    Fried chicken Wings

We tried K-Chicmac in Richfield and had a great experience from start to finish. We ordered one serving of chicken fried wings and asked if they could split it into two portions for us--and they happily did, which was a really thoughtful touch. The wings were excellent: light, crispy batter, evenly fried, and juicy inside with no greasiness. Simple, clean execution that lets the chicken shine. The kimchi had a nice fermented tang, and the vinegar-pickled radish was crisp, refreshing, and perfect for cutting through the richness of the fried chicken. The ambiance was good, comfortable and clean, and the service was friendly and accommodating. Solid Korean fried chicken spot with great attention to customers--we'll definitely be back.

Cute little spot for Korean food. We came because I'm in love with Korean Fried Chicken... their Soy Garlic chicken wings were pretty good (Love that sweet + salty), but I've had slightly better at lower prices, so it's only 4/5 stars. Food (4/5) Service (4/5) Ambiance (4/5) My son got the Army Stew, which came out boiling hot in a stone bowl - so impressive. The Army Stew was new to me and I would never order it, but my son liked it. The stew had glass noodles, Spam (ham), and hot dogs (sausage) and the broth was a bit too spicy for me with a heavy dose of Korean gochujang flavor. The table near us ordered Beef Bulgogi and I was so jealous because it came out sizzling and smelling SO good. I'd definitely order that next time! We came at an odd time (3pm) so service was excellent since there were only 3 customers at the restaurant. The restaurant had casual modern decor and looked cute. Their little plastic stools looked convenient to accommodate many customers, but were a bit uncomfortable for me.

What a cute little Korean spot! The indoor dining room is nothing fancy but decorated in a fun way with some unique, funky dining furniture. Our server was very kind and gave some good suggestions, and the food came out sizzling and hot in stone cookware- perfect for a cold day! We tried army stew, bulgogi and the fried chicken - the chicken was good but actually our least favorite item, since everything else was so good! If I could change anything, I would add more spice to the items that were meant to be spicy - nothing was particularly spicy, we had to ask for hot sauce. Overall, I'd recommend if you're craving Korean food!

New KFC restaurant in the area. I don't want to be nitpicky since they are new and it's a soft opening (at least when I went last week). I know they are still working out some things so I'll leave the rating where it's at but if I get the chance to visit again I'll give a more realistic rating. We dined in. When we waked it was a moment before we were greeted as the person behind the counter was on the phone and there was one server taking care of everything else. Once we were greeted, we were told to pick a table. They have some smaller tables (2 seaters) around the outer dining room and some 4 seat tables with smaller rounded chairs. I will say the round chairs were a bit uncomfortable as a taller person but again there's other seating options or takeout. The menu is super limited basically just different cuts of chicken and a maybe 5 other side dish/entree options. They are still in "soft opening" so not sure if the menu will expand or just stay basic? When we ordered we wanted wings with 2 sauce options as the menu stated that you could choose 2 sauce (half & half) options. We were a bit confused when we were told that they actually can't sauce the chicken and you buy the sauces as a dip unless you order a full chicken? Not sure that I heard everything correct but we were charged sauce that came in little containers on the side. I was looking through other yelp pics and it looked like some people had sauced wings but not the biggest deal but also made me realized that I don't care for chicken or sauces much. We also got kimchi fried rice, it was also okay. The waitress was nice and attentive. Wasn't too busy when we went. There's a parking lot, which makes parking easy.

Took the whole family and we shared 3 separate boneless fried chicken (Soy Garlic, Yangyeom -Spicy, and Supreme). We also ordered the Beef Bulgogi, glass noodles (Japchae), and Bimbibap. The food was delicious and we love the lighter batter (but still crispy Korean style fried chicken) that lets the flavors really come through. We come here every time we are visiting from the area. Will keep coming back.

One word.......Delicious. Will be returning once I'm back in the area. Food was too much for me to eat in 1 sitting. This was polished off at lunch the next day.

A new Korean restaurant to go to. They have various stuff on the menu from stir fry bulgogi, rice bowl bibimbap, hotpot and also variety of drinks like soju, terra beer and makgeolli. But we came here for the Korean fried chicken. It is so delicious and this is not going to be the last time we visit this place. They play k-pop songs on the speaker and NFL game on the tv screen. Could not ask for more on a Sunday brunch.

We tried K ChiMac during the soft launch and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. You can expect crunchy and delicious Korean inspired chicken with very generous portions and a beautiful interior. The service I would say was just ok. We were basically the only people there the day we went and I was surprised that they mostly ignored us once we got our food. I also tried the kim chi fried rice which was spicy, savory, and decadent. I will definitely be back!

if you are looking for authentic korean fried chicken - this is the spot for you! their chicken reminded me of the old school style korean fried chicken (tongdak) yet it was super crispy!! I highly recommend their original and the yangnyeom - they are truly a classic! the seasonings and flavors were on point!!! they also service alcohol here - korean beer and soju! It was pretty spacious here and I love that they have the korean metal round tables and seats!

K-ChiMac was easy to find, and they had plenty of parking. My wife said the initial feel was similar to places in Korea. We were greeted immediately, and the staff were all friendly. We ordered the Stone Pot Bibimbap and the Soy Garlic bone in wings. The Bibimbap tasted fresh and light! The Soy Garlic wings had an excellent flavor and the sauce also tasted fresh and light. We have had Korean food that had sauces that were too heavy, but this was not the case here. A nice surprise was that they had some boneless wings with their different sauces that we got to try for free. Albeit they were cold, it did give us the opportunity to sample the Yangnyeom Mild and Dakgangjeong sauces, which were both really good as well. Even though this is not our favorite Korean Fried Chicken, we feel you can't go wrong stopping here!

