This Mexican bakery is my new obsession! Conveniently located in echo park right around the corner from Downtown LA, this bakery has just about everything you could imagine. From pastries to cakes & cupcakes, juices, and even savory items like breakfast burritos and tacos. Everything I tried from them has been good. Tried a sugar cookie with those tiny chocolate chips - delicious. Their doughnut filled with pastry cream was superb. What surprised me was how good their savory items were too. The chicken quesadilla came with a corn tortilla that you could tell was made by hand and with fresh ingredients. The chicken was delicious and it had the perfect amount of cheese. The breakfast burrito was full of hash brown tomatoes and eggs & cheese. This really hit the spot. The prices are cheap. The staff is super friendly. And it's a large store with seating available. I'm a new regular. If you haven't tried it you have to go.

Amazing bakery! I have been coming to this bakery ever since I lived in the area (over 30 years ago) and even after I moved, I still come by to get fresh bread. Delicious and fresh every day. I love that they still have the Bolillo con queso, it's my childhood favorite.

This is an incredibly delicious, authentic, no frills, non-pretentious, mom and pop type of panadería. They have a great mix of both Mexican and Salvadoran food options. They have dozens of different types of pan dulce's, and a large variety of juices, from fruit blends to veggie blends, to smoothies, fruit salads, shakes, and wellness shots like wheat grass and ginger shots, and more. it appears that the variety of bread and fresh juices are far wider on the weekends as that is a far busier time for them but I may be wrong. The savory food is incredible. From pupusas to tacos, to tamales, burritos and entree sized meals. Breakfast (egg) and lunch/dinner meals. The service is quick. Every time I've been, there has been a long line that gets in and out quick. The first time I visited, I almost left because how long the line was but it really only takes 5 mins or so. At least, that's what it feels like. Everyone must wait in line. Even though who order over the phone. I like it imo because it's again no frills, just come on for some great food, drinks, and coffee, enjoy. See you next time. The prices are incredibly priced too, it's so good to have places where people can visit and not break the bank but also enjoy authentic delicious meals.

Mi espanol es muy mal, as you can tell, but the friendly people working there didn't laugh at me, ok, we all laughed with me, but K Bakery is a very pleasant neighborhood place to grab a meal. Today I tried their Salvadoran breakfast, which was great, the plantains were like desert. K Bakery is friendly, quick, and inexpensive. I even scored a parking spot on the street right in front of their front door. What a great start to my day.

This restaurant/panaderia has a wide range of food from pupusas to asada nachos. I was super surprised walking in! I assumed the menu would be small and the building would be small but even the inside of the restaurant was really open. I decided to get the milanesa de pollo torta with green salsa. The bolillo roll was so fluffy and the portion was perfect. The chicken was a little thin but was still super flavorful!!! Honestly I loved it, tortas usually have an overwhelming amount of bread that can be dense but k bakery's is perfect!!! The workers here are also super sweet! The lady who took my order was very nice and had such a good vibe/aura.

I had to change my review after the cake I have received! Completely unsatisfied and disappointed. I ordered my gender reveal cake to be picked up at 10am on 12/15/2025 however I was running a little late even though the lady told me I could still pick it up later after the pick up time that day I placed the order. I send my sister in law to pick it up because I didn't want to accidentally be told the gender for accident and thank god I did because my sister in law said they had a pink line smudged on the side of the cake when it's supposed to be all white. She told the lady working there if they can fix it and the lady said no because the lady that decorates the cake isn't there. After paying $90 dollars even if we are late to pick up the cake you still expect it to be 100% done. And they told my sister in law it our fault for picking it up 2 hrs late and began to argue with her. How does that make sense I understand we were late and take full responsibility on the late part but how does that change the fact the cake was messed up and smudged with a pink line on the side. We had to go purchase white frosting from a store near by and try to cover the pink color. Basically they ruined the cake and my gender reveal! Don't recommend this bakery anymore after being a long term costumer for years. This isn't the service you would expect and for them to have no solutions to fix the cake or even apologize. Instead they fought with her and said it's our fault because the cake wasn't picked up at 10am but we picked up at 12 . Idk I am so confused. Yes I cried after getting my cake and being 6 months pregnant. It was supposed to be a joyful moment

