I come here to see Lynn for my pedicures. I actually followed her here to K3 from the salon she used to work at in Campbell. She gives the best pedicures and massages. I have never had anyone else do my pedicure. They recently remodeled and the salon is nice. The pedicure chairs and nail stations are all brand new. I came in a Friday to get my nails done. I was in the area so decided to come here ( I usted to come here a couple years ago ) Place looks really different it's newly remolded. You can go to the most nicest place but if they don't do a good job you just won't come back. That was my experience, my nails are super bulky and thick. My nails are lifting from the bottom near my cuticle and my hair is getting stuck under my nails. Came last week, 5/23 for a new set and a pedicure. Today, exactly a week later my nails look like I've had them done for weeks. There are all kinds of snags and hard clumps of acrylic that was left under a couple of nails.. also, the acrylic is lifting and cracking all around my cuticles. The top coat has chipped off as well. I went through such an awful, degrading experience while getting a manicure. I often refrain from revealing faculty names out of concern for the person's job stability, but I want to spread awareness instead for potential customers... or, should I say, victims. I'll start with the positive; The remodel looks great and gives a sophisticated vibe. They give you a yummy complimentary drink and snacks. Cindy did a great job on my pedicure. They didn't rush which I appreciate. I will say that they had me feeling like they were laughing at my toes when putting the separators because I've worn small shoes which cause them to be close together, but I can't confirm because they talk/whisper in Vietnamese. I don't know the name of the lady who did my full set, and I didn't ask because I was just over it. First thing I asked was if she could cut my cuticles and she said "later". I have a lot of cuticles due to biting my nails, so I know that cutting them will reveal more of my nails... but I trusted that she knew something I didn't so I didn't say anything. She applied acrylic first and cut my cuticles as the very last step. She said she wouldn't charge for cutting the cuticles, and I'm glad because 1. she did a bad job at cutting them, 2. she only cut the sides, and 3. the acrylic isn't covering my whole nail so they look grown out a bit already. She also filed my nails after polishing so she filed off the paint on the tip of my nails and the sides. I have a tendency of saying sorry because I poked her a few times and she muttered "sorry sorry sorry" under her breath. While doing the french tip, I noticed that one of my nails was filed unevenly and another had white streaks under the tips from the cleanup process. She said she didn't see what I meant, and continued working. I asked if she would fix it to which she replied "later". Later later later. I try to be very nice and respectful, but I was now irritated and I think she could tell, which is why she "cut my cuticles" "for free". Now looking at them there's still white streaks under 3 of my nails and paint on my skin. This is my second encounter with this employee and I'm hoping the other employees have better work. They began my appointment on time which was great. Although I didn't expect the salon to be busy on a Monday. When it was time to pick my color they didn't have my first or second pick gel polishes available so I went with black - not a big deal. When the lady was done painting my nails they were so bumpy and uneven. She applied an excessive amount of base coat/polish. That's when I knew I made a mistake. Anywayyyy it has only been 3 days and this afternoon I noticed my ring finger had a large piece of polish missing. It literally came off in one large piece - not hanging or anything. Just gone. I went back to the salon today and a random nail tech fixed it and I went on my way. Fast forward to tonight and now I have three other nails that are peeling. This gel manicure didn't even last 3 days without falling apart. $40 down the drain. Never had such a terrible gel manicure before. This place sucks balls! read more

I've been coming here for probably over a year now. I make the trip down from Fremont because it's the closest salon that does trendy designs. If you can't call to make an appointment you can text them but don't expect an IMMEDIATE response. Sometimes they respond in 10 minutes, sometimes they'll respond at 11PM. They were accepting Venmo/Zelle for awhile but last I went it was cash only. Luckily they are located next to a BofA and a Chase as well as having an ATM inside. Pros *I usually go to Mio for my nails and she pays attention to what she's doing. So does Diane (the woman who's always wearing long sleeves mo matter the temperature). Jen is great and so is Dan. *Yes on wait times but I've never waited more than 15 minutes. I understand that maybe the previous client came a bit late or maybe someone is doing a design that is super detailed. *Got a pedicure from this woman that I cannot remember