We had a birthday party on Saturday August 29, 2020. This was a really bad experience. First the person in the restaurant in the back had no clue what she sold, I asked if we could buy four pitches of soda, they didnt sell pitchers of soda, so I asked for 6 sprites and 6 cokes, they didnt have that either all they had was bottled water. Needless to say when we booked the birthday party they didn't allow outside food or drinks they told us we had to buy it from them. So the kids raced, sat in the party room for 5 minutes because there was no food or drinks everyone left, I was so embarrassed that I had told our guests we had food at the venue not to eat before arriving. I asked for a manager they told us there wasnt a manager working that day, what a waste of money and time. They need to figure out how to run a birthday party, they could have made a lot more money with food and drinks and maybe a dedicated staff person to assist with large groups, next party or gathering definitely not coming here The place didn't have any sodas for the party they didn't have any food I was told I could buy pizza or chicken tenders or some food for the guests. When I asked they said sorry they didn't have any then I asked for sodas and they told me sorry but we don't have all they had was water so that's what I bought 12 waters for a birthday party. read more

Is really boring for the kids even for me (at least during weekends and the first time there, the next time you don't need to do the registration process) We waited around 2 hours. NEVER AGAIN! Absolutely terrible experience. My husband thought it would be fun to take me here for our anniversary, as I've never done go kart racing before. First off they make you pay a "membership fee". (I assume the reason they do this is because they already took money from you so they don't care how you're treated afterwards!!) We arrived at 3:30pm and waited patiently for over an hour for our turn to be up. The intercom system is muffled over the carts so we did our diligence to be in the direct area waiting. We got our first ride in and waited again for our second turn, as we paid for. After seeing people who came after get in, next we addressed the team on the floor. I don't know if it was because we are European and my husband has a thicker accent but the response was nasty at best. Come to find out that we had been taken off the list, for no reason?? We addressed the desk girl and we watched as they all just stood talking, looking over at us and laughing. The next group was called and we asked again if it was us to which the response was "did you heard your name called?". At this point it is almost 6pm and we just wanted to leave. I'm currently at your location. I went to the restaurant to order my family food. Rissa the cashier, was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! I ordered fries and she stated she can not make them for an hour , because she only has One oven. I of course am not going to wait an HOUR for an order of fries. I then see the menu states you carry local craft beer. I nicely asked her which local craft do you carry... she looks at me and says I don't know. I said oh, because it says local craft. She said I don't know what that says I can't see that far. I said oh no worries, do you mind just walking Over to the fridge to tell me what those two beers are? Our family came here for my husband's 33rd Birthday and although my 6 year old couldn't race because of height restriction the Manager Mick and Race supervisor Andre went out of their way to ensure my family had a great time. Everyone was so professional and accommodating, they treated us so well that we will definitely be returning. This is a great place to hold a birthday party or just a fun place to hang out with friends. There's something to do for all ages. We went with a groupon and I felt the value was fair. Without the groupon it would of been pricey. I have since received several emails with coupons & specials. I am planning on going back soon. I took my son & his friend. They had a blast. I did not race personally but it is a fun place to take kids or adults. It's a great place for a first date. They have a clean lobby, snack bar & arcade games to play while you wait. I found the staff to be young they weren't overly friendly but not rude either. We spent a few hours there. It doesn't take all day after two races the kids pretty much got the adrenaline rush they were looking for and were ready to go. It was on a Friday early evening. I saw it starting to get busier as we were leaving. They charge for a "license" that is good for a year so make sure you hang on to it. read more

Great experience. Easy to find right off the highway. Reasonably easy to register on the computers. We went on a Saturday night around 9:30 pm which might be why it was pretty empty. My group of 3 raced with 7 other people so 10 total on the track. They went fast and was fun to ride once you get the hang of it. At times the track got a little congested, it would probably be better with fewer people. But then you wouldn't have the excitement of racing against other people! We only did one race but that was enough for me. Employees were friendly, we were in and out within an hour. I just went today and the place is in great shape and all the go karts are pretty new. Keep in mind that there is some road construction right in front of the K1 racing but you can drive from the side street or just make a U -turn down the road. The karts are all electric and are very responsive. Try to get the 3 races for $42 if they still have it. Overall very good, I will stop by again in a few months. read more

