I don't remember ever seeing it run. I've had it for years and finally decided we should get it looked at. I had another mantel clock that needed service because a new battery did not make it run. Took them both to Promenade Clocks. The cost to repair/clean them was totally reasonable. And they were both ready for pickup in less than a week! Fred and his shop is a treasure right here in Richardson! It's almost like a time museum. Fred showed us around and he really knows his clocks! We loved hearing the stories and how many of the clocks work and their history. Lots of one-of-a-kind clocks available for purchase.

We assumed after being boxed up for years and dirty it would be best to have cleaned and serviced. We were told it would be 6 months before we could get them back and we paid 50% deposit The total cost was very high for both clocks around $1200 but it was worth it to us. When we went to pick up the clocks 6 months later they both were still very dusty and dirty. When I said something the owner then began cleaning. I was told that my cuckoo clock music box couldn't be fixed and they stated our other clock was fixed and working fine. When we brought home and hung up both clocks we discovered cuckoo was getting stuck when coming out and the other clock within 3 hours of hanging up the spring broke. Took the large clock back and we were told they would have to have several more months. They said if the cuckoo getting stuck bothered me I could bring back, which I didn't They fixed the spring and then tried to charge us more, which we refused to pay. Now that clock is not keeping time at all. We decided to contact another clock repair company in Dallas, which is wonderful, they told us you can't just fix a clock without letting it run for a while to be sure it's fixed which these people obviously did not do. I took my cuckoo clock to someone else that fixed the music box and cuckoo as well as polishing and cleaning wood and it's working great. The other clock is still not fixed. These people have a nice store but I absolutely would not take your clocks here to be repaired. We learned our lesson the hard and costly way. Take elsewhere if you need repairs.

I stopped by with my girlfriend to look at rings, and when we walked in, she did not feel comfortable and didn't want to stay. After I had exchanged a few words with the salesman, I too did not feel comfortable nor wish to continue the interaction. Another customer walked in, and after a brief moment, the salesman excused himself to go address the new customer. My girlfriend and I took that opportunity to gracefully exit and try to do so discreetly. This is when I realized we were locked in the store. The salesman had a key-fob that unlocked the door when a customer rang the doorbell, and in order to leave, he had to be the one to let you out. Unfortunately, I had to get the salesman's attention in order to leave. He asked if we were done talking with him, and after my "yes", he said, "well, before I let you out, do you want to come over here and get a business card?" Immediately, I felt trapped inside this store, wanting to leave gracefully and discreetly, but I couldn't. Let me be clear. I do not appreciate being locked in a store and not being able to protect my woman (even by simply leaving the building) when she feels uncomfortable or threatened. I have absolutely no intention of returning. I will add, before we went to this place, we went to Duffy's Jewelry, and had an absolute 10/10 great experience. They were very pleasant, professional, and extremely kind and knowledgeable. Both my girlfriend and I felt very comfortable in there, and to be honestly transparent, I truly want to give them my business. I recommend you do the same.