her name and she really took the time to shape my nails and clean them. And she made sure that my chair was on. Con * my main concern is that they do their nails pretty thin sometimes which means less durability. So if you want them nails to be stronger, ask them kindly. I only get my nails done with Lynn. I followed her from another salon and have been using her for over 12 years. I don't do my pedicure there since Lynn doesn't do pedicures. Very picky who does my toes since I've gotten in grown toe nails from many nail techs before. I highly recommend Lynn for nails. FYI. I don't do the fancy acrylic nails with design, just the gel polish and it usually lasts on average 3 weeks give or take. Sometimes I can go 4 weeks. I like that they accept Venmo. Went with a group of 4 to get nails done for prom. My friend made an appointment for 5:30 on a wednesday and most of us were seated around 6. My nails are the blue acrylics and Gen was able to go off my reference photo easily and finished within an hour and 20 minutes. She was on the phone most of the time, but she did a great job and i was satisfied with the end result. The price was also pretty reasonable at $65, but my friend with the nude pink flower acrylics paid & $85 w/o tip because of the designs and around 2 hour time. I have been going here for the past six years with Bella she has been an absolute pleasure as a nail tech every time she is not there I get really sad and nervous about who does my nails because she's honestly one of the best nail techs there. I have loved all my nails that I have gotten done with Bella and when Bella is not available I do go with Jen. I am really sad to hear that Bella will no longer be a nail tech here so I will have to find a new place or a new Tech. I really don't know who else will do a good job here because I have tried almost everyone else at the chairs and either my nails break or lift very suddenly or the color is not properly placed, crooked nails. This review is long overdue, but definitely well deserved. I've been to so many nail salons in the area over the years, but this one is the only one that never disappoints - even with pricing! As someone who always gets an acrylic set with designs, I've definitely been to other places that charge more for doing less, or were not as nice or done as quickly. Just goes to show that the artists here must really know what they're doing. If you look at their Instagram account, you'll see that there's a wide range in technique and style for their designs. Would definitely recommend calling ahead though if you're trying to get something more fancy done than a regular mani/pedi, as they are always busy! (The only reason I'm taking away 1 star is because there is always a wait, even if you make an appointment.) At least there's a Starbucks located right next door if you do end up having to wait. It looks like I have fungus on my middle finger as well which is right next to the nail fungus on my ring finger so a total of 2 nails. After consulting with my doctor, I have to be put on meds. I'm prescribed Lamisil which is an antifungus pill that flushes all the fungus out of my system. My doctor had to do a blood test before prescribing me those pills because those pills have side effects that can potentially damage one's liver. This all could have been avoided had my nails not been yanked off and she was careful and not cut me and sterilized her equipment. Now I can't get my nails done for months. What a bummer. Let's not mention Christmas and New Year's is coming up. :( read more

I was in need of a mani and rushed over to have a lil' something something done. [[shout out to my Boo for letting me off early from work, you da BEST!!]] I walked into a completely full house and people sitting outside waiting to be seen. I informed one of the girls that I wanted nude powder on my natural nails- one lady tells me it's a manicure but another one corrects her and informs me that I want an OVERLAY. So I sit around until I'm called up to take a seat in one of their [BUSTED] chairs- no joke, this thing wouldn't even roll in the directions you want, it had a mind of its own. Wtf?? With the money rolling in, you'd think they can upgrade. Anyhow, I tell nail tech [whom I later discovered was CINDY] that I want to keep my length|square shape but have a nude overlay placed. To simplify things, I showed her a picture from their YELP. Everything seems to be going well until she starts filing the side of my nails all crazy. I inform her I wanted SQUARE and she insisted that she was doing that. Granted, the picture I showed her was claw|stiletto shapes so maybe she was going off of that. She did opt to fix my nails by building it up again with powder but I declined since I stopped her before any real damage could be done. Fast forward- my nude nails look good. I'm not really sure if it was worth $45 prior to tipping but they look good nonetheless. Honestly, this was my first set ever being done at this salon. I want to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the set of nails that I got. I am