I took my boyfriend for his birthday, people at the desk check in were very friendly. They called us pretty quickly to get set up, you end up sitting in the cart for a solid 10-15 minutes before you actually go racing which was a little annoying. The signs say that someone will brief you on safety and show you how to use the go-cart which did not happen. I saw workers showing other groups but for whatever reason our group was overlooked. Granted it's pretty straight forward how to use it but still would have been nice. The second race we did one of the wheels came off another drivers cart, which was another 10-15 minute delay. Thought we would be there an hour tops ended up being 2 hours. The racing was fun but some drivers get aggressive so I just let them pass me. read more

Great place for children to race! However, weekends are very busy and usually have to wait. The kids birthday parties are a great value. Recently purchased a groupon for 44.00 for 4 races. First part. I came in, had to register an account at one of the five computers, then I got in line to speak to a cashier. The girl I spoke to was nice and very helpful. I came in prepared for rude and disrespectful behavior, because of the bad reviews. That's not what I got from her at all! Must have been my lucky day. I couldn't say the same for a man the other cashier was helping. She was speaking Spanish or something, I couldn't understand, but it wasn't hard to tell she was making the man angry. Dodged that bullet. Second part. I came on a weekend, so I wasn't surprised to hear that my friends and I had to wait 45 minutes - 1 hour to race altogether. They have a cafe with pizza, hot dogs, pretzels, chips, ice cream, popcorn, and bottled drinks. I expected more hot foods, but what they had to offer was enough to tide me over until I raced. They have couches and chairs for you to sit and wait at. The music was a little quiet and the boy speaking on the PA was waayyy too loud however. Final part. When my friends and I got called for the race, we were given instruction on how to race and what the flags mean. Very simple and easy to remember. Most important rule: no bumping people. Well, I don't think the other people I raced with got the memo since the were crashing everywhere. The male staff seemed the complete opposite of the girls out front. They were unenergetic, seemed bored, and I didn't appreciate the one with the tongue ring (unprofessional much?) spitting on me each time he spoke. The racing is what really made my experience go downhill at K1 Speed. I'm watching people crash each other while the track attendants text and talk to each other. I tried to talk to someone about it but it seems like the supervisor or manager didn't care. You don't care about safety? A good lawyer will change that real quick. TL;DR - K1 Speed has decent pricing, and the staff is either friendly or unprofessional. They have snack foods and lots of couches to relax and wait at. A lot of people crash, so strap that helmet or belt on tight. Seems like management is lazy - you can see it... Update: I found out the manager's name is Tony. Well, Tony I didn't appreciate your sarcasm. You need to train your staff better, and I've seen bad reviews of you. Was very excited to go with my friends. Have been waiting in a line for 1.5 hours for the first race to start. After checking with a front desk attended was told that we have to wait for 40 more minutes. After that was denied to get a refund and told that at the moment of purchasing our rides we were told that the wait is more than 3 hours. Having raced at the K1 in Indianapolis, I was excited to try this location while in Florida, but have never been more disappointed. The bathrooms were flooded, beginning to run out into the game area when we arrived. The water continued to spread into the waiting area, yet the woman at the registration desk let everyone wait 20-25 minutes in line-even leaving the desk at one point to put out more "wet floor" signs-before telling each customer (individually) that they weren't letting any new customers race due to the flooding, when they could have simply made an announcement to everyone and prevented people from needlessly waiting around. My experience here was great! My son had his birthday party here which included 12 kids pizza, T-Shirts & drinks including room. It cost around $663 w tax I added $25 Tip it's a little pricey but the kids had a blast! Louie the Manager was awesome! I think the pizza could be improved and they need more food selections. I gave 5 stars because overall They were polite and very caring with the kids. And they all loved it!!! Fun place and cars for younger kids too. Fast electric cars so no fumes. They are have little collisions and have the ability to slow your car if your being a reckless ass. The cost is better for multiple races and can be used at other locations and days. I would definitely give a referral for this place. read more

