I will start off by saying the owner of this salon is an angel, she helped me and did not discriminate against me. And for her I'll give the place 5 stars. However, Uncle Daddy aka Damien Walters basically led me on to think i would get my hair done , only to reschedule the appointment and in the last minute tell me he doesn't want to do my hair for a reason he would not disclose. I am Trans , which i disclosed to him when he mentioned i have a masculine hairline. He called me on the phone after i inquired if my lifestyle was a problem for him. He told me that he doesn't have nothing to do with him so it's not a problem, to send him pics of what i want. Then we booked an appointment for Monday Jan 19th 2026. When the day of the appointment came, he said he didn't plan the day correctly and rescheduled me for the next day (today), at 1 pm. He canceled and blocked me at 11:53 am. The reason I'm giving the salon a 5 Star is solely because the shop Owner personally helped me find a stylist and made me feel comfortable while in her presence. The energy of the space was amazing! read more

I've been seeing Ms Debra for close to 3 years now, I have never been disappointed, she is professional, always on time, knowledgeable, patient, educated and she cares about your hair not just a quick buck, she is at the top of her craft. I went here a few years ago to get my hair braided by the stylist that was In the spot next to Debra and I watched her do Keratin/CHI (natural Keratin without the chemicals) on a few clients, I've been wanted to go natural but did not want to do a big chop, so I enquired while getting my braids she was patient enough to answer all my questions even though I was not her Client that day and a few weeks later when I had my braids taken out I started to transition to my natural hair. Fast forward to a few years later, my natural hair is long, healthy, shiny and I barely have hair loss on the daily, I was able to also get color in my natural hair. Ms Debra's skills and time is more than worth what I spend here, she has a customer for life here!!! read more

I just want to give a special shout out to Kena. She has been nothing more than amazing to me and my hair is always on point! I was wearing my hair natural and decided to rock something different, so I am back wearing a relaxer! I always leave with a different style! Not to mention when I was natural, that silk press was for the God's! She has always made wearing my hair easy because it's always healthy! I've always had healthy hair but Kena has those gifted growing hands. I'm very particular about who I let in my hair because it has a fine and healthy texture. I have went from natural to relaxed so many times that my hair should be damaged but because of Kena and her products my hair stays in amazing condition! I definitely recommend KONE Salon to anyone looking for amazing service where "healthy hair matters"! read more

The experience I had at this Salon was like none other. I had been searching for over a year to find a stylist, that could sew my hair in like I like it. Both of my sides are shaved so i was really nervous, when i called the receptionist TT answered and was very sweet. I wanted an appointment with Tia and at first I was told that she was booked. TT called me back 10 minutes later to see if i could come in for 1pm. When I got there not only was i greeted with a smile but Tia is and was AWESOME!!!!! Tia did my hair just like I wanted it!!! I showed her a picture and she did it just like the picture..... If you are looking for a stylist to do an awesome sew in Tia is the one for you!!!! She has a great personality and is very sweet she now has a life long client!!! read more

Hands down best salon! Been coming here for more than 12yrs. Kena is the best hair stylist and really knows her way around hair. Extremely professional salon and TIMELY. I love how she makes you feel important and special. I couldn't see myself with any other stylist and opted for braids when I was away for months on business. If you are in the Houston area or even visiting-this is the go to spot. I also love how K1 gives back to the community. Numerous times I have seen the stylist do donations, give classes, and support the youth! What other Salon you know does that?! Mrs. Kena and her team are really bar none. Hands Down. Period. Even if I go bald, I would still come to see Kena because I know I would have the best looking bald head around Houston! read more

I had a great first experience at K One. Renee was my stylist and she is awesome. She listened to me and made me feel very comfortable. She is an amazing stylist. All of the ladies that I came in contact with were so pleasant and that is not something I've encountered since I recently moved to Houston. I can't explain the struggle it has been finding a decent salon. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave the customer service is above average. I will be back for sure ! Rock on ladies! Y'all have it going on at K-One. read more

I have been going to Debra for over 30 years to get me hair done. I have never been disappointed. I never tell her how or what to do for me, that's how well she knows her clients. I trust her completely with my hair. Just recently I celebrated my 50th birthday, Debra outdid herself. My hair is gorgeous, I get compliments everyday. She is worth every cent she's charges and then some. I have never been overcharged nor have I waited an excessive amount of time to get me hair done. read more

I recently went natural about a year ago, and before that I always had perms. So I decided to go natural and cut off all my perm hair by myself, so basically I started from scratch. I never went to a salon to get a proper hair cut, and my hair started to get hard to comb especially at the ends. So I told myself it time for a haircut and Denae was able to get rid of all my dead ends, and now I'm in love with my hair all over again. read more

I've been in Houston for almost 2 years and I'm just now finding this place. Wish I would have found it sooner. Denae did my hair and she has me feeling beautiful. I'm 100% natural so it has been hard to find someone who can take really good care of my hair. She did a great job and I will definitely be back. The shop is clean and professional and everyone in the shop was very friendly. 10 stars!!!! read more
