I've never gone karting before so getting use to the controls was the biggest challenge for me. Luckily I didn't crash into the wall..... too hard. Went up here for a friend's birthday and had a pretty good time. The track is easy to navigate around but getting use to the turns and speed is hard if you don't know what you're really doing. Not to mention my car had this weird vibration thing going on towards the last few laps (I ended up with bruises on my knees). Other than making me feel like I was going to throw up on the track I had a pretty good time. The one thing I will say is that this place is pricey. I'm not sure how much other places charge but I guess going there a few hours before closing didn't help either. Another thing is that their snack bar is limited to a few drinks and a few snacks. Mostly M&M's and Snickers and such. I'd go back since I have one more race left since I sat out on my last one but I'm not sure if I'd come back and pay to race. read more

This facility has a lot to offer. There are two indoor tracks that can accommodate elementary age to retirement. The electric karts can go 45mph but don't have any fumes to gag on. The indoor offers AC in the Florida heat with snack options and video games, with comfortable seating for spectators. Go Karts can accommodate those over 6 feet tall, which is a plus for those really big kids. Races are about $15 a piece, with weekday specials available. Each race allows 14-16 laps depending on skill and ability. You can bring your own helmet or get one here. Definitely not an every weekend event, but fun for big kids and little ones too. Had a great time, had a water leak in track 2. They let us race again on track 1..which was very cool. Paid $39 for 3 races on the mid week schedule, $8 for a mandatory membership. I get it, lot of square footage and employees to pay. Staff was super friendly and very safe, lots of reminders to stay safe while racing. Carts are fast. I took a group of 21 folks to K1 Speed last Friday night - mostly college students. After reading their FAQ, I saw that they recommend making reservations for a big group, and I'm glad I did. With two tracks, they were able to dedicate one track to our group from about 8:30 to 10:30 pm which was fantastic. We divided into 3 groups, sorted ourselves fastest to slowest, and just had a great time. Dan made it clear he would do all he could to help us, Isa was charming and helpful at the front desk, and Nate kept us all safe. It was not my first time taking a large group to K1 and it won't be my last. The karts are very well balanced. Yes, there are variations, but nothing like other places I've been around Orlando. Finally, besides the typical trophies and medals, Dan had a nice touch: Everyone in our group signed a used kart racing tire in Sharpie, and now we have a keepsake to put on the wall. On Sunday June 18, 2017-Father's Day, my family and I visited K1 Speed in Orlando, FL. As we were finishing our 3rd and last race, two other individuals, a woman and a man, started to aggressively bump into all the kids karts. Suddenly the karts were turned off and 2 male-employees casually walked over to my daughter and her friends Karts. After a long delay, they pulled the girls karts out of the race. I asked one of the employees if the girls were ok, and he responded "yeah, just a bit shaken up". The Karts were turned on and we continue racing. As we came out of the track I noticed 2 of the children in total panic. I don't see my daughter. I asked the kids what was going on and they said Gigi was hurt and that "they" had taken her inside. We all ran inside to find my daughter crying, scared, alone with strangers, and hurt. A young lady clerk was giving her first aid as I desperately asked what had caused my daughter's injuries? No employee was saying anything. So my daughter explained how this bully on the track kept bumping into them for at least five times until he bumped Bri with such force that her Kart ended up on top of Gigi's left side of the Kart. Gigi pushed it off her knee, with the kart still on top of hers as she frantically waited for the 2 employees casually walking towards them. Your employees on the track did not intervene. For that reason my daughter was hurt. They said, she was just "a bit shaken up" when she was actually hurt with visible injuries. They allowed us to continue racing without notifying to us that she was taken away without our consent and given first aid without knowing if she had any medical issues. She was crying and she was scared! Once her injuries were covered I asked the shift manager why these two people were not pulled out of the race, and her reply to me was "ma'am you signed a waiver accepting the risks" I told her this was about common sense. There was a grown man purposely bumping with force all 3 kids on the track and neither one of the employees who are supposed to keep it safe intervene. Furthermore, why even allow children to race together with adults on the same track? There has to be a better process implemented. Your Management team needs to better deal with sensitive situations as ours. I told your Manager on duty not to ever tell a mother whose daughter was just injured that "you knew the risk, you signed a waiver" I did not signed a waiver authorizing someone to intentionally cause physical harm to my daughter. This whole accident could've been worst because of their lack of attention. This was supposed to be a fun day. It was Father's day. Dad is supposed to be her hero, and he wasn't there to protect her because she was abruptly taken away. I wasn't there to protect her. As we laughed and raced, our daughter was hurt and surrounded by strangers. No apologies or compassion, but confrontation from your employees. read more