I came with my family to celebrate Father's Day. They told us it would be an hour wait. Fine. So we waited the hour and they never called us. We then asked how much longer and they said another 40 minutes. They never called us. Then they said another 20 minutes. It would have been nice to know how long we should ACTUALLY be waiting??! Last week was a hard one for my nephew in school, so i decided to surprise him. Picked him up after school and drove to K1. I didn't tell him where we were going, and when he saw that we are pulling in to K1 he was ecstatic. What a better way to put a smile on the face of a young man then to let an 11 year old sit behind a wheel of a race car... Although small, these thing really fly. So, school forgotten, test results vanished and one happy kid. Fourth time here and it was a bad one, there were alot of folks there and the vibe was cool but there was a dysfunctional employee working the flags in track 2 that had two incidents with two different customers driving that was uncalled for and I went into my final race not trying to get the attention of this flag kid. In my last race of the day with just two laps in I took a turn to fast and slid Into the wall accidentally and the flag kid I think his name was brent, brex ?? I'm not sure. Little skinny lanky flag kid , started to slap his hand on the wall calling me over . In a """" I gotta discipline this guy """"" matter. When I get there , the kid straight up told me ,((( Hey I know u got nice racing gloves on but your not a racer car driver))). In the most condescending way imaginable....I don't know him and that's no way to start off with a complete stranger that accidentally crashed. I can't even imagine what he tells kids that can't defend themselves if he spoke to a grown man like that. I simply removed myself from the situation. Other employees came to us and he tried to cover what he said but I made sure without raising my voice that he repeat how he started with me, cause he quickly started to blame me for leaving the cart when I was just removing myself from the scene before I even got to the gate a employee that had helped me early was already calling the manager for me. Before my last race I saw the same flag kid kick out a kid for accidently causing a innocent pile up which his dad lost it and went off on the same kid that disrespected me .....So I guess he took it off on me afterwards. If you go, you gotta be aware of this horrible emolyee cause he will ruin your experience and will eject u from your race. No refund either. read more

wish i could divide this review into 2 - 1 for customer service and the other for actual experience. ok so will give it a try 1 star for customer service - this was one of the worst we have received in a very long time. we were a group of 6 (at $27.50 each that's alot of money!) AND we were practically told to leave and not buy our tickets and ride. the young lady at the counter (register) told us that it was a 2 hr wait and that they were closing at 5:30pm - (it was approx 3:30pm) so it would be best if we come back another day cause our riders would not get to do their laps. so basically we were sent on our way home. at this time my sister in law noticed someone else speaking with a young man (who was much more helpful) and she addressed the comments we received with him and the size of our group. he immediately stated that the comments where incorrect and that we would be just fine and able to complete our laps. so we proceeded to the register and bought our tickets. the actual wait ended up being much shorter than 2 hrs and their actual shout off time was 6:30PM!!! you would think that they would do everything to keep a group from leaving - we did spend over $200 at the establishment - tix and some drinks!!! these girls at the register should be addressed in regards to giving out incorrect information and being much more polite. 3 stars for actual experience - kids loved it. it is a great place for some safe indoor activity. be sure thou that when u get the face cover, get one of the folded ones cause some not so smart people were placing their dirt ones with the clean ones. you have to dump the dirty one in a BIG bin right next to the clean folded ones! for $27.50 (u may be able to get a $5.00 off coupon from someone who leaves their race score paper around) gives u the opportunity to 12 laps. these seem to go by very quickly but the kids had a blast. there are 2 tracks - 1 for adults / 1 for smaller kids. everyone gets their own helmet (can take yours if u own one). it is lots of fun and each rider gets placed in the race. there will print out a sheet for you letting you know where you placed and the $5.00 coupon for next time. it is fun and we are planning on going back soon. how we get different cashier thou.. read more