I haven't been to K Bakery in a long time. I still enjoy their variety of agua frescas and pan dulce (pastries). I tried the Nopaludos de Carne (cactus with meat) and I had beef. It was good. Anyhow, I'm in the area for less than a week and have been a few times already. Bring cash or it's a $0.50 charge on your credit/debit card. The restroom is not available for customers. I was able to read a little bit while enjoying my food and drink, but I don't think it'll be a study spot for me. read more

There is a woman in the cash register with the most inappropriate attitude. She is wearing headphones while the customers are talking to her therefore she either can't hear or ignores them. I understand that she might be going through stress or whatever but if she can't handle customers she does not need to be in the front. read more

What a gem. I recently moved into the neighborhood and hadn't assumed much when passing by the place. My friend took me there yesterday and I got the breakfast burritto with Chorizo and a Green Juice. Both we delicious. The breakfast burrito was well balanced and had that pefert blend of flavors you can expect from a "good" breakfast burrito. The juice was also solid and freshly made. The women behind the counter were really friendly and helpful, the food came out quickly, and the prices are reasonable. They also have lots of other stuff, like breakfast sandwiches and chilaquiles, that I'm eager to go try. What else can you ask for? My only feedback -- the name is a bit confusing... I'm sure there is a good reason it's called K Bakery, and they do have baked good after all. But passing by I might expect a sleepy Korean bakery, not this glorious offering! read more

Parking: Sucks a big one, but after the trama of residential parking it's ok. Staff: Super friendly and accommodating. Asked if they can make me a special cheese croissant sandwich even though it wasn't on the menu. Hidden Gem! K bakery is the hidden gem we've literally all been waiting on. The menu options are limitless and the price point is unheard of here in LA. This place is authentic as you're gonna get with bakery items, fresh juices and freshly made food. The have a seating area inside where you can enjoy your food and also you can take-out and order to-go. They've got a repeat customer in me for sure, I always get the Jugo Verde (green juice) the small is essentially a large literally abs the pupusas and tamales are to die for. read more

Good place for pastries and breakfast. If you wake up early enough you'll get a chance to buy their delicious tamales verdes or rojos. They sell very quickly so you must be here during opening hour. They have other breakfast menus like the breakfast burrito that's only 5.50. Also this is a good place to come get bolios since they're made fresh daily. THIS PLACE HAD EVERYTHING and smells amazing when you walk in. They have Cafe de la Hoya and a large assortment of pan Dulce (Mexican pastries) and also the larges assortment of Aguas frescos I've ever seen, along with liquados and fresh fruit salads! Great menus featuring everything from tamales, to tacos de papa, to chilaquiles rojos and verdes! They also have menudo on the weekends. We ordered 3 Enchiladas Rojas de queso. They came with beans and a salad and dressed with cotija cheese and sour cream. We also ordered Chilaquiles Verdes w/bosteque asada. Also came with beans and a salad. Both dishes were not only authentic, but they were delicious and very hearty! We also ordered their iced caramel coffee and we loved it too! We will defiantly be back! read more

I drove by the last surviving Mexican bakery in echo park/downtown L A and I thought I was just going for Mexican pan dulce (Sweet Bread) but they won me over with all the choices on the menu. I ended up having breakfast and a green juice that is all natural freshly squeezed. The green juice has pineapple, celery, green apple, ginger, and many other green stuff like nopales (cactus). These are all ingredients I was able to see. I been a regular ever since I got hooked on the green juice. The ladies at the counter will provide service with a smile. The ambience can be busy depending on the time of day. Did I forget the tamales. . . . They are good too. read more

