First off, I read that this mechanic had very good reviews on NextDoor in regard to working on Subarus and Volvos. Carl, the owner, was very genuine & polite which I happen to find very refreshing these days! These are the items they inspected & took care of regarding my car's Service. Completed the Synthetic Oil change, filled washer fluid. The Fuel Injector was cleaned and the Cabin Filter was replaced. Carl notified me that my Outback needed a new set of rear brake pads but that the front brakes were fine. Nordic Motors also inspected Rotors, Calipers & Brake lines. After the thermostat replacement, the temperature warning light continued intermittently. Oscar suggested the water pump as the next step and made me feel hopeful the issue could be resolved, but communication became inconsistent. I was told the repair could be done the next day, then the next day again, and eventually I stopped receiving responses from both Oscar and the Thumbtack account. I understand some issues can be more complex than expected, but it would have been more professional to clearly communicate if the repair was outside their scope instead of leaving me without updates while the car was still not safe to drive. Pricing is fair, but communication and follow-through could be improved.

This car is my pride and joy and Sal took really good care of it.
