I just have to give a shout out to the owner Kayra for taking the time to help me with my dog that has leg weakness. She groomed my fur baby and noticed he was weak in his legs. I too explained that it's hard bc he slips on our floors at home. She told me she knew of a client that used these toe nail grippers that helped with slipping on hard surfaces. She called this client to find the name and then went out of her way to call me. 2 weeks later I called her upon ordering the Toe Grips and let her know I was having a hard time putting them on his Nails. She told me to come in and she affixed each toe grip on my dogs nails at no charge as well as taught me how to do it for in the future. My dog doesn't jump out of the car in anticipation like the other reviewer however she does get amazing treatment and is done being groomed before I can finish my grocery shopping. They take great care of my pup and doesn't spend even one minute locked in a metal cage. I used to drive to Moorpark to have her groomed, but it made me uncomfortable leaving my dog from 9 in the morning till 4 at night. At K Pet the longest my pup has ever been there is 2 hours. This place is average at best. Nothing really makes it stand out. The first time Came by they said they were closed because they were out of water. I thought that was strange but came back in a week. They groomed my small dog but I think I probably could have done a better job myself. read more

Kyra is great and if your dogs like a day at the salon and enjoy primping this is the place! The dogs jump out of the car in anticipation and with appointments she works on the dogs and gets them done in a couple of hours. Use to go to a place where I dropped off the dogs at 8 and they werent done till 3! I don't want my dogs in a cage for hours and at Kyra's they have a play area and are only seperated before their baths when they are DIRTY! Why use PetCo or Petsmart? This is a great little place and parking is easy. read more

Do not take your dog here!!! First and last time coming here! I dropped my Pomeranian off for a lion cut and when I picked him up he looked horrible they cut off %90 of his fur and never asked me how short I wanted it or where to start the fade now he looks like a joke! I'll tell everyone who I know to avoid this place it was the most unprofessional dog grooming shop I've ever used! And they apparently cut him clipped his nails and bathed him in under an hr! Lol ya right! No blending of the fur as you can see from the photos it was a rush job not a professional cut read more

HORRIBLE! They give you a false sense of knowing what they are doing by making you" feel good" because your dog will be in a cage with no top on it. That's a laugh, a far as your dog is concerned it's still a cage!!!! My groomer retired so I thought I would give them a try. I had written instructions from my old groomer with her phone number in case there were any questions. I asked who would be grooming her, never got a straight answer. I am VERY picky about how I want my Maltipoo cut. I don't think they looked at the instructions. She looked HORRIBLE, the top of her head was about 1/16 of an inch pretty much looked like a flat top, her body was to short and her legs were to short and all choppy like they let a 4 year old loose with the scissors! HORRIBLE!!! Would NOT go here again if it were free. read more

my little girl is always afraid and acts like its the vet too so that's normal...but when i pick her up...she is jumping for joy excited. she's a little diva, so she's feels like a million bucks walking out. whenever i come to pick her up, she is roaming around, not caged up or anything. she is with other pups around the grooming stations and it's almost like a social event for her lol. Worst place I ever visited. They almost killed my dog. She developed a really bad rash all over and we thought she got fleas. We had to take her to emergency and they had to shave her fur as her skin was full of dry soap and they never rinsed our dog and she had lots of knots all over. If you want to kill your dog go here for the same treatment. read more

I LOV----ED KPET!!!! They got shampoo in my dog's eye caused an ulcer, and they covered all bills to heal his eye. So GREATFULL!!!! went to bring my puppies back in because they do the best work, however they said that they will no longer accept my dogs. I am in shock would rate a 5 star but I think that this is not how you retain customers, they should be lucky to even have me bring my dogs back after all that. Very Dissappointed in customer service, but not the way they are with dogs. read more

They do a great job with baths and basic stuff but if you ask for a trim, they will shave your dog. Not super short but it's a lot more than a trim. They don't use scissors to trim like they should but they use clippers which gets more than enough fur off. read more

I love K Pet grooming. I take my 2 German Shepherd's Riley & Echo to be groomed there at least 1-2 times a month. They always do a fantastic job and only keep my dogs for an hour or so. Thank you K Pet! read more

I don't write reviews very often, but I have to spread the word about how impressed I was with K Pet Grooming. I brought my German Shepherd in, and they did a great job with him. For a very reasonable price, they bathed and brushed him, trimmed his nails, cleaned his ears - and put a bandana on him! A day later, he is still smelling good. He has a lot of fur, and they gave him a thorough brushing. I recommend K Pet Grooming and will definitely bring my dog back! read more

My dog hated going to the groomers, until I discovered Kpet grooming. She doesn't like it when anyone touches her feet, but let's Kyra trim her nails with no problem. The dogs, if friendly, are able to walk around in the grooming area without being caged. I absolutely recommend Kpet. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!!I gave them very direct instructions on how I wanted my (2) papillion's cut. For some reason everything I asked for was done wrong! Both dogs shaved!! These are beautiful long haired dogs, you don't shave them!!! I wondered why I got in on a Saturday at the last minute and there was only 1 other dog in there when I got there (that should have been my first clue!!) Took my dog here and will never come back. When I called to make the appointment I told them that I would not be able to pick my dog up until I got off work. They stated that it would be no problem at all and not to worry. When my dog was ready I receieved not one or two phone calls but four stating that I needed to pick him up right away. Each time they called I explained that I had already told them that I would not be able to pick him up until a few hours later. When I finally got there I was told that I would have to pay a sitting fee since I was not able to pick him up right away. I would have been fine with it when I told them the circumstances when making the appointment or maybe even when they called the first one or second time. After arguing with the man at the front desk he stated that he could do be a "one time favor". What really upset me was when I took my dog home and he was scared the rest of the night, he even hid in the close! He has never once had an issue with a groomer! read more

