I have tried so many donut shops in San Diego, trying to find the perfect donut. I've gone to all the 4-5 star rated donuts close to my home and church and was never impressed. I've driven by this place numerous times but judged it by its less than perfect little shopping plaza. A massive craving finally brought me here.. and I was pleasantly surprised! The donuts are the best I've had, without a doubt! They are not dry, heavy or overly sweet, but absolutely perfect. The shop is a definite mom and pop hole in the wall. The times I've been there, I have only seen the same little lady working, and she is absolutely the sweetest. She seemed to know everyone that walked in through the door on a personal level. I do wish they'd spruce the place up a little bit, but it is what it is. Grew up going to this place and the quality is still the same if not better. The selection is what you'd find in a chain donut shop except better quality and HUGE. I love the apple fritters which I can only eat half of but doesn't bother me since I save the other half for the later. It's cash only, or at least it used to be. The donuts arent very good, they are kind of on the dry side. One good thing, they are heavy. But not very tasty. They think that buy adding frosting, or creamfilling it makes it good, but the actual donut is subpar. Also...yet another mom & pop donut shop with no credit card or debit card machine. When are they going to move proudly into the 1970's? Nothing more annoying than stopping by for donuts for work, picking out 2 dozen donuts, then finding out... Stopped by here last Friday on my way to work and really enjoyed the doughnuts I bought..it was a half dozen for $5 the lady was really sweet. So I came back Yesterday (Tuesday) and was greeted by the same sweet lady and bought half dozen doughnut holes, one regular and a water. Great prices. So I came again this morning. From what I noticed they have a good amount of regulars in the mornings. Consider me one as well! Have to remember to pick some up on my way home Friday's seeing I live in El Cajon! Came here to get some late night donuts around 9 PM, and they were still making donuts! It smelled so good in there, I was so excited to get some! I bought a dozen donut holes, a glazed donut, and a cinnamon donut. The total cost was $2.85! That's freaking amazing. Come check out this donut spot, it's cash only but worth it. In giving this place 3 stars because the guy that was helping me gave me the old ass donuts on the top shelf when all the freshly baked ones were at the bottom. Personally thats disrespectful. If donuts are old and hard, donate them or something, but don't sell them to any customers. Get the donuts on the bottom of the shelf and not the top and you'll be fine. read more

I forgot my wallet in my car, went and grabbed it. Then realized I didn't even have any cash. I scrambled for change in my car but only had like two bucks LOL. I was big embarrassed, ready to make up another story as to why I can't pay for all them donuts she loaded up. She let me have them for two dollars of change ! This donut shop is on the corner of the mini shopping center with enough parking. As you walk in it is pretty clean and your basic donut shop. Prices are fair. I believe I paid around $18 for 2 dozens (one of the dozens had 2 of the higher priced maple bars). Maple bars are my favorite and this place did not disappoint.... they were bigger than other donut shops. I came in around 2/3pm and the donuts were fresh.
