Since I'm stuck inside with no end in sight (thank you Ige and Caldwell you indecisive clowns), I figured I might as well use all this time on my hands to see if I can get a better mortgage rate. I shopped around and got several quotes, and found Castle and Cooke to be most competitive. Lowest rate for zero points and lowest closing costs. I talked with some weird people at other companies while gathering quotes (one person told me, "you'll just have to trust me, I'm not going to have time to consult with you every step along the way... oh and btw I'm interviewing you to see if I want to work with you"- creepy). Another person told me they'd give me credits towards closing, only to find their closing costs were inflated enough to cover the credits they offered (sneaky). Another person kept telling me how the quote would in no way guarantee the rate once we locked it in and it could vary wildly (sketchy). With Ric, I had none of those creepy, sneaky, sketchy experiences. He's a straight shooter, honest and nice guy. He took the time to explain to me everything in an easy to understand manner. He answered all my questions in a timely manner. He was organized and kept the process moving and kept me updated along the way. I felt at ease and comfortable with him on my refi journey. Had to move as I was getting sick. They let us out of lease but charging us 1 week pro rated rent after not holding to his contractual obligations as a property.Only cares about the money as with every repair request he responded with trying to get rent or more money and not being accountable when we were withholding to try and do repairs since he neglected , the last thing we should have to worry about.Came down to him keeping a lot of our deposit when the ethic professional as well as humanitarian thing to do is care about your tenants health and work with them to fix problems and not be a slumlord and care about the money and nothing besides that. Glad we're out of the Kalia Inc Condos as Ben and ORPs have been horrible and I've never left a bad review before on a landlord or property company as well as the condo association and them work together to get people in there and flip units fast, despite the horrific conditions that they try and hide from potential tenants. Thank you for the " saving face and trying g to not loose business response to our review" however please look below and any potential customers can see our lease maintenance portal screen shots of the time that went by that nothing was fixed: you can't cover this one up Ben . He assisted me in finding this condo which was challenging given that I could not afford to purchase any high priced fee simple property. Having lost my past home to a short sale in California in 2011. Being able to purchase this condo on my own meant so much to me. It was not an easy process purchasing a condo for the first time. He helped me search for condos that were priced well which took some time and was challenging due to the heavy competition from other buyers who would purchase properties in cash which I didn't have the means to do. Mr Eger was very patient in diligently searching for fee simple condos within my price range.  One seller did not disclose, the history of a recently deceased resident. Mr Eger found out this history from reading the condo documents and informed me which I am relieved to have had that information making the decision not to purchase it. I would not have been happy to find out that fact after purchasing. There were so many condo docs to read through. Mr. Eger helped me every step of the way. Plus it was not easy having to travel to and from the mainland to view possible properties. After finally finding the right condo within my budget, I had a wonderful year in Hawaii. I unfortunately had to sell my condo due to financial concerns. Mr. Eger went over and beyond his duty as a Listing agent by helping me with repainting my 2 bdrm 1 bath condo. This was a very difficult task due to the left over popcorn ceiling on the edges of each room. He did a wonderful job when it was completed. As soon as, I informed Mr. Eger that I wanted to sell. He took pictures right away so that we could list it. The speed and efficiency of the process to getting the condo listed on April 8th, finding a buyer on April 9th and getting an offer on April 10th was within a matter of "3 days". I was truly amazed! I flew back from California on April 17 to pack up the items I had left , dispose and gave away furniture and other kitchen supplies. Mr. Eger dismantled my queen size wood bed frame in a record breaking 10 min. He then hired professional cleaners that very day I arrived and was able to show the condo the next day to the buyer on April 18th. He had thoroughly explained pricing strategies, contracts and addendums, meanwhile getting inspections done, ordering condo docs, negotiating with the buyer through their agent during the escrow process. All these detailed work behind the scenes were completed so smoothly and efficiently. It was quite impressive. He went above and beyond again, by helping me clear out remaining items from the paint job and helping to clear other remaining leftover items in the condo which was difficult due to a non-functioning elevator. So he had to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs. I'm sure I wasn't his only client during all this time. He literally works 16 hours a day 7 days a week. I know this because I would ask questions from early morning 8am and sometimes late at night (12 am). He manages his Real Estate and Property Management business , He also teaches a real estate course for future agents.
