Surprising that this place is still open and are ripping people off by selling fakes at the store…read more The new Nike swingmans are not legitimate and places like Vancity sports and pastime sports aren't selling them because Nike only has an agreement with footlocker, champs, and lids to sell their product.....not these mom and pop shops. I went to the store and saw their selection after buying a jersey from lids in Robson and Granville and it was interesting so I did a little comparison between the two and the one from Granville sports felt so cheap and are charging the same price as other stores. The new mamba jerseys are not stitched in the Swingman form and yet they had them here. Also, when questioning where the jerseys came from, he said they were from his supplier on the US and he has no idea on exactly where the jerseys come from. If you want legitimate NBA jerseys, this is dope me place to definitely avoid.

I never once thought that this guy is just trying to make a sale, he was committed to making sure we walked out happy - and we sure did! When ringing everything up he was even able to work up a bit of a discount for us - and gave my son a free ball. This store is about a 45 min drive from where we live and I will 100% be going back, totally worth the trip.

Not only was this comment out of pocket and inappropriate, it could've also ended poorly for the cashier who had asked it, if it had been asked to a different person. I wish she would've just scanned the tag and let me pay for my back pack instead of making me feel awkward about asking me about my political beliefs. This is the second strange interaction I've had with this cashier, hopefully 3rd times the charm.

Was looking for a few items where the online status shows availability but not on display and no salesperson around to ask or their automatic response is "whatever you see is what we've got". A statement that is more of laziness than true. ...Then why does your online presence say otherwise. So many items are either not priced or mispriced...it is frustrating. Again no salesperson to be found. Only cheerful ones are those going on a break or leaving for work. Then they will answer "whatever you see is what we've got". Terrible experience.

IIf I want a piece of equipment, I know where to find those sections, but the clothing is quite confusing. The service here is hit or miss. The people on the floor are usually very helpful. At checkout, though it really is hit or mess. I had one person who totally messed up in order as though she didn't know what she was doing, and I had to doublecheck and triple check to make sure there wasn't a mistake on my credit card. However, I've had other times where a more senior person has been very reasonable in rectifying problems with merchandise. It's not my favourite location for layout and I left thinking I'd rather shop online where it's easier to find what you're looking for and there's more organization. I do like how MEC is back in Canadian hands now. As of May 16, it will be under majority Canadian ownership.

Terrible customer service and the warranty. I have a Granville backpack which is less than a year…read moreold, and the fabric on the front cover is deteriorating significantly for a normal use. I called the customer service and they told me to bring in the backpack in a store, so they could ship it back to their head office in North Van for an inspection. When I took it back, the sales person asked me if I have washed the backpack. I was a bit puzzled and told her that I haven't. She then warmed me that they may charge me $15 for some kind of bad hygiene practice or another as the product hasn't washed and they need to inspect it as it is. I was thinking who would wash a backpack?! I asked her to make a note on the file that I cleaned the backpack, so that they can waive the charge. She then told me that it would take 4 - 6 weeks generously until they finish their inspection and get back to me on what they can do about it. This is my first time dealing with their warranty, however I dealt with Lululemon and Patagonia for their product not standing to be what they claimed, and they have always dealt with the issues immediately and made me happy. They have never made me wait for 4- 6 weeks. I have a quite few items from Arc'teryx, and I would like to support a company which started locally, however my experience was QUITE disappointing.
