days & c) started a 10 day adoption trial of a large border collie/pit mix that means I've been on my feet a LOT A LOT A LOT. He aligned my feet and they feel so much better, on top of the neck & upper & lower back. I also had a situation where my dog bee-lined for a squirrel & I flew in the air and then turned in the air and landed on my neck & back. My neck & back were very stiff but today (one day after my appointment), I am feeling soooo much better. He suggested specific insoles (the same ones he wears) to use with my shoes for better arch support, since I already have elevated slip-on walking shoes & comfortable running shoes. They were $36 on Amazon for my size. Since I'll continue walking like a madman, he said if the foot issue doesn't improve I should visit a podiatrist. I have been coming to Dr. Lynott's office since 2015, I want to say. I will usually go in for routine ADJUSTMENTS, and every now and then I would pull something or bend the wrong way and he would get me back into shape. Dr. Lynott eased the compression on my back, neck and shoulders. My neck and shoulders get tense due to work and other stressors. I would get hooked up to a machine that would gently DECOMPRESS my neck by pulling it by a band that cradles the back of my head. It feels so good... I can feel the muscles from my neck and those that extend to the center of my back get pulled. Very satisfying feeling. One of my fav pre-adjustment therapies is the roller bed. I like this more than the hydro massage bed. I have had ACUPUNCTURE done by Lisa, also. So, today I went to my appointment after leaving the gym. SORRY! I was a hot mess. She hooked it up. Pinned me from the neck down to my waist, and down to the heels of my feet. Attached the pins to a machine that sent vibrations through the pins to get my muscles going. She set me under a heat lamp and let me bake peacefully to the sounds of flutes and running water. Lastly, Lisa was kind enough to let me bug her for a last minute CUPPING. She told me cupping is usually done in conjunction/tandem with the acupuncture... and I know why, now. My back was tender, but I wanted to give it a go. Plus, it's a whole session in itself. Results were good. I'm feeling less tension on my back and it's gotten my blood circulating. Will def go again for another round soon. TIP: Do not go immediately after hitting the gym. I was still sweating and all the linings used to cover the bed and face stuck to my body. They have gowns available for acupuncture. Sorry, Lisa. read more

The first visit is 5 stars and subsequent visits went down from there. The attention and care provided in the first visit for my messed up shoulder were great. The follow ups I got the impression they had no idea why I was there and adjusted my spine which was not the issue. The third visit I waited for over an hour with an appointment and it seems like their late afternoons are overbooked frequently. Book a morning appointment and make sure to remind them why you are there so they don't hurt an injured area with adjustments. read more

This review is LONG overdue, but I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lynott and his team. I have been seeing Dr. Lynott for over 10 years (since I was about 19) and always have felt so comfortable working with him. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and takes the time to listen to what the concerns or issues are in order to personal the treatment & approach for your care. One of the main issues I was encountering when I first started seeing Dr. Lynott was migraines (2 or 3 a month at minimum, started when I was about 12) and due to the treatment I received, I am down to 2 or 3 a year at the absolute worst and have had years where I didn't have a single migraine. I moved up to the Bay Area 2 years ago and still make an effort to see Dr. Lynott whenever possible when we're back in SoCal, as I have yet to find a DC up here that even comes close to comparing to Dr. Lynott. Even when it's been a few months since the last time I saw him, he can easily identify where I need the most help and suggests things I can work on on my own to help improve my ailments. He has even has spoken with me from time to time as I've struggled to find a DC in my current area, helping to provide advice on suggestions I'm getting in terms of treatment from current DCs. I also love that there are a variety of pre-adjustment therapies offered here (muscle stim, ultrasound, roller table, etc.), which has been very difficult to find in NorCal. He also offers extremely reasonable cash rates, should your insurance copay be expensive or you do not have insurance. He also is great about asking about what's going on in my life and remembers things I've told him previously and will ask about them in future visits. Lastly, his entire staff are also all wonderful, kind & patient. They make you feel at home in the office and never make you feel bad if you have to reschedule or ask for a specific pre-adjustment treatment. If anyone ever asks me for a chiro recommendation in the Long Beach area, I always recommend Dr. Lynott and hope to be a consistent patient again in the years to come when we make our way back down to SoCal. read more

Doctor Lynott is a grade-A chiropractor that cares about his patients and goes the extra mile. His staff is supreme. While have not had a massage there I would think that he would surround himself with the same level of focus that he has. Doctor Lynott has been treating my back since he interned with my original chiropractor, Doctor Conrad. He has a lot of good equipment at his disposal in the office to get you back up and moving. I cannot say for sure, but I believe keeping my spine in alignment is what helped me cure the wound on my leg. Cannot say enough about this doctor. There was a time that I went in because I had been doing some intense gardening and throughout my ankle. He adjusted my ankle, and it was tinder for a couple of days but in good shape. Dr. Lynott works magic! I threw out my neck one week before leaving for Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. I had absolutely no range of motion and was in terrible pain. Horrible timing for an expensive non refundable trip! Dr Lynott's office fit me in 3 times that week for acupuncture, ultrasound, and adjustments. Thanks to Dr. Lynott and staff, I summited Mount Kilimanjaro with out a problem! Now two months later, I managed to get myself in a bike accident yesterday where I flew over the handlebars into the street. I checked him out on Yelp, and decided to give him a try. I am sure glad I did! Dr. Nate Lynott is a very friendly, personable and professional guy. He reminds me of a sports medicine chiropractor that I used to go to about 25 years ago in Costa Mesa. I used to absolutely love that guy, he was the best, and now it looks like I found a chiropractor just like him. Nate and his staff are all very friendly, they are patient, they ask a lot of questions, and they listen to your answers. They spend the time getting to know you, and they spend the time getting to know what you need, and what works for you. I am absolutely thrilled that I found Lynott Chiropractic! When my original sports medicine chiropractor sold his business, I went to a couple of other chiropractors, and they were just in it for the money, they did not really care for their patients.
