Fixed a bumper. Did it in a reasonable amount of time and dealt directly with the insurance so I didn't have to worry about money.

These jokers are pathetic. They did a great job replacing the front bumper of my mint condition 2001 MB CLK 430 Cab that I've owned since fall 2000. UNFORTUNATELY, the idiots did not secure the lower grill trim and it fell off somewhere in the short ride home. Now the piece is not being made anymore and they don't have a solution for ruining my soon to be classic car. I will sue to get my money back, but they still have given my "baby" a vapid grin. I am none too pleased. I have fairly public profile and am happy to discuss and dissuade any potential customers from entrusting their cars to these clowns. Amazing service! I live over 25 miles from their shop and found it hard to get back to this side of town to have a part put on that was missing from my original body work. Needless to say, it took me a year to get back over there. They didn't have the part, so I went to Lexus and the owner had me bill him and they put the part on within 25 minutes. What is so impressive is that they stand by their work even after a year with no fuss. Very professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend them if you ever need a body shop. If you like being treated like you're wasting their time this is your place. This is one of those reviews where you wish you could give less than 1 star. Dec 3, drove my car in for them to look at it because they said to over yelp messages. They seemed so nice, but Steve said in person insurance would have to look first. Great no problem. Dec 10, insurance is finally able to come look at my car. They give me an estimate and I said where I wanted my car taken. This is where the fun starts. I had to call them 3 times that day. 1st call, they asked me to send the estimate and valuation report. 2nd call, I asked did you get the paperwork can you take the car? Said they'd call me back. 3rd call for the day, the tow truck has been on stand by will you be able to take my car or do I need to look other places (they seemed busy and I'm a one car household and am blowing through my rental days and I just want an estimate on how long it will take). They said yes of course have it brought in (they've not communicated any of this to me so far). So at 4 the tow company comes (shop closes at 5:30). Dec 11, I called around 4 pm because I hadn't heard whether the car was delivered or anything. A 10 second phone call would have been great but no. On the phone Steve said "I already had to stay late for your car yesterday, we've had it 8 hours (guessing he's talking business hours) you just need to let us do our jobs, your insurance company gave you a rental you're fine". This left me speechless. The first Monday he seemed so happy to do business and that was clear I was a waste of time to him when all I needed was a quick explanation of where my car was. That week I didn't call at all, received no updates. Finally called progressive on Friday evening just to see if they'd heard anything so they called. "Just got off the phone with the shop it's going to be a total". Dec 17, insurance called me and I asked for the full estimate. They said the shop should have that. Called the shop a bit ago, the receptionist said she had to transfer me and wished me a merry Christmas.....so Steve....I asked for the full estimate, he doesn't have one, and I tried to explain that I wanted to buy my car back as salvage. Then he proceeded to mansplain on why that's a bad idea. I said thank you I'll wait to hear from my insurance then to see what they come up with. Does he say thank you? Nope. Does he say bye? Nope. Dec 18, I've told insurance I want to buy my car back, they agree, issue payment - cost of car. I call the shop to pick up my car, and they won't release it till they've secured payment for storage and "tear down". I said provide me with the bill I'll pay it then request a refund. They didn't even have a bill ready, said they would call back around 11 to plan the pickup once they had time to put a bill together. Dec 19, I call the shop again to arrange for me to pick up the car. Again they won't release my PROPERTY because they don't have a bill ready yet (my car has been there 8 business days and they can't put together a bill?). I called insurance and they secured the storage payment and now the shop is refusing to put the car back together (THE FRONT BUMPER). They said they would put it in the back seat. They have rendered my car useless because I can't drive without a front bumper with the air bags. Before I drove the car over an hour to get there. I called my insurance because this is crazy that they refuse to put my bumper back on. After talking to my insurance broker they agree that it's ridiculous I brought the car in put together and now I would take it back torn down. So I'm on day 9 on them having the car in their possession and no closer to having it back. Only silver lining is now my insurance broker is fighting to get my car back the way I brought it in. This man Steve has treated me like I'm a waste of his breathe. If your are vulnerable with cars and don't know the insurance process, do not go here they have taken complete advantage of me. I fell for day one person but was treated terribly since. Just save yourself all this stress and go someplace else. read more