The food was fast, fresh and very favorable. The restaurant was very clean and spacious, the service was quick! I will definitely come back when I come back to visit. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who wants fresh Korean food!

Located on the south side, 3rd floor. The first thing I noticed when I walked up was that they were out of so many items!! They had a tv screen with napkins blocking at least 3-4 items saying "sold out." I also noticed their fountain soda was sold out of every flavor except Starry and Pepsi. That's wild to me. This is the Mall of America! Despite being out of so many items, the item I was there for, was still in stock. I couldn't help but notice the counters were very dirty. The front of this place also had a lot of trash around it. The mall does get very busy, but this was not a good look, and there are plenty of food joints around here that looked clean. The girl who took my order was straight to the point, no greeting. Just "what do you want." I ordered a number one. This includes 6 wings a side of your choice and a beverage. Soy garlic seems to be the most popular, so I got that. The food was handed to me fairly quickly. But it was not what I ordered. I like a good bone in wing, and I was given the number 2- boneless wings.... Because I don't mind those, I didn't say anything and just took my food. Do not get the boneless! They are spongy, had dark meat in them and at one point I spit out the wing because it just tasted like old chicken! There was barely any sauce on the wings! The fries were standard. The starry tasted like cleaning chemicals and I did not drink it. May be the stand alone restaurants are better, but this was actually disgusting. I will not be returning to this location. Given the amount of food options, I'd say go ANYWHERE else!

Drinks: The Last Samurai cocktail & the Imposter Among Us mocktail were both delightful. Love the unique drink options, and the two we had were executed beautifully. Sushi: Unfortunately, the sushi was a bit disappointing. We had the hotate yuzu, Suzuki oshizushi, tamago nigiri, and the futomaki. The rice was unfortunately undercooked, and also too lightly seasoned. The tamago was alright, the futomaki was very good though. Dessert: The yuzu custard - one of my favorite desserts I've eaten in a long time. Definitely the best thing we had and I would absolutely get it again. Service: Our service was pretty good. I did watch one of the other servers grab soup spoons by the part you eat from and then bring them to a table which was concerning. The sake flight was great with some generous pours but I was disappointed in the mocktails. The rolls were delicious, albeit a bit basic. The onigiri was great and I was a huge fan of the salmon but the tuna just wasn't hitting for me. We called the day before to make a reservation for Saturday night and there were very few spots available. We snagged a 8-10PM slot. You enter through Hoban (which smelled delicious), and then are led through a hallway with various rooms. It reminded me of practice rooms in the music department or a college. Except...they aren't soundproof. We got a large room for 6 people because that was what was available, but the small room looked like it would have done the job. The host explained the karaoke system and we were singing. Full disclosure: the remote is in Korean-but there's a piece of paper that explains the controls. There was a...unique list of songs. We had no problem finding songs to sing, but some specific songs would be missing (I.e. sometimes the artists' most popular songs wouldn't be there, but obscure singles would be there). It was pretty random for what would be available. You have full access to the menu at Hoban and drinks while in the karaoke room. We already ate, but we ordered drinks. We were having so much fun that we asked the host if we could extend our time. Online said they closed at 4AM, but we were informed that they actually close at 10PM. All in all, I hope to be back!

The first time I went to karaoke, my friend told me something that forever changed my point of view…read more- as long as you're having fun at karaoke, you're good at karaoke. As someone who trained in the art of singing terribly, this has been my motto going to karaoke since then. It doesn't matter if you're good or bad, are you having fun? Yes? Then it's a success. Doremi Karaoke is a lot of fun. If you're looking for a private Korean-style karaoke place, this is it. I mean it's legit - some rooms are equipped with the tambourines and everything, and rooms are decked out with long benches for parties, complete with the good old TJ karaoke system. Seriously, noraebangs in Seoul weren't even as old school as this. The only con about this place is the lack of microphone condoms, which is surprising with the COVID-19 pandemic, so we're all hoping they're cleaning those mics real well. Soundproofing also isn't great - you can usually hear the group next to you, and even if you're rocking out to your own jams, expect to potentially overhear bits of your neighbor's session - for better or worse. Sometimes you get a little inspired to queue up their selection next for your own session! Like other reviews mentioned, the entire system is controlled by a big remote, all in Hangul, but they have a placard with the English translation next to it. Make sure to ask or mention how to use it if you've never been there before or used the system - our server assumed we knew, and almost dashed out of the room before we mentioned this was our first time there. In addition, my friend and I were prepared to break out some old classics in preparation for an older, outdated song catalog, but to our surprise they had a pretty updated and robust catalog! Service was also pretty slow - there's no dedicated staff for Doremi, which seems to be owned by Hoban next door - they share bathrooms and are literally connected, so if the staff for Hoban are busy, you have to physically leave the room and flag someone down. The call button on the wall? Useless. So either eat before you go and play (you do get a 20% discount on your room rates if you eat at Hoban) and known what you want to drink right away unless you want to hunt down a server. Their prices are all pretty reasonable with the exception of soju - I know there's always an up charge, I would have thought $14-$15 was reasonable, but Doremi is charging $18 for a 375ml of soju. Oof. BIG OOF. They do take reservations, which is a boon, and you check in at the front of Hoban for your time slot - they get busy during the weekends, so it's always a good time to plan ahead of time! Also call to double check the times they're open - pandemic changed how their operating hours are, so the most accurate time is going to be the one they tell you over the phone. There's not a lot of places in the Twin Cities that offer a private karaoke experience, so I'm happy to sing (get it?) the praises of Doremi. While parts of it could be better, it's a great option for a fun night out.