If you looking for a real authentic Echo Park experience - try this spot out. The food is as about authentic as you can get for reasonable prices. Yesterday I had the mole chicken and I don't even like mole but I skinned that chicken like it stole my mothers purse. All the fresh juices they have available is pretty fun too. You can try them out - they'll give you a little sample cup! Its good Mexican food. And you don't feel like your paying some commercial company that is probably trying to build a wall somewhere. I'm just saying. Cant wait to buy a cake for someone :) Update: fish tacos ... decent! read more

The huevos ranchers are pretty tasty. The chiken tamales are also on point. When I lived closer I was a regular and those tamales were highly coveted. I also love the chic lemonade. It's pretty epic during the heat filled days in summer. The bakery itself is also really great. I have ordered the tres leches cakes and cupcakes for my daughter's birthday. They never disappoint and have such a fantastic fixture in the neighborhood. read more

First time here, since I brought one of my cousins up to the Dominic Toretto house nearby. I may just come back up here for the food alone! I had the breakfast burrito, and it was one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Sooooo good. My cousin had a pupusa revuelta, and he said it was good too. They accept cards at a .50c extra charge (cash is King). Given the area, parking sucks, but it's to be expected. Prices are very affordable! read more

UPDATE: I ordered a two tier cake, I was told to pick it up by 11:00... at 12:30 I went back into the bakery to ask for an update... since it was not ready at the scheduled time. I literally was patient waiting for them to let me know that the cake was ready. At around 12:40 the cake was given to us... the drawing looked nothing like the references we provided for the decor... the piping was messy and spotty... the frosting was not smoothed out on the character's face so the lines looked crooked and overlapped... it had jagged and rough and uneven lines that made the cake look homemade. Geez they could have smoothed out the lines but they chose to give me a messy and ugly drawing... they lost a loyal customer. The offered a small discount that was insulting that I had to write this review. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I was flexible with the bakery not having my cake on time but they figured they would just wing the drawing.. it's really upsetting to know that this is a well established bakery but I was not given what I paid for. BEWARE IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL DAY IT MIGHT BE HALTED BY A MEDIOCRE CAKE. I guess I know that I won't be returning and I tried to do my best to be flexible but I paid 130+ for this... please see pictures.... As a connoisseur of cookies, I wasn't impressed with the types of cookies here. While they all looked beautiful, they tasted dry and chalky. I think brown sugar was used but I don't think enough butter was used. The 3 cookies I got (chocolate, sprinkles, butter) were all more like a biscotti. The empanadas on the other hand, were nice and buttery (both mini ones and the large ones). I tried both sweet (strawberry) and savory(beef) ones and enjoyed them both. Nice selection of fresh juices, smoothies and food/snacks. Great neighborhood establishment and great service! read more

The service here is terrible. I placed an order and asked for no beans but they still served me beans. The cashier was about to hand me my drinks but she placed her fingers inside the cup which is unsanitary specially with covid and all. The lady also poured in the wrong drink which was jamaica but I asked for horchata so she just "rinsed" the cup. Ugh. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I ordered a cake for an event on a certain day, when I went to pick up my cake it wasn't there or ready. They never made it for my kids party. It was a disappointment as I paid in advance and never got the cake I ordered I settled,for something they had ready because of there lack of mistake and service. Never order a cake from this place!!!! I placed a cake and cupcakes order a month ago and my pick up time was 10am and my order WASNT even ready yet! 30 minutes passed and the girl tells me they're not even done!!!! NEVER AGAIN. Trying to keep my cool. Please be aware they're not on time, my order wasn't complete they had to go back and make another cupcake. The cake itself was very ugly not what I ordered! After I asked for my money back, all of a sudden my order was ready. NEVER AGAIN the girl that helped me was the only good thing about that bakery. She was kind and understanding. read more