Someone had backed into my car and damaged my front bumper. Their insurance company (State Farm) was approved for use at this location so I dropped by for and estimate. It literally took them 10 minutes and I was set! I had an appointment set for the following week on Tuesday. The following Monday I had a reminder call from KC Colors that I appreciated. When I dropped off my car I had asked about the time of completion so I could get an idea of when to pick my car up. I was told probably late Friday afternoon or early Saturday morning. I said that was great and left. Thursday afternoon they had called and said it was finished. I loved that the work was done ahead of schedule , but what I really loved was the quality of work. My car is 12 years old and the paint matching was exceptional along with every other facet of this deal. I would highly recommend KC Colors Auto Body to any of my friends and family. I was referred to KC Colors by my insurance agent, and I was very impressed with their service. Long story short they didn't fix my vehicle as it was a total loss, but my insurance company did send them a check to try to repair the vehicle. I worked with Troy, he was incredibly nice, very knowledgeable, and he clearly wanted to either put my vehicle back in like new condition versus taking the insurance money and cutting corners. Troy called my insurance company daily, and kept me informed of the process until they finally declared the vehicle a total loss. I was very impressed with their customer service, and would absolutely recommend them. I hope that I don't need a body shop anytime in the future, but if I do I am going to KC Colors. read more

I was in a car accident and K C Colors was on the list of approved service shops through my Insurance company. I was a little nervous going somewhere that wasn't a recommendation from someone I knew. What a pleasant surprise this place was. Angela was fantastic and always answered all my questions. This was my first accident (other driver's fault) and my car ended up being a total loss. I called and Steve was so helpful and answered all my questions and walked me through the entire process of what would happen next. He never rushed to get me off the phone and I can't even begin to tell you what a huge relieve he was. However, when I went to clean out my personal affects from my car, I asked him about my rental car. I had taken my rental through a car wash and it had messed up my hub cap. I asked Steve if he could help me get a replacement before I returned the car (I was worried the rental company would charge me an arm and a leg). He ended up ordering one overnight and was planning to get it put on the car for me. It turned out the Rental company was not going to charge me. I called and spoke to Angela and offered to pay the overnight shipping cost since I didn't end up needing the replacement. I just couldn't believe how quick they jumped to action to help this girl in distress. I can say without a doubt, if I ever need any future car work there is no where I would go but K C Colors. No work was actually done on my car so I can't speak in terms of the actual labor, but the whole team has completely won me over with their helpfulness, honesty, and straight forward approach. I feel blessed I was led to K C Colors and would recommend them to anyone! Oh, and Steve explained they were also from Nebraska. It's nice to find my people down here in this big city! I received excellent service here on a couple of occasions. Recently, they patched up our aging mini van. It is about 13 years old and has higher than average mileage. The insurance company wanted to total it and pay us much less than it is worth to us. In September 2015 my two week old 2015 Honda Civic was rear ended. The trunk and most of the passenger side quarter panel had to be rebuilt. With that amount of damage you would expect discoloration or noticeable lines but the car came out looking brand new again. They also have replaced parts that came loose as well as fixing a few flaws in the original repair job. No one is perfect but these guys come close. They will work with you to get the problem solved and are always pleasant to deal with. read more

They were able to fix my 2013 ILX no problem. Dropped it off on Thursday and had it ready by Friday evening. I was going to knock off a star since I had to wait a while when I showed up at the time they said it would be fixed, but I think they hustled just to have it done for the weekend. So I will give them the benefit of the doubt. They had the best price quote of the places I checked. They also didn't charge me for some additional minor damage they found, fixed it no charge.
