I saw a one star review of this place and I was a little worried but all the other reviews made me feel better. I have been here twice and enjoy it. If you sit down the vibes of the restaurant are nice too. Very clean. The chicken is some of the best I've had. It's so crunchy and delicious. The corn dog is great too, it's all cheese (no meat). Their seasoned fries are amazing too. Prices are fine. Not great but also not terrible. If you get the corndog, I recommend asking for sauce on the side and getting it plain. It can get a bit soggy with sauce on it. This place is definitely better as a sitdown restaurant than to-go. It would be hard for them to fix this, but if you get to-go, the chicken can get a bit soggy the longer it sits in your car for. They seem to try to prevent this by giving you a to-go container with holes in it, that helps a bit. You might be able to alleviate this by getting the chicken plain and asking for sauce on the side. Also, they didn't include silverware for my coleslaw. Which usually isn't an issue, but in this case I wanted to eat in my car so I didn't have anything to use. Overall, it's probably best to not just throw silverware in since people are usually just taking it home, but just something to note. They also didn't include napkins. My friends have been here and they agree with me on this next part. They could use some more sauce options. They only seem to have 3 versions. The Soy Garlic is fine. Nothing to write home about. The Danmae is my personal favorite but it's also really not great. Not spicy either, even though it's rated at a level one spice. The "Spicy" sauce finally adds some heat but it's not very good. Overall, I not only wish the sauces were better, I wish they had about double the options. Only having three is disappointing. When I arrived for my to-go order, I was well ahead of the scheduled pick-up time. They were nice about this and seemed to get my order going. I expected to wait a long time. I only had to wait maybe five minutes, and it was ready six minutes ahead of schedule. That was nice! They are passing the Credit Card fee onto the consumer. Due to this, and the lack of sauce options/poor sauce flavors, I'm giving them 4 starts. If they add more sauce options and get rid of the CC fee (just increase your dang menu prices a few cents or a dollar or something), it would be an easy 5 starts place. read more

Always looking for new spots to check out and had heard good things about Chingu's northern metro location, so had to check it out down in Burnsville! The space was clean, bright, and welcoming! You can tell they spent some intentional time and money upgrading the space to fit the vibe! I hope this spot helps encourage others to invest in Burnsville Center! Service was quick and friendly throughout. The only piece of constructive feedback I had was that all of the food came out at the same time, not necessarily coursed out with starters then entrees. The food was great though! Started out with the corndog and dumplings! Both were solid, although it should be noted that corndog didn't have a hot dog inside, just cheese ;) the real stars were the chicken wings, which had a deliciously crispy outside and tender inside, with their tasty sesame sauce drizzled on top! I'd come back just for those wings again and again! I also had the Chicken Katsu, which was a sizeable portion, perfectly crispy, and heavily drizzled with spicy mayo! My god this chicken was horrible. As a korean visiting from out of town this was downright offensive to me. First of all, the garlic soy chicken just tastes like straight up fried chicken dipped in excessive soy sauce that you use to dip your sushi in. Its supposed to be sweet, salty, and garlic, not just salty. The batter also had this weird stale taste to it which really was off putting. The chicken was also not juicy, it was kind of rubbery. The chicken also came out within 3 min. Im not even kidding, i placed my order and went to the bathroom to wash my hands. By the time i sat down, it came out roughly 30 seconds later. How are you frying chicken and saucing it that fast, unless it's just reheated. The side i got was radish, i had to spit it out cause it was so weird. It had a weird taste that i couldnt understand. It was pungent and almost fish sauce like. The radish is supposed to be crunchy, this was kind of soft and stale tasting. I did not finish this meal, it was to the point where i left the remainders and didnt even care to take it home. I was skeptical after finding out that the owners arent even korean, usually these places prove me wrong but in this case they straight up dropped the ball. read more

A new little hidden gem attached to the Burnsville mall. Super clean and nice inside Friendly staff! I ordered the lunch combo for 11.95 that came with about 6 pieces of meat and a bowl of cucumbers. Really flavorful fried chicken. Tender on the inside, crispy on the outside. I ordered 'hot' and it was perfect. Not crazy hot but definitely left your mouth feeling the heat. We have been to Chingu twice now, once on Mother's Day & once this past week. The food is really great, we haven't had anything we didn't like and we ordered a ton of food both times. Not only do you get great portion sizes but it's shockingly reasonably priced and a bang for your buck- which we truly appreciate in this economy! The Korean fried chicken is SO good, we have eaten it cold out of the fridge a day or two later & it's still crispy we like the medium combo (wings & drumsticks) & it feeds at least 4-5 people if not more. Service is fine, nothing bad to report, staff is friendly. The last time we were there though, they only played Justin Bieber music which was kind of weird lol, but if that's my worst complaint it's really not much to be concerned about. 10/10 would recommend- and they have a sister restaurant in the north metro called Chi Maek which is also amazing. I ordered door dash a year or so ago & had zero expectations & we were all very pleasantly surprised by how good it was. First time trying a Korean Fried Chicken restaurant. Came with a few other people. We were looking for something relatively quick and tasty. The restaurant is on the outside of a small shopping mall. It has a large, brightly lit, clean, and well designed interior. It is a sit down restaurant with no alcoholic beverages available. When we arrived the night before Thanksgiving, it wasn't that busy, with only a few other tables. Our server got us settled in. We said that it was our first time, and we got a little help with some of the items. We ended up with an assortment of items: Pork Buns, Fried Chicken Combo, Gesokara (Deep Fried Squid), and Galbi (Grilled Marinated Short Ribs). The Pork Buns and the Fried Squid came out first. They were both very good. The buns were soft, and the pork belly was tender and fatty. The Fried Squid was amazingly good. Super crispy, spicy but not too hot, and the squid was tender and not overcooked. Next came the fried chicken and the short ribs. The chicken was very good. Nicely crisp, and the soy garlic sauce was a great touch. The short ribs were a big disappointment. You should know that these are cut differently than what you might be used to. They cut the ribs horizontally, so you essentially have something more like a flat steak with several bones running through it. The issue was not the cut but the tenderness and flavor. They were tough and a bit tasteless. Using the soy garlic sauce from the chicken helped. The dinner was very good overall. I would order most of the items again, with the big exception of the short ribs. It would also be nice to have some alcoholic drink options, beer or seltzer. read more