I've lived down the street for 6 years now and I come here for their tamales and juices. I have tried to broaden my tamale experience and go to other places to change things up, but nothing hits like K bakery. Their tamales are ALWAYS perfectly moist and delicious. I usually enjoy coming to small businesses like this. Still, when I was discriminated against and illegally denied access due to having a service animal, as well as them refusing to accommodate me and then laughing at me after I complied, that's all I needed to know about this business. Firstly the workers are not aware of ADA laws. When I was told I could not have my dog inside, I clarified that he is a service animal for my diabetes, but the cashier still refused and told me they only accommodate blind people. It is illegal/discriminatory to deny a particular service animal entry into public or private business. I was surprised but still complied and put my dog outside. While watching my dog and still trying to order, they took new customers who walked in after me instead of taking mine. They didn't apologize for wrongfully denying me access or attempt to help me continue to support their business. Very weird and unprofessional. Do better and educate employees so this doesn't continue to happen. Thank you. read more

I have tried to support this local business , The food is good ( IT better be for the price ) But they are so flakey with their hours and services . Who ever heard of a bakery closed on sunday . Last Night I checked online before running out to grab dinner for the family , It said OPEN now till 7pm . AS I walked up to the door; The owner Locked it in my face at 6:05 PM Looked right at me and turned the Key . AND I'm a regular customer . But not anymore . I understand "codvid hours" and w/e .. if she could have at least let me in to buy stuff and then locked up , That would have been the neighborly and professional thing to do . Moved to this neighborhood in July 2020 and I have been passing by this place ever since and I wanted to try it out! I went in and the cashier was super helpful and kind. I got their LAs best breakfast burrito and Two of each of their tamales haha I love tamales! Anyways I tried the burrito and it was pretty good! It was living up to its name now in terms of best breakfast burrito it's debatable but that's a different list I have working. I tried the tamales next first one I tried was the red sauced tamale and the chili relleno one and wow they were really good! The spicy sauced one was my favorite of them all! In fact I still have some as left overs haha im excited to eat them! I have to go back to this place as I did see a bunch of juice dispensers with each one having its own flavor so I gotta go back and grab me some of those frescas! Overall I enjoyed my experience and if you like bakeries this one has a lot of choices between breakfast lunch and even dinner items as well as bread and juices and coffees! Our long history or home made natural delicious food has taken us to expand our menu. Today our most famous burrito has taken the place as the best selling burrito in LA " KB's Breakfast Burrito". With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I'm not going to pay for food that skims on ingredients and shortchanges customers by charging more for less, so this will be my last visit.

This is like calling a cut of meat a filet mignon and serving a hamburger. Von's, Ralphs and Albertson's make better cupcakes than this for a fraction of othe price.

My neighborhood bakery, I've been coming to this little ( now bigger) bakery since I was in elementary school! They make fresh bolillos all day long, available in whole wheat and white bread. ( of course the white bread tastes better) If you add melted nacho cheese to it, you will be really, really happy you did. It's super bad for you, but hey, so is drinking! I like everything here, they make really good champurrados, the iced cappuccino drinks with whipped cream. Yuuuumm. All of the baked goods are fresh, and super cheap. My favorite item is their cheese cake. It's ALWAYS good, not too sweet, and i like like like it. They also make green juices. Yep. I come here now for mostly green juices, which usually involve celery, apple, grapefruit, beets...not alot of greens at the moment. They've expanded, and good for them. The best spot in LA for natural drinks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner! My favorite meal is the breakfast burrito it's the perfect combo of food and if you're feeling up for a cold drink the chocolate cappuccino is a must. The workers are very attentive and respectful it's a great environment to buy your pastries, meals, and drinks. read more

K Bakery is a wonderful community bakery and restaurant. They have a great juice bar, wonderful pan dulce, the cheesecake is bomb. They also have a full menu of Mexican main dishes and sandwiches. They use high quality ingredients. Sit down or take out. Wheelchair accessible. read more
