First I would like to say I appreciated the service from the manager from this location. Our group was over an hour late for our reservation and he was still able to fit us in. Over the past 4 years I've raced at many K1 Speed facilities all across the US and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had at any K1 location. The track attendants were less than enthusiastic to be there. The service from the track attendants were actually horrible. From stopping the race every 2 laps too not paying attention to what lap we were on. The inconsistency from the karts were as expected. The throttle would stick, the cables on the the peddles were lose and the brakes wouldn't engage until it was completely pressed in, and the wheel bearings were shot on 2 of the 3 karts and the attendants failed to bump the karts up to speed for an entire race. After the main 16 lap race there were more than 8 times that we were stopped, taking a normal 25 second lap time to an average of 45+ seconds which was really annoying and less than fun when you pay $900 for a group race when there were less than 3 accidents. I would recommend going to this location and see the type of service they offer before making a decision to choosing this K1 Speed location. I would hate for someone else to have the same experience that myself and the others in my group experienced. read more

Paid for 2 races and $6 for a new k1 license. Both races my go carts battery was trash. 1st race the cart was super slow and the second race my cart died halfway through the race. A manager approached me and said that he added a free race to my account, but I told him I'd prefer to have my money back instead. He responded with," well we comped you a race to be nice, we didn't even have to do that." Never ever will I come back to this establishment. Very rudest read more

The prices are crazy high. The food is ok - but prices like a five star dining. The amount of time allowed to ride is fair however. We didn't get any special welcome or thank you even though we hosted a filled room of birthday party guests. I would go back - just eat beforehand. read more

As of this writing, I'm increasing the average rating! I'll start with the good - the actual racing is a good time. The carts are fast, and electric vs. gas has some benefits - don't smell like gas, it's not too loud watching that you can't hear anyone else. Everything went pretty smoothly getting instructions, strapped in, and most of the race (although my car randomly stopped at one point and it was around 30 seconds before someone could come over and get it started again). The bad - the customer service was the big warning in other reviews, and wasn't great. We were told it would be six races before us, but it ended up being a few more than that, but we also were told not to leave just in case things changed. All in all it was probably an hour and 45 minutes before we raced, and we were another one away from looking to get a refund when they finally called us. There's no way to know where you are in line or how many races/minutes you are away from racing, which is pretty frustrating, especially when it felt like other groups were slotted in ahead of us. The problem is, there's not much to do while you wait. They have couches and TVs, a pool table, and maybe two racing video games, and a cafeteria-like snack stand. If you can only have 10-12 people actually racing at one time there's gotta be more for people to entertain themselves. Last, it's expensive. $6 for an "annual pass", and $20 for one race. It's less if you buy more races, but they can't be shared, and if you don't live in the area or aren't going to go kart a bunch of times a year it's hard to commit to a lot of races and it's a lot of money to put down and then feel like you have to use. Bottom line, I would consider going back, but only with a group reservation (you have to have at least 8 people) and I'd aim for early in the day before there could be much of a wait. read more

Went to K-1 for the first time ever on 06/04/18 and it was an awesome experience I can't wait to repeat again!!!!! Since it was a Monday it wasn't crowded at all and we took advantage of the 3 races for $39 special that runs Monday-Thursday. Check in was smooth and getting through the training and helmet selection went fairly quickly. The track is indoors which makes it a destination for any time of the year. Staff were friendly and helpful. After each race they provided a results sheet, which was neat to have. I saw they had snacks and alcoholic beverages but we didn't get anything - just there for the crazy racing!! Keep in mind if you go - outright bumping is not allowed for everyone's safety. And I should add safety is their priority, followed by they want you to have fun. I will definitely visit again!!!! read more

We decided to have our son's 8th birthday party here, since he loves racing. We had the BEST experience!! Starting with the 1st phone call to the general manager, Dave! He's wonderful! He instantly makes everything calm and organized! Sometimes birthday parties can be stressful for parents, he makes you feel at ease. My son has raced several times but this was most the kids 1st time on the track, they absolutely LOVED it. The arcade area was a hit too! I would highly recommend the fishers location for a party or even just a day of racing! read more

Great place to race. Karts are in good shape and have noticed improvements to some damaged areas. Track is a little cold but I did notice the heat was working. Front desk is pretty friendly and informative. Noticed the cafe finally got a door. Just wish it wasn't cold so I could get better track times. read more

Although fast go karts are always a blast the service here... not so much! Waiting three and a half hours for two go karts rides when there's no one even there is insane. They let they're friends or regulars I assume continue to ride time after time without making them wait and cycling new people like they should, so if you're a new first timer, good luck getting a turn. Also they hold certain karts for regulars and their karts are much faster than the rest so rigging the karts is highly unfair. Although it's a fun concept, for as much as you will pay for a ride here, it's not worth it in my opinion. read more

