I was so stunned that he was there because I didn't even know we had a bug problem. I stood there watering the grass and wanting to know why he was there (I was on the condo board at the time), and was growing upset that he wouldn't tell me. In retrospect, because he was hired privately, I can see why he wouldn't. He'd have to air out the extermination issue in someone else's unit. I wasn't thinking of it like that at the time though. (I'd lived in an apartment years ago where a tenant said the roaches were her "friends" and refused to let anybody in to spray. I was reliving that nightmare neighbor when he arrived.) I grumbled about it and kept watering the lawn. Fast forward two years later until last weekend, the same person who hired him before arranged for this company to exterminate our entire building. And this time I was totally on board. Also, exterminating only one unit in a building will only lead to bugs going to the next unit and the next one after that. I absolutely support that they charge for ALL units to apply pressure on those roaches-are-my-friends types. For the life of me, I cannot fully remember what the guy looked like who I was complaining about while watering the grass. It's been too long. Physically, he (Sam) vaguely reminds me of the exterminator who showed up in my unit this time, but it could be two different people. All I know is I liked Sam who treated my unit in 2023. He patiently explained where he was spraying, persistently explained where he wouldn't spray (because he was worried about my dog AND he had very kind things to say about dogs anyway, which won me over immediately) and was a friendly guy. If this WAS the same guy, he sure didn't hold a grudge against me when he returned. He was professional, informative and had a dry sense of humor. I am not in a position to know what their rates are so I can't say whether they're reasonable or not, but I liked the service. I didn't have a bug problem either time the exterminator from two years ago or last weekend (assuming it's not the same person) arrived, so I'm hoping that continues. So far, so good.

I was giving this company the benefit of the doubt. After seeing the negative reviews, and their response to those reviews. (And probably they will respond to my review, too. I think its unnecessary in this case.) But their responses usually explain the situation explaining their point of view ultimately saying how it was the customers fault or they had a "special situation" I was skeptical but again gave the benefit of the doubt, like maybe it was the customers fault in those cases. I've worked in customer service before, you cant make everyone happy. By now I already talked to Kevin (bedbugs specialist) and have had a positive experience. He was very informative and educational about bedbugs. Things I've never heard about before, like using your car as a oven to kill the bedbugs when weather is over 75 degrees, thats a great idea. And I appreciated all of that. On top of that, the price of $1250. For all visits was a good deal for me. Other companies seem too cheap or too expensive, so with the good experience I had with him with the price seem like a good bet. The only problem that came along was that I've said twice they might come on Saturday, June 5th. Because thats the best day for me to pay for it. And I say MIGHT because he said I had to prep the house before they come. First they said confirm that the company will be doing the treatment then they will send prep list, THEN let them know when they will come. Thats what I thought the process is supposed to be. First time was on a call I said that Ill try to for Saturday but I'm not sure so ill let him know. He tells me if I have any questions to let him know by call or email. And I did, I asked a lot of questions on email and It was really nice. I thought some of them were stupid and he said that "no questions are stupid, let me know if you have any more" I then said "Alright still have to do the prep im trying to shoot for Saturday but ill let you know when im ready and sure. Thanks" (June 1st) He then said "let me know by tomorrow end of day how you are doing" (June 1st) I can say thats where Im at fault. I didn't message back to let him know. And I mentioned Saturday. But does that confirms they should come? So its June 5th, And their here. I have my own reasons why I wasn't ready. But I shouldn't have to explain them. Kevin did say I didn't have to dry all the clothes. Just bag them is fine. But with all the clothes we have I thought it was best to. I'd rather treat the clothes just to make sure before they come so its as affective as possible. But I didnt reach my goal for Saturday. Thats my fault. But eventhough I did not message him to let him know. I STILL DIDN'T CONFIRM. I'm surprised not only did they not tell me what time they were coming, there was only one guy there to do treatment? Maybe thats okay but I don't know to save time wouldn't you have atleast two people?? I tell them the house isn't ready And they give me a call A woman tell me in an upset tone. "But you scheduled for today" I try to explain but it didn't matter and said Kevin will be giving me a call. Kevin calls me and says "I'm not very happy..." I tried to explain but he cuts me off saying "I had to say no to many customers. Now they have to sleep with bugs for another week because I scheduled today for you" And I had a problem with that and I say "hey I didnt even know what time!?..." And now we are at an argument cutting off each other. Then ends and he says hes not comfortable treating my house and to choose another company And I said Great and hung up before him saying "have a nice day" because just wow. To me it was unprofessional when it didn't have to be. Why would you schedule me not knowing SURE im ready?He even told me he is not going to schedule me until I tell him I'm ready? I'm sorry for the people you had to schedule for next week. But why would you have to tell me? I'm not the person who scheduled them?? And now of course I feel bad and want to take the blame because thats the type of person I am because I know where I was at fault. But no, its still not right. For him to take no accountability AT ALL?? It didnt even have to be an argument. I was just shocked because I had faith in them. They gave me relief like Ill actually be able to treat this problem. And I was going to be ready for Tuesday and let them know when I would be ready. Take it as you will, thats my experience. If you are going to consider this company. Be a better communicator than I was to make sure they come to help and treat your problem. Because unfortunately they might not provide that. Now back to company searching...
