The JWB Grill was a HUGE surprise and one of the best meals I've had in a long time. My husband and I spent a night at the Margaritaville Resort and after a long day, didn't feel like going off property to look for a place to eat. With very little expectations, we headed to the JWB Grill on site and we were warmly welcomed by the hostess. Our excellent service continued the second we sat down until the second we left the restaurant. Our server went above and beyond, was attentive, and efficient. Aside from the phenomenal service, the food was FANTASTIC. Our order consisted of several appetizers to share (with an expectations of leftovers to take back to the room): - Fried Calamari: Coated and fried perfectly. The dipping sauce was outstanding. Had a little kick, but nothing overpoweringly spicy. - Blue Crab Dip: My favorite from the whole order. Loaded with crab that was the perfect, creamy texture. Came with crispy bread strips that complemented the dip well. - French Onion Soup: The best I've had in a long time. the thick ring of cheese and loads of onions in the flavorful broth were to die for. Picture perfect! - Caesar Salad: Fresh romaine lettuce coated with a nice layer of caesar dressing. - Frozen Strawberry Margarita Everything was phenomenal! We talked about the meal into the next day and beyond. We were expecting a mediocre, overpriced meal at the hotel cafe, but we got something outstanding from the service to the food. We would revisit the JWB Grill in a heartbeat the next time we're in Palm Springs whether we are staying at the Margaritaville Resort or not. Very fortunate to have found this gem!

Orginally, we made reservations on OpenTable. The menu on OpenTable had a few dishes that interested us. When we arrived at JWB (located in the Margaritaville Hotel,) they were offering a buffet only. This was for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner buffet selection was somewhat limited. There were a few meat options, pasta station, cold salads and desserts. Regular menu was scheduled to return the next week. Beef short ribs were tender. Sauce really permeated into the meat. Sauce on the Tuscan fish would be delicious on pasta. It was creamy, garlicy and herb forward. The fish itself was way overcooked. Roasted vegetables were prepared to maintain some firmness. They had a lovely char to them. Salad bar items were fresh. Desserts were not refilled during our visit. By the time I went to eat dessert, variety was about half of what was in the picture I took. Coffee tarts had a vibrant espresso flavor. Lemon bars were a bit chalky. I chose one with raspberry on top. The fresh raspberry ended up being the sweet item to the tart lemon. There was a time when my husband and I got up at the same time. In the couple of minutes we were gone, they completely cleared our table. I'm talking dishes, silverware and drinks. We hadn't even paid or been presented with the check. A little kink they may want to iron out if they decide to offer the buffet full time.

Veggie patty after I ate the bun

The service was terrible. I have a lot of food sensitivity and typically I order off the kids meal because they are simpler dishes and I tried to order a cheese pizza and was denied because I wasn't younger than 12. Only place I have ever been to that sticks to that rule, but I then asked what the veggie burger was made out of and she told me it was a black bean patty which would've been perfect, so I order mostly plain, would've just been black beans, bun, and onion, however when it came it was mostly chick peas and quinoa and tomato with a few black beans sprinkled in. Super upsetting the server didn't know and didn't ask if she was unsure. Another person in our party ordered bread as an appetizer and it didn't come out until dinner came out. Not to mention dinner took an hour, which would've been fine if the server communicated the wait was longer than expected but she never came to check on our table. We were waiting on refills and wanted to order more cocktails but she would walk the opposite direction of our table. There was also a hair in on persons drink, although they did remake it it is the initial fact there was a hair is so gross. We had to ask another server to ask our server to come over and give the bill because she literally was non existent and we asked to speak to a manager and when a different server came to help he was so understanding and comped 50% of our tab. It was nice that the other server was understanding of our experience and discounted the meal but the experience especially being a bachelorette party dinner was disappointing to say the least.

Im torn writing this review but the service from nighttime to morning is literally that day and night difference. On New Year's Eve the host gentleman lured us in and was very nice and attentive as was the waitress .. the blue crab appetizer was delicious and the steak frites was one of the best cuts I have ever tasted.. juicy and tender with red chimichurri New Year's Day there was no host so we seated ourselves as there were other customers seated.. after a few minutes of being ignored I asked the bartender if I can order food at 10:30 am and he said no Just no .. something about a buffet they were setting up but did not even offer takeout. Was the buffet a private event orrr was it for guests at the hotel.. haha idk basically told us to leave in a room full of people .. it was humiliating. Left hungry and upset and a great memory for the first day of the new year. Got 7-11 pizza from across the street for breakfast.. crazy right

Food was no good. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, which tasted old and stale. They use the same fry oil to fry their fish, my chicken had a fish after taste. The food was overpriced and terrible.