We had a terrible experience. My son with autism was driving extremely slow .. it just so happens there were no other kids to race so he raced alone .. 4th lap they waived the flag for last lap .. the gentlemen, before he started, said the kids get 12 laps. I asked what was going on and was advised "we have people waiting" and that that it's actually up to 10 minutes. I asked to talk to the manager who made it a point to say if he has autism as a parent I am responsible to tell them so they would have handled differently . I said he should be given 12 laps as they said they would .. he said my son was averaging 200 seconds per lap (which he wasn't) and it's impossible for them to disclose every little thing such as the 10 minute rule .. I just felt like I should have been told first if they were going to cut his race short rather than assuming it was ok .. rather than just an apology he defended himself by saying he's been in hospitality business 31 years and even worked at Disney world .. and again it's my responsibility if my son has a special need.. bottom line we paid for a race and regardless of the speed I should have been consulted before they just made the decision to cut it .. They ended up letting him continue because I said if you don't want him to race you can refund us ... the manager gave us a free race for next time but this was the worst experience ever . Had a great time here, we were four people and walk-ins. Got all registered and found there were 9 races ahead of us...so a 90 min wait. We were given the option to leave and grab a bite close by, just had to make sure we were there at least 30 min prior to race time. We hung out instead and cheered on the other races. Seating was nice, lots of couches. The staff was great and showed us how to do everything. They also answered our questions very well. So my experience seems to have differed from other yelpers. As far as the racing, it was a blast...typical electric powered vehicles with lots of torque...can get up to 45mph. I'd highly recommend especially if you can round up 8 friends. The only reason I give it a 4/5 was due to cost. read more

I booked a Grand Prix event for my 40th and everything was on track.(tee-hee) I was happy with customer service and how smoothly the event went, however, it was only average. The track staff, however, kept things moving along nicely and was doing a fair job watching for safety violations. I also enjoyed the clean facility. Here's what's wrong. To begin with, the carts are trashed and not as well maintained as other K1 Sites. And the sad part is, the facility is only a year old. Also, the track area is a freaking ice box in the winter time; bring extra parkas. I would say with all the extra room they have, a few more games to kill some time while you wait for your event wouldn't hurt either. So compared to other K1 Sites, this one is only okay. read more

I was a little hesitant to go after reading some reviews but I had a blast! The workers were very nice and patient. They told us it was a 30 min wait but it didn't feel long at all. We did the (3) race package and felt the price was worth it but (2) races would of been enough. Just be aware these karts go fast! read more

This place could be cool if the management/staff weren't clueless. We had the WORST experience of our go karting (30 years) life today there. There was a person in a race with us that IGNORED the YELLOW, never slowed down, rammed us in the back 3-4 times. Finally, we were able to get the management to pay attention but they did NOT boot him from the race or the facility. We have an ankle that is in really bad shape due to this IDIOT and due to employees who PREACH safety but do absolutely NOTHING to follow through. It was a HORRIBLE experience. The managers watched this person ram people several times and did NOTHING?????????? Your waivers are worthless if you are warned about these issues and you do nothing. They even allowed this person (who didn't even appear tall enough to be in an adult car) back in to another FULL race. He is going to severely injure someone, but it won't be us because this place does not gives a rat's rear about this kind of behavior. IF this happened at Fast Times Karting, the person would NOT be allowed to return to the facility ever. read more

My friends and I went to this place on a Saturday afternoon and had an absolute blast!! The staff was more than accommodating for our large party and were very friendly. While we waited our turn to race my friends and I played some air hockey and pool. When it was our turn, the staff were great in helping us "find the line" on the track with their recommendations. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back. In fact, I'll probably host my bachelor party there this fall. read more

I took our teenage sons to this location after I had purchased a Groupon to try it out for a date night for me and the hub. Unfortunately, the Groupon expired but K1 honored the value, so no money lost and we got to see the place. Right when you walk in the doors excitement builds as you make your very own membership card under the high cieling concert lights. It's wall-to-wall racing gear and paraphanilia, there are comfy seating areas made of racing chairs that overlook the indoor racetrack (they sit low and snug, of so comfy... a bit too snug on the way up and out of them though for ol' mom.lol). The wait wasn't long since we just signed up for the "arrive and drive" deal. The boys raced once and had a good time and signed up for another race; and that second race they had an even better time. They were a little more comfortable and I was able to relax and watch them at one of the many tables they have along the track for the onlookers. The racers are provided with a printout of very specific stats of their race and the rules encourage them to race against time not each other. They have staff members that flag drivers to allow faster drivers to pass. We did see a brutal head-on into the wall hit by a kid, and there was no damage to car or kid that we could see. But the impact was brutal! The kid walked away from the race and I'm sure he had the wind knocked out of him, at the very least. It was crazy, but it definitely added to the high-octane environment. For me, it made me realize that my husband and I couldn't take a hit like that, not even a little bit of one with our backs and necks as cranky as they are; so it was probably for the best that we didn't end up using the Groupon for my husband and me. But it was a hit with the boys , and I think our girls would like it too! read more

