Great location family and locally owned! I've been to a lot of Mexican spots, and this place definitely stands out. The food is fresh, flavorful, and you can tell they actually care about what they're serving. Everything I've tried so far has been solid great portions and really good seasoning. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, which makes the whole experience even better. It has that authentic neighborhood vibe where you feel comfortable coming back again and again. If you're looking for a solid spot for mexican food, this is a no doubt option. Came here after a walk at Echo Park. They are so nice and will help you. They have great Mexican food. It is traditional Mexican food, not the new healthy kind, so if you are looking for that go elsewhere. This is just great and I bet they use lard. We love their tacos and burritos. Their chips are made there and so good and they have some great guacamole. They have soda in bottles and I think they have beer, but I am not positive. After you order and pay at the counter, they will bring your food to you. I went on a Friday night as Rodeo was holding an event for Dodgers vs Giants. The restaurant was packed so there was a short wait but it was a blast. I ordered the carne asada plate and the camarones a la diabla. Both were great the meat was seasoned well and cooked to the right temp. The prices for the amount of food you get, the lack of attention from the staff, super small salsa cups, gotta ask for chips, $3.50 for a small soda, difficult parking---it's just all bad. I have been going to Rodeo Mexican Grill for years. I order food for my Dad at least twice a month. The last 3 orders were missing big items. The first 2 times it happened, I requested a refund from Postmates and although I was partially refunded, it did not help the fact that THEY didn't send my complete order. Tonight, I ordered 2 taco plates, a 12 piece order of taquitos, a shrimp cocktail, side of beans and I paid extra for a lot of salsa. My order was missing the shrimp cocktail, refried beans, salsa and the guacamole for the taquitos! Anyone who used Postmates knows you have to either wait for over and hour to speak to a rep to request a refund or you request a refund on the app knowing you will most likely not be refunded the full amount of the missing items. I opted to use the app and once again, I was not refunded the whole amount but I could deal with that. I called Rodeo Mexican Grill and someone said they would connect me to the manager. I was on hold for over 12 minutes. I was on hold long enough for me to get into my car and drive all the way to the restaurant. I speak to the manager and not once did anyone say they were sorry. I explained this happened the last 3 orders and I said I don't understand how orders are being bagged without such obvious things like the guacamole that goes with taquitos or salsa. I even mentioned they have forgotten expensive things like full plates and shrimp cocktails. I asked the manager to ask whomever packed it what happened and she looked like a deer in the headlights. She said she did not know. Please. She knew. I explained that I had to place another order which means that I have to pay another delivery fee and another tip to the postmates driver. The manager had no response. Again, not one person said they were sorry. There were 3 people there just staring at me. I can totally understand how restaurants may forget little things but when they forget big items over and over and over again, that is a problem. Rodeo Grill - if you read this, you need to come up with a method to make sure you pack EVERYTHING a customer pays for. Maybe invest in a simple $2 highlighter pen and mark off when things are packed. It is ridiculous that this happens so often. I will no longer order from the restaurant and although I am sure they don't care that they lost 2 households of good customers, someone should step up over there any make a change. If you can't pack orders with everything someone orders, choose someone else to pack. It is common sense. read more

With all the great Mexican food places in LA, I usually don't go to the franchises/ actual restaurants because I find more authentic Mexican food in the random hole in the wall places or just the vendors. However I really like this place. The food is flavorful and well cooked and the prices are decent. I usually get the asada fries and the asada is always juicy, the guac is always guac-ing, and I'm always happy. Never dined it but it seems like a quick experience. The staff are all pretty friendly as well. The only thing that is a little dry is their carnitas and yet I still get them because they still taste so good! And not like completely dry but just enough that I've noticed the three times I've gotten them so far but again it's still worth it to go for everything else. They can be a little stingey with the to go sauces but overall it's a good spot if you're looking for some decent Mexican food that tastes homemade. read more

We have been customers at this location for four years, and Alicia has been the best waitress we've had. We highly recommend her! However, during our last visit, we encountered a problem. We were having a good time, as we do every Friday, when Anuar was serving us drinks. He was very rude and stated that he didn't want to serve us. When we noticed this, we called the supervisor, Sara, but she also refused to intervene because Anuar insisted on his behavior. Both of them were very rude, and because of this experience, I don't think I'll be coming back to this location. Why do we go to any restaurant? For the food, and the experience is second. Arrive was great but the food, sides etc feel like it's made for takeout. A simple chorizo and eggs should not be burned and minced down to shreds! Tortillas are one step down from Vons packaged tortillas.