now two weeks after having them done I've had minimal to no lifting on any of my nails all of my gems (three on each fingers) are all intact and there was no peeling or chipping on my nails themselves. My FAV nail salon! I heard about this place through a friend who loves this place. I've been to a few other salons but this is the best. My friend always gets her nails done by Jen and I get them done by Binh. She is so detailed with her work and doesn't converse much which I like because I don't like chatting much. She also checks every step of the way about whether or not you're satisfied with your nails! If you don't like long acrylics make sure you let them know the length you want it because it's very popular to get them long at the salon. I love this salon because they make the nail just thin enough to feel dainty and not chunky like other salons I've been to. The shape is always perfect! Got multiple cuts, received bad attitude, & was treated like a child. My nail tech filed down my nail bed so deep it hurt, but I didn't say anything because I know people make mistakes. But as she kept going she cut my cuticles so many times causing me to bleed. She knew I was bleeding but didn't even acknowledge it acting like it was my fault for not relaxing. How could I fully relax when she's tearing up my skin over and over again. At this point I knew I wasn't going to tip/even pay for this set. She started to put on a random color & then put top coat when I didn't even get to tell her what I wanted. I told her the design & she half assed it making it look like blobs. I have never been cut this much by a nail tech on top of that deal with such attitude. By the end my hands were in pain. She left her seat right when she was done, came back a little later & threw some oil on my hands before letting me wash off all the acrylics & blood. Left to buy cuticle oil treatment & couldn't even do simple tasks with my hands the rest of the day as they were throbbing in pain/sensitive to touch. I've come to K3 a couple of times before but will not be coming back. I recommend not coming here if you want to be treated like trash. She'd probably see this review & remember exactly who I was. If you do come get anyone else or get the owner named Jen, but the lady with red highlights will cut you, I've uploaded a pic below of her plus all the cuts she gave me down below. Almost always have to wait for a good amount of time. Prices are good. Quality is hit or miss. I am usually not one to make an appointment with a certain person since I generally do pretty basic nails. Also, I just like stopping by when I have time. I do not plan to get my nails done ahead of time, although I may need to change this. I have had bomb nails that I was so happy with and the last 2 times have been horrible. I am not picky at all and already have two people who I wouldn't ever let touch my nails again. I'm not one to complain or throw a fit if my nails look like shit, I just won't go back to that person. Now I'm contemplating on not coming back to this location all together. Salon is not at all clean or kept up. It's pretty much guaranteed that when you sit down the table you are at will be covered in nail dust and clippings, gross. It doesn't take much to wipe it off onto the floor or place a fresh towel down. The service is not relaxing as you feel like you are being rushed do that they can get to the next guest. There is a parking lot directly behind the building however it does get pretty full. If I don't have an appointment I try to be there first thing in the morning. There is seating inside so you generally have to sit and wait on a folding chair outside until they are ready for you. Overall this place does legit nails...most of the time. Shape is on point, color selection is huge and the price is low. There are however a few people that I would never go to again so it's a little hit or miss for me here. read more

First time getting my nails done! I normally paint my own nails to save some dough but couldn't pass up the opportunity when my friend offered to pay for a girl's mini spa day. We both opted for simple gel manicures. My nails have never looked this clean! I have super dry cuticles ... we had an appointment for 5:30pm on a Tuesday but we were both late. No worries though because it was a full house, didn't have to wait that long. Nancy made my first nail experience great! She trimmed my nails a bit after I gave her the go signal before filing/buffing them. My cuticles were pushed back and each hand was soaked in water one at a time as she diligently removed dry skin/cuticle. Again, my cuticles were so neat! I was surprised when she squirted some hand lotion on and gave my hands and lower arms a light massage, super comfortable! My hands were under the UV light at least 4x each, kinda stung near the cuticle. Base coat applied, 2 glittery red coats for the holidays, another glitter coat (the blue?), plus shiny top coat. I asked for a festive design (I had a photo) on my ring fingers. So cute! Anh drew the white design and added the gold glitter polish.