A little expensive but our boys loved it! While on vacation in Florida, it has rained just about everyday. Seeing that this was an indoor activity, we decided to come. I'm glad we did! Our 8 year old was under age restrictions so he had to race on the Junior track but our 14 year old was able to race on the adult track. We paid the $35 for 2 races per child PLUS we had to pay another $8 membership per child (not optional). I think having to purchase a membership is a way to get extra money, which is stupid because I highly doubt we'll go to a K1 here in Texas. We ended up paying $100 but again, it was worth it. Even our 14 month old had fun playing on the driving video game. They even have mini bowling. The boys had fun and were so happy and that makes us happy! Definitely recommend on a rainy day or even on a hot sunny day... be prepared to spend at least $100. Either way, you'll have a good time. read more

I go to K1 karting locations all over the country, and this Orlando location is one of the best kept. When you walk in, you might notice that all of the harnesses are loosened and placed well in the seats of all the karts. This kind of dedication to detail and discipline shows in the upkeep of the karts and the track. Also, just wanted to give Christian a shout-out. He went over the line with me and helped me shave a full second off my initial Laps, getting me into the top 3 for the month. K1 Speed is a great place for parties, date night, or group outings. The focus on safety and quality equipment more than make up for the slightly high prices and will ensure a great time. Located south of Orlando near the tourist district, K1 Speed is situated in a commercial area inside a large warehouse. The track is indoor, flat, and flawlessly clean. However, it was very warm and the A/C wasn't operating. Our group of five came here on a Sunday evening around 8pm. The waiting room has a pool table (operated by quarters), a large couch area where you can sit, some vending machines, restrooms, and several televisions playing sports. It's a great place to hangout while waiting for your turn, or to socialize if you're having a party. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't crowded. However, there were still a few groups on the track and we had to wait a few minutes to get on the track. I liked that you only had to go onto the track with your personal group. I believe you can also request to go individually. This probably makes the wait longer, however, it is definitely worthwhile and makes the whole trip more enjoyable. Before getting on the track, you must sign a waiver. After signing a waiver, you purchase a reusable card for $6 dollars. After this, you purchase your actual rides. One trip around the track is $19.99 (this may have been weekend pricing). However, there are various packages that offer slight discounts for multiple trips and "complimentary" T-Shirts. I had thought this was a little high for the flat, indoor track (not as visually exciting as the multi-level outdoor tracks that abound in the tourist district), but I quickly realized the price was extremely warranted due to the quality equipment and safety features. Prior to getting into the go karts, an employee explained how to operate the karts and what the various flags meant. They explained what type of behavior would get you removed from the track, but also mentioned that they hardly had to remove anyone. The employees can turn off the karts remotely and modify the speed when it's time to end the race. Everyone then put on a stocking cap that kept the helmets sanitary. This looked ridiculous but was a great idea. Then the helmets went on and were secured and everyone got into their kart. Two of us were not tall enough for the standard kart and required a "booster seat." These were added to the karts in moments and were entirely unobtrusive. Once everyone was settled and strapped into the carts, the employee opened the track and off we went! The tracks are twisty and have plenty of turns to keep the race interesting. There's a large screen that tracks how each participant is doing. It lists the times and your position in the race. It's really fun to watch, but you can't really look at it while on the track. After the race, the staff gives you print outs that track your performance, seconds per loop, and relative ranking compared to other drivers outside your group. The area outside the track also has seating, some arcade games, and a small snack bar. There were several people milling around and watching their friends race. It looks like you could definitely keep people entertained if you came with a large group. Overall, this is a great place to try go karting. It's clean, safe, and a wonderful option for groups of almost any size. read more