My wife and I went to the Burnsville Chingu and really enjoyed our 1st visit. We didn't order any apps since we were pretty hungry. I ordered the spicy and mild wings along with the spicy chicken tacos, and everything came out hot, crispy, and full of flavor. I also want to include that this is now one of two places I have found that has great coleslaw. My wife ordered the buldak, japchae, and mild wings, she loved her choices and told me they were full of flavor. After dinner we went over to the other side where they serve matcha drinks, and I picked one up for her to wrap up the night. We got my wife the brown sugar boba tea with oatmeal milk. There were a few little hiccups from our experience in the dining area, but Wendy made the whole experience worth it. She has such a great attitude, friendly, positive, and easy to talk to. It was nice learning a bit more about Chingu from her. The Burnsville location is clean, modern, and has a really good vibe overall. We'll definitely be back again to try other menu options, and that awesome service from Wendy. read more

Went in right before their rush hour and was able to dine in. The servers were running around like crazy but I never felt rushed to order or to leave. Place is very spacious but they could really make the little area they have with a big table more useful by having more smaller tables. I felt that area was a waste while there was a lot of people waiting to sit. Everything I ordered tasted delicious except the soy garlic flavored wings. It was very salty for me. The guy said Danmae flavor was spicy but I couldn't taste any spice at all. I wished they would've let customers choose 3 flavors when getting the 30 pieces but I'll just have to go back to try the Spicy level. After the zoo, we went to Burnsville mall's food court to see what ethnic restaurants looked good to try. The one we wanted to go to was unexpectedly closed so we searched where else we could get Asian food. This place popped up on Google being right next to Lucky 13. We walked into such a pretty esthetically pleasing dining area and the service was very accommodating and quick. We tried half and half soy garlic wings and danmae on 10 wings and 5 drumsticks with pickled radish as a side. The outer crunch, tender meat, and marinade was literally mouthwatering! finally!! somewhere that's not in the cities that has good kimchi jjigae and this one is insane! NOMd: - karaage. huge crispy chunks with a perfectly balanced spicy mayo sauce on FRESH cabbage. flavor was on point not too salty. the only thing missing was a lemon wedge - kimchi jjigae. without imitation crab. like the first line said ... insane. Excellent food, service and ambiance. It was so bright and clean when we walked in. The service was wonderful. There was always someone checking on us. Simple menu with great photos and good descriptions. We had soy garlic wings, chicken fried rice and bulgogi bibimap. Some of the beat wings we've had. Flavorful, right amount of crisp. We'll try the other flavors on our next trip. My husband enjoyed his fried rice. Again great flavor and plenty of ingredients. The bibimap was the perfect mix of color textures and flavor. This place took over the old Applebee's restaurant space in the Burnsville Mall. I couldn't wait to try this place. We make a takeout order tonight not really sure what to expect. We ordered the combo wings and legs. Plain and soy sauce with white rice. They do have other options when you order the combo. We also ordered plain fried rice and seasoned fries. Well first the order was ready when i showed up and it was still hot. The inside was very clean and bright. Might have to dine in sometime soon. When I got home with the order it was still really warm. The chicken looked great and was very crispy and flavorful. The fried rice had great flavor and the sliced cucumber was refreshing. The season fries were also very crispy and hot. The seasoning was Parmesan and I believe parsley. Overall the meal was very tasty and no more expensive than any other place. I did notice there was a Matcha tea and ice cream attached to the restaurant too. Will need to try that also read more

Ate here with a group of ten to celebrate a birthday lunch, and it's a great space for larger parties! The food was delicious. Ordered the soy garlic wings and spicy drumsticks. The flavor and crunch was perfect! Food came out in a nice timely manner, so we appreciated not having to wait too long get to eating. The facility and clean and aesthetically pleasing. Bathrooms are very clean and well kept. Nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Our waters were always filled, which we appreciated!