KPet was recommended to me by a fellow dog-walker in the park who said she liked the fact that they do not use cages and allow the dogs to mingle with one another once they are clean. I recently brought my scruffy fella to them, it was his first grooming experience and I don't know who was more nervous, me or him! The moment I walked in I was greeted by Chris at the desk, who assured me that he was in good hands. When it came time to pick him up he was looking fabulous, socializing and apparently having a blast. KPet took away any nervous feeling I had about leaving my dog at a groomer - they are very friendly, professional, and reasonably priced (which is quite the bonus!). These are NOT groomers!!!! They are only capable of shaving and/or washing your dog, THAT'S it!!!!! They refuse to actually brush a long haired dog unless it is 110% tangle free! In other words already groomed!!!! I spent 5+ hours detangling my 4lb dog before bringing her to K Pet to be groomed, they washed & dried her, then called me & said she was matted & they could only shave her (because they we're not going to brush her out), or I could come pick her up, brush her myself then bring her back.....Pfffff....not going back....LAZY!!! read more

I would give this place negative stars if I could. DO NOT take your dog here!!! I've been taking my dog here for a couple of years simply because of convenience, it's walking distance for me. Never again. I've always been charged about $40 for a cut and bath for my 10lb Maltese. Last time I went the nimrod at the front desk tried to add on $5 for a special shampoo which I didn't ask for and it wasn't applied to my dog either. It was for a different dog and the girl who cut my dog's hair had to correct the guy. My wife just picked up my dog today and was charged $48. I called and tried to figure out what the extra $8 was for and the guy at the front said that the price has gone up. I asked since when? I had just brought my dog there less than 2 months ago and it was the regular $40 after he took off the shampoo that wasn't used on my dog. He said it had gone up January this year??? That's an increase of almost 25%, doesn't sound right to me. This guy has no idea what he's doing, I'm not sure if he's the owner, manager or just an employee, but whoever he is, it's affecting the business big time. I'd rather drive a bit further and hope for competent service. read more

Unspeakably poor customer service

Kpet groomers is the best groomers ever! They are friendly and treat your pets like they were their own. My dogs are never caged and even are allowed to roam around. The owners are really good at calling you just as they are finishing up on your pet so that you can come and get them right away. They make appointments for you, so that your pet is not away all day like some establishments. I love Kpets. I would never take my cocker spaniel anywhere else. read more

I love this place. I bring my little chihuahua here to get her nails clipped. My dog is usually a terror with this task but not here! No biting growling or even a snarl. She LOVES it here. This was by far the worse grooming experience ever. I've had dogs that need to be groomed since 1986 in the Simi Valley area. First of all, the man at the front desk seems "special". And I can accept that if he knows how to do his job efficiently, but he doesn't. Secondly, my dog had the worst haircut ever there. I asked him which groomer worked on her, and his response was " I don't know". It is an extremely unprofessional salon with no standards. I felt like I was picking my dog up from a groomer training facility run by a very incompetent man. Do not take your dog to this salon to be groomed!! read more

K-pet Grooming cut my 14 year old dog's inner leg in 3 places. My dog came home walking funny and I looked at her legs and saw why. She is very skinny and old and the stretch of skin where her leg attaches to her body has 2 gashes on her right leg and one on her left leg. When I called them to complain and ask what happened they lied to me and told me that she had warts there and they nicked them. First of all she didn't have anything there before and a wart is a bump above the skin. If you accidentally cut a wart is does not turn into a gash. Also, the chances of my dog having that many warts that I didn't know about in the same place on both legs is astronomically low. Look at the photographic evidence for yourselves but as far as I'm concerned these cuts are so bad that they may turn into an infection that kills my dog and K-pet grooming especially Kyra ( the owner who lied to me) is responsible. read more

I used to like Kpet but this last time was horriffic .... My dog went there with no fleas but came back and a few days later was infested. In my opinion my dog got the fleas from them. The groomer even told me that my dog had no fleas. They did not bathe or cut my dog properly sloppy job! I bathed my dog and cut his fur and found all types of dirt in areas I would have thought they washed ! My dog also had a wound on his back the groomer never told me about ... It became infected. The guy at the front desk, Chris has his head in the clouds, he is one of the most incompetent people I hae ever run across I brought my deaf blind diabetic super senior Bichon in for the 1st appointment of the day, made the arrangements with Chris, 2 hours later come to find out my poor baby was still in a stall waiting shaking like a leaf it is amazing it did not kill him, we left without getting him groomed. I figured he suffered enough for one day. I quit going there then got another dog after losing my Bichon boy and after a bad experience at another groomer I go back to Kpets but now I ask for the first appointment and sit and watch to make sure she gets the first appointment. This works out for a while but I am wasting an hour to hour and a half every two weeks watching to make sure they do what they say they will. So finally I drop off my dog for first appointment and don't stay because I have my granddaughter so they call and tell me over an hour later she is done. I pick her up and get home take her out of her carry bag and she is not cut!!!! I specifically wrote on the sheet to give her a short cut because I am taking her on vacation this week. So I call them up they say bring her in tomorrow, I bring her in and there is not one dog on the tables being cut, so I know they are going to take care of her right away as promised. I go next door for a pedicure come back an hour and 20 minutes later. You guessed it she is not cut!!! She is her bag in a stall and now she smells like pee! OMG I will never pay these people my hard earned money again!! Kyra needs to lose Chris and they need to hire a competent scheduler who can manage their time!! Bad bad business!