To go they do not I want to work they charge too much for the little bit you race they started me all the way in the back some person was late so they moved me right when I got in the Front the guy that was late come he Complained that he wanted to be in the front so they move me to the back on the seconds lap they slowed my cart for the rest of the race people were passing I was doing really good at the first lap any one they slowed me down everybody started passing for the rest of the race People keep on race like if it was bumper carts it was an hour and 30 minute wait for just one person to race I do not recommend going here it's a waste of money read more

Came here to race the fiancé for a rematch from our last vacation. We ended up doing the two race package since the lady at the front desk emphasized how short the races are and it also allowed us to try both tracks. We started on the left track. It was my first time at the place so one of the guys made sure I got a good overview of the rules and what the different flags meant while we raced. After I acknowledged, I got my helmet on and went to my assigned car. Luckily, they added a booster seat to help accommodate how vertically challenged I am. Off to the race! We went around the track about 8 times. The placings of the race are very accurate - you can't really rely on just passing someone as winning. They've got a computer system that monitors just how fast you are going. For example, my fiancé never passed me, but he posted a faster time by the end of the race. Second track or the right side had more tight turns - made me a bit motion sick, but it was a fun nonetheless. Fiancé ended up winning the whole race according to the standings. There are some serious guys that come here regularly as part of a monthly package, I suppose. One guy came with his own helmet and gloves to race. Serious stuff. Still, it's fun for a big group activity and you can make a big deal about it on the place's podium and even buy a trophy to show off. Location is a bit hidden since it is tucked away in the back of an industrial area. I wished the tracks were a bit longer to enjoy, but you definitely get hooked on racing! read more

Disclaimer: I've only come here with Groupons. I feel it's a great deal that way, while full price feels a bit too high. I consider myself a go kart connoisseur, and this place delivers the goods. There isn't much else here outside of the go karts, like other venues have, but their go karts are the faster than most, and the course is designed to challenge you. The kids course here is head and shoulders better than others on the area. It's much longer, and the track is very kid friendly while not reducing the speed too far. All laps are timed, and you get printouts before leaving to show off to all of your family and friends. If you love go karts, and aren't in need of a full complex of entertainment, this is your place. read more

The facility is great. We had our corporate event here with a full on team race to the finish line and awards ceremony. I also booked a private lesson for my 12yo son with Corey and it was excellent. He shaved 2.5 seconds off of his lap time. I was so impressed with Corey that I booked a second private lesson for myself. His instruction is very knowledgeable. This place doesn't even deserve a star. This place was not what we expected. My boyfriend and I went we paid for 2 races each and we get to the 1 race and a couple laps in another racer crashes an over laps my boyfriend as you see in the picture, the cart went on top of his body and left marks. They proceeded to say that my boyfriend was getting kicked out for "spinning out" and causing the cart to break when clearly the other racer overlapped him even sees the makers on my boyfriends body. The racer who over lapped him got to stay and race, when my boyfriend was not the cause of this act. They mentioned they would not give him the money back for the 2 race we did not do. We eventually got the money after a process of trying. Driving back from the place my boyfriends back and shoulder ache really bad to where I had to drive, an that is ridicules. If it wasn't for the wavier we DEFINITELY would have sued this place. They will kick you out for ANYTHING even if it is not you'r fault and can not help it, like in my case bumping into the walls.
