This pace looks like it's a junk yard. the owner is a hoarder and tells you he just threw away what ever it is you want to buy and if you find something you want to buy he says it's worth hundreds of dollars even though he just got done telling you it's trash. The guy has no people skills and I feel bad for the workers that actually try to repair boats in that dump. There are also other guys that work for a different company inside the yard so I wouldn't trust taking my boat there. read more

We bought our used 23' Sea Ray from K & H, they fully outfitted the boat for us with a custom trailer, a sound system that will rock your world, and a custom set of covers. We call it our Cocktail Cruiser, we LOVE our boat and had a great experience with Bob and the crew. We would definitely do business with them again :) read more

There are many reasons I would never recommend this business. 1. I was told my bill would be $350-400. I showed up and my bill is now $500! They could not iteamize my bill and or even explain why my bill was so much more. 2. They failed to mention at the time of drop off that its cash only.I had to go to the bank. 3. It's a shame that yelp choose not to factor in the other two reviews because this business clearly doesn't deserve a 1 star rating. My sympathy goes out to Stephan who had to endure the pain and suffering of dealing with Bob for 2+ years. Hopefully his court battle eventually paid off. I recently rented a boat from K&H Marine to take up to Big Bear for Memorial Day Weekend. Found his ad on Criagslist (Which Bob seems to have taken down now) list a StarNatic Deck boat for rent. The boat was exactly what we were looking for to take to Big Bear. I sent Bob an e-mail requesting to see if the boat was available for the holiday wknd. If so, what was the cost. He quickly replied yes and gave us a price. My wife and I stopped by his shop in Orange (Because to put down a deposit of a $1,000 and sign the contract for the dates requested. 1 week before the rental Bob's assistant called saying Bob didn't realize we wanted it on Memorial Day Wknd. That he may want to ask for more money. I told her to have bob give me a call. Bob then called a hour later and proceeded to tell me I lied to him about the rental dates and he wanted me to back out of the contract. Unfortunately we were 1 week out and we had people relying on us bring a boat. I told Bob he will have to honor his side of the contract. This is where things got difficult! (Should have backed out and eliminated the headaches) Pickup day Bob is late. His shop mechanic walks up through the boat. By the time we are ready to leave Bob shows up to collect him money which we made sure to have in cash. We get on the water and the gas gauge shows empty. So we have to stop and the closest marina to fill out. (Who rents a boat with no gas) Then we notice boat doesn't come with an anchor. We have to go out and buy and anchor so we could fish. Again all headaches. After a few phone calls to Bob he shows no sympathy. Bob request that we return the boat at 10am Tuesday after Memorial Day. I show up 30 minutes early @ 9:30. Boat cleaned and in the condition he rented it to us. Bob is no where to be found. I walk through with his boat mechanic. Call Bob and he tells me he will be by at 1pm. I can come back at 1pm to collect my deposit. When I return at 1pm (BTW I live in Costa Mesa so it's not like it's a 5 minute drive) Bob proceeds to tell me that their are a few scratches on the boat. Keep in mind the boat is a 2004. He then charges me $300 for the damages. I decline his claims as I knew he was just trying get more money out of us. I am currently in the process of filing a small claims suit to redeem the rest of my deposit, empty gas tank, and anchor. K&h Marine on their website they have 5 Stars how they ever got that I have no idea. These people are the biggest Crooks in Orange County San Diego Los Angeles County ask any other marine mechanic about K & H Marine Bob and how he deals with people you get the same answer the biggest crooks in the world. I took my boat in there to get it worked on and they took off all my good parts and switch them out with used outdrive, bearings and parts. Ruined my seat covers, they took Parts on there that was not necessary. I asked why, they wouldn't give me any answer and I couldn't get any results. I took too long to think about what was wrong with my boat and I try to figure it out and took it into other mechanics and they told me that they switched the transom assembly inside and out and threw away my oil reservoir for my outdrive. I will never ever go to these people,they are the worst the worst ever they are just thieves. I don't know what else I can say to you but just check around you'll see for yourself. Do not go here this guy is a crook and the mechanic doesn't even know how to change a fuse on a boat be careful with this guy bob and the mechanic they are dangerous !!! I bought my boat in February from k&h marine bob promising me every week that it will be done, I would show up every week to see progress to only find my boat in the same condition it's now April 20 2018 and I literally had to call the police for him even to make a appointment to get my boat from this nightmare mechanic and crook cheese ball !!! Not only that he sold me on a trailer for $3000 its black with side bunks told me it would hold my boat when I took my friend to look at the boat and trailer my friend tells me that's the wrong trailer for the boat you bought off this guy my friends exact words "and how long has he been doing this!!!" So me being trusting because he told me he was a Christian man and I believing bob and his side mechanic, gave him a $1500 as a down payment when I asked for the money back, he told me he didn't have it and will it give it to me when he sells the trailer wtf is that never have I ever had a established business do this to me ! read more

Made an appointment to look at two trailers for my boat. Drove from San Diego to K&H - over two hours, had to take time off work and Bob only brought one trailer forcing me to make another such trip. More time off work, etc. After making a selection I was quoted a price for the trailer and pick up / transport of my bot to K&H by Bob so they could adjust and fit the trailer to the boat. He showed up to pick up my boat with NO help and I have to do all of the work to get it on his trailer, take down the tower and strap it down for safe transport. He charged me $750 for that! When he called to say the work was done and I could go pick up my boat and trailer, upon arrival he said I owed him an additional $600 "to fit the boat and trailer"! That was part of the deal in the first place and not an addition to anything! The welding they did on the trailer is unsightly and unsafe and certainly not structurally sound. K&H, Bob, did not provide me with the proper paper work, registration or information on the trailer I was purchasing; invoiced the wrong person and gave incorrect title information to the DMV! K&H all but destroyed BOTH propellers on my boat while it was in their care which is estimated to cost me an additional $800 minimum! They very obviously dragged my props on the ground! I took loads of pics before they hauled off my boat on their trailer. read more

There in no good rating for this company or business, I was taken for 10K on lies and promises. I am warning that any person that attempts to do business with this place have an attorney do it for them for their protection. This place had my boat for two years promising me to have it fixed month after month they even told me to get a boat slip in April 2013 having me spend extra money, after almost a year of holding the slip in February 2014, I go back to ask the owner about my boat and he says that he has no money to fix my boat after I paid him 10K not including the storage fees. He ruined my dreams of owning a boat, he took advantage of me and my family... He may look like a nice old man but that is his disguise, he may talk like a nice old man but he already has you figured out and how he is going to make lots of money out of you...I took him to court and this man lied to a judge playing the old injured man and they fell for it...we even went into mediation thinking I will attempted to work with him and during the mediation he said that he never intended for my boat to go into the water!!! KARMA WILL GET YOU IN THE END BOB (OWNER), YOUR LIES AND HOW YOU HAVE CHEATED PEOPLE WILL EVENTUALLY CATCH UP TO YOU ALSO, I feel sorry for you that you can't run an honest business...
