Example: when my main house waterline got a leak in it, I removed the leaking section and took it into "Dusty' who works at the store. Literally within SECONDS he had all the pieces I needed and gave me some tips on how to reinstall them. It all worked perfectly - no more leaks, no expensive repairman. I now know to forget all the big box stores, all that will do is make you waste time! Downtown Hardware lacks the wood floors and high ceilings that I remember from the hardware stores of my childhood, but it fills the bill with its inventory and its staff. Best of all, it's efficient. When I need something specific, I can walk into the store, tell the young staff what I need, and be out the door with my purchase in roughly the same time it would take me to park my car at that big-box home improvement store that often doesn't even stock whatever it is I was looking for. Yes, I'm a fan, and I hope that Downtown Hardware stays in business forever.

I was told that a new carb kit had been installed and that they were going to have to order other parts. I finally picked it up yesterday after receiving no updates. I took it to J&J Small Engine in Clinton, Tn. He fixed the problem in one day. He told me that no new parts had been installed on my generator, as I was told. The deli is open for breakfast and lunch and the food is excellent and reasonably priced. At lunchtime they have a hot bar special with an entree (changes daily), drink, and two sides for $6.99. They also offer a weekly special which typically includes a burger, club, or hot deli sandwich, with a drink, and a side for $4-6. I have breakfast or lunch there 4-5 times a week and never had a bad meal.
