There's a lot of open, dead space in the venue so they could definitely liven it up a little more but it's otherwise a really fun place. We hosted a birthday party here for my 9 year old. I had many points of contact with both the party planner at corporate and the location before the event. The service on the day was very disappointing. Often, we were unable to find our party host. The food was very delayed coming out despite my asking multiple times beforehand that it be delivered promptly. They do not provide any water to guests - part of the party package is one drink ticket per kid and the options are bottles of water, gatorade, or soda. You can imagine that every kid picked gatorade and was over-sugared and dehydrated. I asked for pitchers of water. The arcade is a room with about 10 games - only half of which work + all of which are filthy. They are very expensive. Our races started almost 30 minutes late. What should have been a fun party ended up being an extra hour long, and really expensive. I have not recommended this venue to friends. I was involved in a serious on-track accident at K1 Speed Burbank where another kart rolled over me, resulting in injuries serious enough that staff called an ambulance and I was transported to the ER. While the incident itself was alarming, what's worse is what happened after. I received no follow-up from the facility -- no call, no check-in, no outreach of any kind. Even more concerning, when I later reviewed the incident report prepared by management, it contained statements that did not accurately reflect my condition at the time of the accident, including my ability to move independently and my level of alertness. These inaccuracies had to be disputed after the fact. To make matters worse, despite the severity of the incident and the emergency transport, the cost of the race was not even refunded. For a commercial racing facility that markets itself as safe and professional, this lack of accountability -- from post-incident care, to accurate documentation, to basic customer responsibility -- is unacceptable. When a customer leaves your facility in an ambulance, truthful reporting, follow-up, and basic fairness should not be optional. This experience raised serious concerns about: On-track safety control Staff response during incidents Accuracy of incident reporting Accountability once something goes wrong Fun until it isn't. I had a really disappointing experience at K1 Speed and won't be coming back. During my visit, it was obvious that one of the staff members allowed their own family member onto the track in a way that felt completely unfair to everyone else racing. What made it worse was that another staff member actually slowed down the rest of the racers, clearly giving that family member an advantage to cut ahead of everyone. This kind of behavior completely ruins the integrity of the experience. People come here expecting a fair and competitive race, not to be manipulated so someone connected to the staff can win or get ahead. It felt unprofessional and honestly frustrating to be part of something that seemed so rigged. If you're looking for a fair racing environment, I would not recommend this location. i was very fortunate to visit k1 speed on my company's dime :) we had a team building event at this location and we thoroughly enjoyed the racing and the food. we had the buffalo wings, barbecue wings, beef brisket slides and cheeseburger sliders. all of the food was delicious but the wait time was quite long. the racing activity was soooooo fun, we were all very competitive and loved comparing race times. i would love to have a party here, but be warned, the food will take a while. i quite liked the service. i was saying please and thank you to the staff, and one staff member said it had been maybe two weeks since they were last told please. cmon people!! these staff members work hard to ensure a safe and fun activity, the least we can do is have manners. all in all, i would recommend k1 speed. read more

Fun for birthdays, events but it is not for little kids. This is because they have a minimum height. You must be able to reach the pedals to race. I would say that this is for 10+ years old. Even if a kid meets the height limit as a 9 yr old or under, you don't want to have disappointed friends who can't race since they don't meet it. When you race, it has your name show up. The race times are also emailed to you later. Staff is there to help if you get stuck or bump into some car on the track. There are rooms for food setup up. You can have pizza and cake with tables in there. Or you can eat at the outside tables. There is a bar area where you can order drinks and a game area too. I don't know how it gets when they are really busy. We came on a Sunday morning so maybe many people were at church. read more