This is the most honest review you will see. I've been to K1 Speed in Fishers at least 20X since they opened almost a year ago. My son who is 10 1/2 loves this place as do I; however it's become extremely painful to even attempt a visit. First and foremost private parties take precedence over EVERYTHING else...period! If there is a private party of let's say 8 people (minimum) NO ONE else can race while they are on the track. Even though I believe around 12-14 karts can race at a time, and in this case there are only 8 people, the other karts go unused. The private party pays extra for "exclusivity" so to speak and everyone else is left watching. It's not like other venues where there's a separate party room for pizza/cake/etc., then the party interacts with the regular patrons of that establishment (Dave & Busters for example). Here if there are 2 or 3 private parties on a Saturday/Sunday there may be a slight chance of an open race in between, but they are few and far between. If a party runs from 12:00noon-2:00pm YOU CANNOT RACE, if there's another from 2:30pm-4:30pm YOU CANNOT RACE, and then from 5:00pm-7:00pm YOU CANNOT RACE...get the picture!!! You cannot go online to any website or social media platform and check the schedule for the day. There is no available video screen when you walk in showing what's booked and/or what's open for that day. Your only recourse is to call and ask about "open racing" for that specific day. Even when there is a slim chance having an open race the times stated are far from accurate. Two weeks ago I called on early Saturday morning (10:30am) and was told there were 2 private parties and the only "open race" was at 2:30pm, 6:30pm, and 8:30pm. Not a lot of choices considering they're open for approximately 12 hours. My son and I show up at 2:00pm (30 minutes early) for the 2:30pm open race. As the time approaches and now 2:30pm exactly I inquire as to when the race will start. Greeted with a narcissistic grin and attitude I was advised that this had been pushed back to 3:45pm, and everything else did as well. So we went and killed time and came back at 3:20pm for the adjusted time of 3:45pm just to be safe. When 3:45pm approached I asked how many kids would be racing with my son. I was told it was just him, which according to my son isn't a race it's a drive. Unless I can go some night after work or school and around soccer/basketball practice I will NEVER attempt to go on a weekend ever again. I sent this comment for feedback on their corporate website and to no surprise I never received a response. read more

We had a company outing to K1 Speed. Everyone at K1 Speed made it very easy to host our event. Rin did a great job setting it all up and getting everyone registered. We ordered pizza from Jett's Pizza and it was warm, and fresh. David and his staff were great. They were very organized and detailed in their instructions which made for a great night of racing. Quite expensive and they make you purchase a racing card for $8/person which is not listed on their website. My car was completely sped controlled (25mph) so I was passed TWICE and was not allowed to make-up my 2 laps that were lost. Cars go 45mph. Lap 10 they must've figured out that my car wasn't going nearly as fast as the others, so they finally sped me up. Some lady, who should've been kicked out, was ramming everyone and constantly spun out nearly every single lap. She was eventually hollered at to use her brakes (during one of her spin outs), which she never did and no official confronted her after the race either. Only pro is it doesn't smell in there and wasn't as loud as I expected it to be. read more

This place was so great to take my Intern friends and I. The staff at K1 was attentive and made sure our time there was great. We went on a Friday afternoon and got seated in a race in no time. While waiting we asked the staff about the track and the karts that we were using. They were very nice and answered our questions with enthusiasm. We waited for about and hour and a half to about two hours. As we were waiting, (keep in mind, this was all over the course of TWO HOURS!!!) it was about eight or nine race parties that had gone prior to us. And we were there before pretty much 95% of them. So we were then *FINALLY* called up to enter the pit. So then, they claimed that one of our party members wasn't on the list to race with us. So basically, this was just human error. But still. So then, we proceeded to get a refund. We got a full refund, BUT WE WERE FORCED TO GIVE OUR SHIRTS BACK! You'd think they'd let us keep them to compensate for shitty service. So overall. Bad service. And also, this was for my uncle's birthday. So K1, YOU SUCK ASS! read more

The reason I give this track a 2 star rating is not because of the karts or the track layout, it's because of the staff. I've had both good and bad experiences here but it's been more bad than good. The last time I went to this location my kart was turned to sped three multiple times so that a regular wouldn't be passed by me. I wouldn't recommend going here if you race and want to practice passing and whatnot. I usually do not write reviews but I don't want what happen to our family tonight happen to you. We are on vacation and my three boys ages 20, 18 and 14 wanted to go go karting, so K1 Speed was near by. We were greeted and given our choices on how many races and the price. We went with 2 races for $39.99 plus $8.00 for a race card. The boys were instructed on how to drive the go karts etc. They had helmets on and they were checked before entering the track. While my son's were racing along with 10 other cars on the track each car going up to 45 mph my 20 year son went to make the turn and while spinning out another car could not stop quick enough, flipped his car over onto my son who had spun out. The car was on top of my son. All cars were stopped and the whole pit crew came running, at the time I thought it was my 13 year old, who if it was would probably be dead. My boys were not goofing around it was just a freak accident. My son and the other boy were not injured, thank god. The reason I am sharing this is that anyone who does not have a drivers license should NOT do this. Also there should not of been that many cars on the track with such a little track. No one came to ask us if the boys were alright. After returning home all shook up we did some research on the internet and found many more serious accidents like ours had take place at K1 Speed. Research before you go. I could of lost my son tonight. read more