The burger and salad were delicious Service friendly and keen to help. We sat outside, there was music but peaceful enough keep conversation

We sat on the patio to enjoy the fresh air. There was a father son duo playing music during dinner. The server was attentive and made sure to help us celebrate my friends birthday. I had the JWB Burger - hearty portion size with fries; my friends had the fish burger & chicken sandwich lettuce wrapped. We all enjoyed our meal - very filling & properly seasoned.

Ambiance is amazing both inside and outside!!! Dino the manager is PHENOMENAL and made us feel like family. We were a party of 8 and we had the greatest service and our food was AMAZING!!!! Salmon and fish tacos were delicious!!!! He took time away from being so busy just to ask us questions about our weekend and we just felt so special.

We loved this place! We were unsure because of the bad reviews but it ended up being our favorite dinner spot while visiting Palm Springs. The patio is gorgeous, they had live music, and the hotel itself is super cute. The food was tasty as well!

We ordered burgers one veggie and a regular one, the bread was amazing and the fries were perfect

We thought it would be like margarita ville you know like Las Vegas, Florida or Cancun but it was nothing like it. The hotel has like a bahama feel to it. The patio at the restaurant was beautiful, the food was good not a big variety on their menu. The fish tacos are amazing so was there burgers, the service was excellent. The view of the restaurant is the pool area of the hotel, It was relaxing.

    Steak Frites* and Fish Tacos

Really delicious food, the tacos were unbelievably good. We didn't know we needed a reservation to get a table, so we sat at the bar and had a great night!

YES to everything!…read more The food was excellent. We started with the crab cakes, and although they lacked a bit of structural integrity, they were absolutely divine! The aioli they came with was a perfect pairing. The chili was great! Lots of meat in it & I ate it my favorite way, which was loaded onto some buttered up cornbread! My entree was the chicken pot pie, and wow, wow, wow! What a treat. The crust was perfect, and the pot pie is packed with chicken, veggies, and that delicious signature pot pie creaminess! We were lucky enough to meet the new owners who have committed to maintaining the traditions of the original community stronghold that has been "Billy Reed's". There were lots of conversations around us about the new owners and how these people have been coming here for decades; and I completely understand why. This is comfort food excellence! The service? Incredible. We were served by Jackie. She was an absolute delight. From recommendations to just being downright pleasant and providing excellent service, she was perfect 10/10! We arrived just after 1pm which it was pretty quiet. It's a big space so if there's not a good amount of people, it does look sparse. But about 20 minutes or so after we arrived, people did start to arrive and it did get pretty lively. Checked in with the hostess which we were given option on where we wanted to be seated. Hi top, low top, booth or the bar. Option is alway a good thing. We went with the booth seating as it was quite roomy and had a nice back cushion. Of course our waiter David was the sweetest. He remembered us from way back but something else was there that I couldn't put my finger on. Asked him if he worked somewhere else which he did and the funny thing was, he took care of us there about a month and half ago. Guess the desert restaurant experience, you'll run into the same people. Very sweet there and the exact same here. Made the dining situation great. Brunch menu does offer a good amount of items. A mixture of breakfast items, egg dishes, sandwiches and salads as well as miscellaneous items. Plus they have the mimosas deal. You can either go straight with champagne with 2 refills for 12.00 or mimosas with 2 refill for 14.00. Not bad and alway a must for brunch. Food wise, I'm not a burger person but something about the "Gregor" looked interesting. 1/2 pound of fresh ground angus beef, Kobe short rib, beer cheese sauce, romaine lettuce, tomato onion jam, dill pickles in a brioche bun. Also had it with an over easy egg. It's massive and a little messy picking everything up. Not a burger lover but this item was quite tasty. The meats were juicy and there was enough of it. It was worth having a burger. That was served with fries which was more like shaved potatoes. Also the Rolys Cubano sandwich. Pressed under iron skillet roasted pork, Virginia ham, Gruyère cheese, dill pickles and sour cherry Dijon. It wasn't the same as I've had at Cubans restaurants in Miami and others but it was tasty. A little different from what I'm used to but it was good. Also comes with a side which we went with onion rings for an additional fee. They were quite tasty and big. Cooked well and nice and crunchy. Refills of mimosas were always on time whenever the glass was empty. Service was excellent. Everyone working was major dolls. David was excellent and made sure that we were taken cared of with anything we needed. Water was always refilled when it was emptied. The place did picked up during our meal and after we left. They do have patio seating but no one wants to be out when it's triple digit. We enjoyed and had a great time for brunch. Until next time.