After three emails across 2 weeks and a threat to expose their performative actions (which is what is happening here), they finally sent my email to the Burbank manager. While he did send a pretty lengthy explanation of the events of this horrid day from his perspective and a sincere apology, there was not, and to this day still isn't, any remedy offered. Twice he asked me to come up with a solution, and when I finally communicated that the only resolution that would have any merit as this point would be a refund, he never responded. I had trouble getting my Kart to go during the race, and the employee looked at me shook her head, threw the flag on the ground mad and walked towards me giving me attitude. I asked her to be removed from the race. Extremely disappointed with the experience at K1 Racing. I called earlier in the day to ask about their race schedule and mentioned that I'd be bringing my nephew later that evening. No one said anything about the possibility of stopping check-ins early if they got busy. We showed up around 8:50 PM, well before closing, and started signing in at their kiosk. An employee (Gisselle) stood there and watched us complete the entire check-in process without saying a word. Only after we finished did she decide to tell us, "We're not taking any more customers tonight." No sign, no heads-up, nothing. I explained my nephew is visiting from out of town and only here for a few more days. She couldn't have cared less. No apology, no empathy. I understand if you cut things off early when it's busy, but the complete lack of communication and basic courtesy is what really ruined it. This kind of customer service is unacceptable. I had never ever been to a K-1 Speed before. It was my friend's birthday and she had a party there. We went to the K-1 located in Burbank. The place was easy to find , kind if in an industrial area. The parking was not ample and the spots were very tight, but it was no biggie . There was alot of street parking but I didn't read the signs so I am not street if it was okay to park out front. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by staff. They had us come over to the counter and they checked us all in. We had already filled our waivers out online to the check in process was pretty quick. They were extremely thorough when going over the rules of how the cars worked and what behavior was expected from everyone. They put us in groups and we were in our way. At first I was afraid to go fast for fear of topping over but once I got the hang of it , I was on my way and I never looked back They have a pretty cool arcade with alot of old school games It's a bit pricey but hey you only live once I had a blast and I hope to go back soon with a bunch of friends Go check it out !!! The racing itself is pretty fun. But they are very disorganized. We paid for two races and after we ran the first race, they told us we would have to wait 20 minutes or more for the second race. After waiting more than an hour, we checked and found out that our names had not even been put on the list for the second race and would have to wait another 30 to 45 minutes. They did give us a refund but they should have let us go immediately instead of making us wait. Poor management. Also very loud noisy environment. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I was invited for someone's birthday party, and I had a blast! We arrived, signed waivers, were given masks, and hung around watching other races until it was our turn. We did 3 races. It was so much FUN! I had no idea they'd go that fast ( I actually thought we were doing bumper cars LOL, not actual go karts!) With each race, we received analytics on who was fastest, but not just for the whole race, but also who had the fastest lap that round. It was pretty cool! At the end, our top 3 racers were given trophies and got to stand on a podium for pictures. This was cute. I am already ready to go back. If I could give this place less than one star I would. My son loves the league here so we keep coming back. Luckily he's now getting old enough to also see the issues. The league is blatantly unfair. We had a party for my son's birthday. The kids loved the racing. However the drinking water situation is unbelievable and unsafe. They gave each kid a ticket for one drink. Great. They told me in advance we were not allowed to bring ANY food or drinks into the building and they may check my bags in case I tried to bring anything in. No worries. I figured they would have enough to provide. I found out when we got there that they don't have a drinking fountain. But they sell water for $4 a bottle. Between races, the kids were sooo thirsty they used their drink tickets. I tried to buy more tickets, but was told nope can't do that. The kids were running around a lot. And later they got thirsty again, and especially when they ate the food, they needed water. I asked for water and was told I would have to pay-- $4 per bottle. For 14 kids that would be $56. WTAF. Water is essential (and it's basically free out of the tap) and it's highway robbery to force people to pay such an exorbitant price for water! Eventually, I was lucky enough to get the general manager to allow an employee to bring us some small cups of water. It was highly irregular and not usually allowed and we were lucky the GM was there that day. Aside from that, the staff tried hard to pay attention to our party, but the host had nine other parties happening at the same time. He tried but It was very hard for him to give us the attention that we needed so we had to ask 3x for anything like food service and cake and the podium awards. Eventually we got it all, my son had a great time and that's what matters. read more

We live nearby and I've been many times with my 14-yr-old. We pretty much always have an amazing time due to the truly wonderful, professional, and extremely helpful staff. Weekends can be a little more hectic and require patience with rotating races in amongst the birthday party groups, but that's to be expected and guests should plan accordingly. We like to come when they first open, especially on weekdays w/ no school. We have both seen our race times and skills advance significantly in a short amount of time due to the enthusiastic and incredible advice from a staff that truly wants their guests to have the best time (Rafi and the 2 Daniels are the best!). Life isn't perfect and challenges arise, but when guests treat the staff the same way they want to be treated, with respect, kindness, patience, understanding, and grace, all gets resolved to our satisfaction and we keep coming back. If my son didn't like to race, i would never bring him here! So the race for JRs started and me and a few parents realized that there was 1 car going faster than the rest! But the karts at this location NEVER work correctly, they are constantly breaking down and ruining the whole experience for all of the kids. They are also continuously letting a kid who is clearly not the eligible height limit to drive the karts in the league and giving him preferential treatment and letting him choose his own cart (because he says he can only reach the pedals in one which means he is clearly too short to even be in the karts in the first place) We have spent countless hours and money here but as this keeps happening over and over again we are looking into some new options for our son tocontinue racing where he can actually get a full race in without the carts dieing or slowing down constantly read more

Such a sad experience. Took a 10 year old to go kart for a couple hours. He was told that despite being 57" he could not go on the adult go karts. No kids were here, so they told him he'd have to ride the Junior karts alone. They would not let me ride the junior karts with him because I was "too tall" despite us being the only people there. I was hoping to have a happy updated review. We came here on August 5 again for the Tuesday once a month League racing for teens. We signed in and paid at 5:50. They let us know that at 6:30. They would start the races which they did around 6:30. They spoke to the children and then the races began. I was actually surprised everything looked to be running great races were going well. I didn't see almost any accidents. I didn't see any carts being Exchanged or broken. And he is the HUGE downfall. At 8 PM I started to notice they were doing regular races so I went to the front to see when they were gonna call My Son and they couldn't find him in the system when they found them. They say oh you're here but they never unenrolled you in a race. And of course unfortunately My Son missed the competition. They told me they could add him to a regular race, but we'd have to wait two hours mind you we had already been waiting two hours. I asked for a manager no manager was available. I asked for a refund. They said a manager needed to give a refund I spent over $100 and not to mention My Son missed his game and I left work early in order to attend to this since it's only once a month and my son loves coming. My Son was so disappointed. He was so excited about this day as it's only once a month and he left crying and disappointed and heartbroken. Called the next day. I spoke to the manager they were able to give me a refund on just the race, obviously not and all the money that we also spent there by coming. This K1 really needs to get it together!! I only ended up here after a bad experience. I now see why this place has such low ratings! WHOA! No one wants to work here. We arrived during opening hours and discovered that the place had experienced a power outage. It seemed like all the power had been restored and the place was lit up. The workers kept turning away paying customers, saying it will be a while, even though it seemed like everything should have been up and running within minutes. We even compromised and asked if we can utilize the arcade room. And we were denied. All the games were on and working. So we walked away, thinking to ourselves, "HEY MAYBE there's something we DON'T KNOW. OH WELL, WE WILL BE BACK." As we made our way to our car, an employee showed up and told us the power has been back on it only takes a couple minutes for everything to start working, it's QUICK. WELP!
